MIGHT AS WELL BE OP-Chapter 1013: Insanity
"Should we begin the last battle?" Klaus asked in a calm tone, his black eyes shifting toward the Older Generation as he did not bother asking the Younger Generation.
They all nodded their heads in agreement; after all, there was no need to delay or waste any more time.
Rain sat with a pained heart. He knew Aura Nova was next. She had basically only won against Sky Kingsley, which was her first battle; since then, she had lost every single battle until now. Rain was confident in Aura Nova’s talent and battle prowess, which was why he had not hesitated to bring her along when she requested to follow him for the Galactical meeting.
He had thought she could dominate everyone with ease, but it seemed as though his own view had been limited and these children were literally cheating. He could not help but sigh and wish that Aura Nova would at least win this, although he knew how utterly ridiculous his wish was; he still could not help but harbor a bit of hope.
Although he did not understand Aura Nova’s Omniedit ability to its fullest extent, at least one of her Commands should allow her to win, right? Just like the one she had used against Sky Kingsley.
’If she could use that, she would definitely win,’ Rain told himself. He had already come to understand that Aura Nova had a gap weakness, a gap from the moment she activated her ability to the time it manifested. Rain wished Aaaninja would be too arrogant and would not exploit that gap; he wished that Aaaninja’s newfound power would get to his head and make him arrogant.
If anyone heard Rain’s thoughts, none of them would be surprised. The man did not know Aaaninja; why would he care about him? Aura Nova was his daughter; it was only right to believe and wish that your child wins even if all odds seemed stacked against them.
But at the same time, a smile bloomed on his lips, for he knew the moment this spar ended, Aura Nova would lock herself away in some form of secluded training, and the next time she came out... the easy wins that others had secured over her would no longer exist.
As for Mitchelle, she simply waved at Anthony with a smile on her face, extremely proud of her overpowered son, who displayed abilities she could not understand every single time he fought. As for Michael, a grin was plastered on his face, because after this spar, it would now be a battle between him and Klaus.
Klaus turned to Aura Nova and Aaaninja and spoke, "We will not need the heads display anymore; the both of you can just go down and wait for my signal."
Aura Nova and Aaaninja simply nodded and vanished from where they stood. Aaaninja could not help but cast one last glance at Klaus; even after he had reached the Apexus Mana Rank, he instinctively understood that he stood no chance against the man before him.
He appeared on a desert landscape, standing a few meters away from Aura Nova, his eyes wide open, his presence relaxed as whatever pride or arrogance that Rain wished to exist within him from gaining a new level of power simply did not seem to exist.
Aura Nova stood with the same confident smile; the fact that she had lost against almost everyone did not bother or affect her. She would simply return to claim her victory sometime in the future.
"Begin," Klaus’s voice tore through the air as he gave the signal.
Aura Nova did not hesitate; there was no need to exchange weapon attacks or use any other Commands. She jumped straight to her ultimate Command.
Omniedit: Command: Root Access Mode.
The words left her lips with ease, a flicker of surprise flashing within her eyes as she had expected Aaaninja to stop her before she activated it, just like how Lucian had done, but Aaaninja had done none of that... just like how Rain had wished.
’Jackpot, that’s my girl,’ he screamed in his mind as a wide smile appeared on his lips and across his face. But the next moment, the smile vanished as a look of shock and utter bewilderment appeared on his face. But he was not the only one; even Aura Nova stood completely dumbfounded.
Why?
Simply because her ability, Omniedit, had failed.
Just like how Kingsley had tried neutralizing Aura Nova’s Omniedit by deploying Law Defiance Field, which erased every energy, even Mana itself, Aaaninja had done something similar but entirely different.
Aura Nova’s Omniedit relied quite heavily on Mana, her only weakness when it came to this ability. And at this moment, Aaaninja had seized total control of all Mana within the Separate Plane with ridiculous ease. He did not erase it like Lucian and Kingsley could; no, with his breakthrough to the Apexus Mana Rank, and with the knowledge that had filled his mind from the time he was connected to the River Of Time to save Lucian’s life, Aaaninja’s Mana Control now bordered on what one could only call... insanity.
Aura Nova felt her mana within her core; she willed it outward, she tried controlling it, but it was all useless. Her own Mana refused to obey her the moment it left her mana core. Unlike when Aura Nova had simply teleported to leave the radius of Kingsley’s Law Defiance Field, she knew such things would be useless here. After all, every Mana mote now obeyed only Aaaninja at this moment.
Aaaninja walked forward with an indifferent calmness, his power having touched a threshold that only Klaus, Amara, and Anthony could understand. He was a different class of existence at this moment, and if Aura Nova, Lucian, and Kingsley did nothing, they would all be left in the dust.
Aaaninja arrived before Aura Nova, standing a meter away from her, their eyes meeting. Aura Nova’s gaze remained unchanged, her eyes still confident, unbroken, unshaken by the fact that she had no way to win at the moment. Her eyes only seemed to convey the conviction that when they met again in battle, it would be Aaaninja’s loss.
Aaaninja did not speak; his hand seemed to twitch, and the next moment Aura Nova was decapitated with ease at a speed Aura Nova could not follow, as she had not even seen him draw his blade.
And with that, Aura Nova had lost by decapitation, and the sparring session between friends and anomalies had drawn to a close.

AUTHOR’S NOTE: Hey everyone, I hope y’all enjoyed the battle and fights that came with this sparring session as I poured my heart and mind into it. Also, the updates will be stable from now on, as I’ve adapted to the pains of swollen fingers. Do remember to support us with golden tickets and gifts, as we are extremely low on the ranking. I seem to be losing readers each new day... sighs.
