Miss Witch Doesn't Want to be a Diva-Chapter 1167 - 167: The Frost-Eyed Witch of the Practical Combat Camp (Part 2)
In the past, buildings, shuttlecrafts, tanks, etc. seemed so large, but now they all appear fragile and small, devoid of any threat.
No wonder so many people enjoy piloting mechas, Tilan thought.
Sitting in the cockpit, she wore a relaxed expression, with her spare hands even flipping through a combat manual she brought along. Meanwhile, the external mecha engaged in a series of complex maneuvers, flights, tactical rotations, mobile shooting, and so on.
For Tilan, maneuvering this training mecha was quite effortless. Even multitasking, she could perform numerous high-difficulty actions and maneuvers. Her training progress gradually caught up with those experienced military cadets.
At dusk, after a day of training, Tilan emerged from the mecha, then nimbly jumped down, standing on the mecha's arm to look out at the field beyond the warehouse doors. Breezes swept through the hall, giving her a sense of freshness, and the few beads of sweat on her body quickly evaporated.
"Heading back, Hecate~" Maggie waved at her from below.
"Alright." She then directly leaped from the mecha's arm, landing effortlessly on the ground.
"Wow, so cool~" Maggie gave her a thumbs-up.
"We have a day off tomorrow, so we can relax tonight~" With that, Maggie pulled Tilan to join the others ahead.
"They've organized an outdoor barbecue. Don't be late."
"Alright, alright, but can I change my clothes first?" After all, the pilot suit was tight, and she sweated a bit during the day. Tilan felt it would be more comfortable to wear something breathable.
"I get it, considering how cute you are, if I don't let Hecate change, others might be disappointed too, hahaha." Maggie didn't mind the clothes-changing issue, as she usually relied on the air circulation system that came with the pilot suit, which was enough.
Half an hour later, the two appeared in the open area outside the Practical Combat Camp. The air here was relatively thin, requiring special oxidizers to fuel the barbecue.
"Oh, the beauty of our Practical Combat Camp has arrived." A group of people greeted Tilan. Although initially somewhat resistant, over the days of interaction, this 'little sister' who quickly caught up to speed gained everyone's approval.
Indeed, although Tilan wasn't much younger than them, she appeared to be only about 16-17 years old, exceptionally youthful, hence she was also called 'Little Sister Hecate' by the other cadets.
Freshly showered, Tilan wore breathable sandals, light pink nails paired with light thin straps, exuding the unique freshness and captivating beauty of a young girl. Sitting in the seat, her toes gently touched the ground, occasionally swinging in the air, indicating her pleasant mood.
"Truly more enchanting the more you look." Two cadets stood side by side not far away, whispering as they watched the girl sitting not far in front of them.
"Her calves are slender but not bony, her thighs... too bad her skirt doesn't show them clearly."
"Alright, alright, you two should say less. She can hear you, you know." Sure enough, the girl not far away stopped swinging her feet, resting them slightly under the seat, and turned her face while munching on the barbecue in small bites.
"To pilot a High Rank Mecha, one must at least be a Sequence 5 Transcendent. It's said that Hecate is a Sequence 6 prodigy girl, and she can still hear you gossiping about her."
"Ah..."
Enjoying a rare day off, everyone gathered here to barbecue and chat, discussing their hometowns and recent news.
"I'm from the Northern Calo Star Domain. I loved playing with cars since I was young. Later, my dad was afraid that I'd get into bad habits at college, racing and causing trouble, so he sent me to military school. Who knew I'd end up piloting a mecha, which is way more thrilling and interesting than racing."
"Wow, that's really cool. I wasn't as lucky. I went to military school simply because the tuition was fully waived; otherwise, I couldn't afford other universities."
"And you, Lu Luka?" The cadets asked a red-haired girl present, who was slightly built and wore a black tank top and denim shorts.
"Me? Of course, to become stronger."
"In the army, you get to handle all sorts of high-power, real heavy weaponry, which is way more exciting than street fighting."
"Seems like you aren't an ordinary girl either." If you're not on M*VLEM*PYR, you're viewing a copy.
"Of course, there aren't many ordinary girls who can enter the army and survive well." Lu Luka skewered a slice of cooked steak with a small knife and ate it.
"How about we make a bet?"
"What bet?" The others were curious.
"Bet on how many nerds will confess to Hecate tonight." Lulu smiled, raising her finger to point at a few individuals hesitating in the distance.
"There are always those who can't see clearly, thinking Hecate's gentle and easygoing personality makes her easy to pursue. They probably think that as long as the atmosphere is right, they can easily win her over."
"Hey, you don't say, actually..." Actually, they had similar thoughts, just didn't expect someone to take action so soon.
"Okay, so what are we betting?"
"Anything too expensive, you guys wouldn't want to give up, so let's wager next week's rationed snacks and drinks. I remember it's two boxes per person, and if you lose, you have to give me half."
"OK, that's quite fair, but what about you? You only have two boxes too, can't compensate for the three of us."
"Heh, if I lose, I'll teach you guys how to date. Judging from you all, I guess you've been in military school for too long to know how to charm girls."
"Oh, Lu Luka, you're truly a goddess in my eyes." One of them raised a cup.
"Aha, flattering me only now, it's already late." Lu Luka also raised her drink.
Not far away, several agreed male cadets approached Tilan, initially with some teasing hoots, then a rather shy one stepped forward, holding a bouquet of roses from who knows where.
