"…Here we are."

As he muttered these words under his breath, Valyr let out a faint sigh as he admired the massive arena a fair distance away from him.

After using both of his identities to discuss with Mystia regarding his preparations for the upcoming Myriad Prodigies Tournament, the young man mostly spent the last couple of days refining his control over [Soul Split].

After all, he couldn't be certain that there wouldn't come a situation where he'd have to use both identities at once to fight each other.

However, just as he thought that the last couple of days before the tournament would pass by without any massive event happening, Valyr instead received a couple of messages from some familiar individuals just before the day the tournament began.

Of course, those individuals were none other than Dalton from Astella City's Mage Guild, as well as Aster from the Stelyra clan.

Having obtained great benefits from being affiliated with the young man during the Nine Prodigies of Astella tournament, it went without saying that the two organizations wanted to continue reaping benefits from his participation.

For Dalton, their conversation regarding the benefits and the conditions attached to said benefits were more or less done smoothly, considering that the guild had readily shown him help when he asked about subclasses.

On the other hand, the conversation between him and the Stelyra clan was a bit more strained, especially since Aster had demarcated a line where it showed him the limit of where the clan would support him.

Because of that, since Valyr was the one who was in control, the two ended up striking a deal where the clan would receive a far smaller share than what they obtained back in the Astella City tournament.

Then again, that meant that the Stelyra clan would have to fulfill far less conditions than the Mage Guild did in order to obtain, which Aster directly told the young man that it was a fair trade.

"The Algerie Amphitheater." Continuing to admire the massive structure from slightly afar, Valyr watched as hundreds upon thousands of people congregated towards the arena, most of them eager to see the fights that would unfold during the tournament.

Naturally, there were also those who entered the arena for the tournament itself, their subdued auras containing more than enough strength to instill fear towards those who stared at them for long enough.

Confident in the strength his two identities had reached thus far, the young man eventually began to move closer towards the amphitheater as well, only to then make a detour to a nearby secluded alley just before arriving at the various queues.

"[Soul Split]."

Whoosh!

After making sure that no one would see what he was doing, it was only then did Valyr use the skill to split himself into his two identities.

Doing a bit of calibration to make sure the two could independently from each other's thoughts, the young man eventually had his player identity leave for the arena first, with his more well-known identity appearing at the queue around half an hour later.

"Name?"

By the time Valyr was about to line up on the many queues into the amphitheater, Ataraxia was getting himself registered as a participant of the tournament.

"Are nicknames allowed?" he asked, giving the attendant a slightly curious look.

"That is fine." The attendant nodded back.

"Let's go with Azure Mage, then."

After giving the attendant a nickname, he then proceeded to go through a few more checks, making sure that he met the minimum criteria necessary to enter the tournament.

Though, with him having become known as the dark horse of the Nine Prodigies of Astella tournament, a great portion of those checks were removed.

In contrast to the mostly uneventful registration process Ataraxia went through, Valyr had begun to garner attention even while he was still on the queue.

"Hey, isn't that…?"

"There's no way… but…?"

"Are you sure…?"

At first, the people around him looked at him in disbelief, wondering if what they were seeing was true.

However, as more and more people confirmed that they weren't looking at an illusion, excitement began to erupt across the queue as Valyr's participation in the tournament began to spread.

'Man…' The young man inwardly let out a sigh as he tried his best to ignore the cheers and shouts that were all for him. 'I've practically disappeared from Veldanyr for more than a few months already, yet they still remember me?'

'Well… at least I made sure to activate [Thousand Polymorph] before coming here.'

'It would've probably complicated a lot more things for Mystia if I were to queue up using my original appearance.'

Deciding to focus his attention on what his other identity was currently seeing in the meantime, Valyr slowly moved forward along the queue as his participation quickly became the hottest piece of news before the tournament began.

To no surprise, rumors over his reasons for participation began to appear here and there, with some of them even claiming that he was participating in the tournament to show everyone that he was the strongest person below the Myths.

Unfortunately for them, the young man was oblivious to all of that, only snapping back to reality the moment he arrived in front of one of the attendants.

"Pleased to meet you, Sir Ylvar," said the young attendant, giving him an awe-filled smile. "Would you be participating in the tournament using your real name, or would you be using a nickname?"

"A nickname," replied Valyr succinctly, his expression calm. "I'll go with… Azure Spear."

"Azure Spear… noted." Jotting the information onto a tablet, the attendant nodded.

"Normally, we'd move onto the verification of class rank. However, there's no need for Sir Ylvar to go through that."

"There's also no need for Sir Ylvar to go the verification of combat strength, especially considering the feat you've achieved while out in the frontlines."

"With that, all that's left is the organization you're affiliated with," said the young attendant with a smile. "Do note that only the organization you mention will benefit from this. Mentioning an organization does not increase your rewards whatsoever."

"My affiliation…" As these words faintly left Valyr's mouth, the gears in his mind began to turn, wondering if he should mention the Blacksmith Guild as his affiliation.

However, not long after, he had a better answer in mind.

"The Azure Coalition."

"…Yeah. That's my affiliation."
