Gao Yang didn’t know where to put his hands and was staring blankly at Phoenix, who was looking back at him in confusion.

"Why are you staring at me like that?"

Gao Yang wasn’t sure whether he should pull out the gun at his waist and shoot Phoenix in the head.

"I’m thinking if you plan to avenge your friend."

Phoenix furrowed his brows and softly said, "No."

Gao Yang let out a breath and said, "That’s good."

Phoenix thought for a moment and said, "Can you tell me what happened then?"

Gao Yang wiped his nose and said helplessly, "Uh, simply put, your friend was with a mercenary group that is hostile to us. We met on the battlefield, that’s it."

Phoenix looked relieved and said, "Very well."

"And then?"

"What ’then’?"

"You said very well, then what? What’s good? Why is it good? What do you plan to do? How are you going to handle your friend’s death? Phoenix, it’s fine to be brief, but you should at least show your stance, otherwise, don’t you think it will be awkward for us to interact?"

Gao Yang let out a breath, waved his hand, and asked, "What was your relationship like?"

"Rivals and friends, we appreciated each other and became friends. Actually, I never thought of her as a friend. I don’t think that makes us friends, but now that she’s dead, I think maybe we should be considered friends."

"True, since Lola is already dead, and her boyfriend is unrelated to me. Okay, her boyfriend’s name is Hughes Grant. You should be able to find his pictures on Lola’s Facebook."

Gao Yang immediately looked at Cui Bo and said urgently, "Can you check the phone now? Not yet?"

"Yes, yes!"

Cui Bo took the phone and put it in front of Phoenix and asked urgently, "Is this her?"

Phoenix took a look and nodded immediately, "Yes, that’s her."

Gao Yang let out a sigh and said quietly, "Screenshot the photo and send it to Little Donnie, investigate everything about him!"

Phoenix raised his hand and said loudly, "I’d like to ask something."

Gao Yang turned his head and said, "Go ahead."

"When Lola died, wasn’t her boyfriend there?"

"No."

"Can you be more specific about what happened?"

Gao Yang sighed and said, "It was like this: we heavily damaged the enemy and had the chance to wipe them out. The enemy was fleeing, and that’s when Lola stepped in to block our pursuit, covering the others’ retreat. Then I chased her for a long, long way until she got lost and I caught up with her, and I killed her."

Phoenix shook his head and sighed, "Not surprising, Lola was a girl with a strong sense of sacrifice. She would do something like that, or maybe her boyfriend was already dead, and she wanted revenge for him."

"Maybe, but it still needs to be checked."

Phoenix raised his hands and said, "Alright, I have no further questions."

Phoenix was brief and had few questions, which was quite nice. After nodding in satisfaction, Gao Yang said to Cui Bo, "Pass the info to Little Donnie, make sure to handle this matter properly, and then we’ll set out."
