Modern World Warlock-Chapter 308: Radeon and the Stone Death Knight

After Megan, Lindsey, and Irina shattered the necrotic orb atop the building, they felt the air around them getting heavy, slowing down their movements as they glanced at another building across the street.

When they detailed the individuals, they noticed the frame of two people standing tall, also staring at them from their location.

One of them wore a long hooded cloak that shrouded his identity, while the man next to him was double the size, wearing heavy armor that seemed to be made of boulders.

"Ugh, that skeleton guy again…" Lindsey commented.

The blonde recognized the aura flowing from the hooded man and identified him as Radeon, the Netherlord who had fought against her before.

When Netherius ordered his Death Knights to attack different parts of the country, Radeon and Saturio traveled south, where they fought against the sibling leaders of the GTS. However, due to their strength together, the siblings were forced to retreat.

Still, while Lindsey recognized Radeon's aura, she had no idea who was the man beside him.

"Ah, it's the elementalist girl from last time…" Radeon said, loudly enough for the trio to hear it from their location.

"Ugly!" Lindsey shouted back.

Nevertheless, Radeon didn't care for words, so he was wholly unaffected by the blonde's insults.

When Megan focused her vision on the hooded man a bit more, she was able to see his skeletal face, which was a bit unsettling, but she didn't feel the same disgust that Lindsey felt.

"You don't like skeletons?" Megan asked.

"Who does!?" Lindsey replied.

"I don't know. People who like Halloween? Archeologists?" Megan replied, her tone slightly sarcastic.

"There's a difference between a costume and a fossil from a talking skeleton that can use forbidden magic!" Lindsey clarified.

"Are you done joking around?" Irina interjected, her gaze solely focused on the Death Knights across the street.

"Honestly, this isn't the Death Knight that I wanted to find…" Megan continued, sharpening her gaze.

Before any of the women could say another word, they were interrupted by a projectile that was shot straight at their location, making them jump off the building's rooftop to avoid getting hit.

Megan took out her dagger and slid it across the windows of the building to slow down her fall, looking up and seeing the massive, unnamed Death Knight plummeting towards her.

After the brunette held onto a balcony's scaffolding, she broke through the glass door and entered a random apartment, followed by the massive Death Knight, who landed on the same balcony and rushed towards Megan inside.

'What even is this thing!?' Megan pondered, stepping back and avoiding the Death Knight's fist, only to be met with a gust of wind that was created from his strength, flinging her back out of the building.

When she landed on the street, the massive Death Knight crashed down a few meters away from her, standing tall and allowing the brunette to get a good view of her opponent.

The Death Knight didn't speak, so Megan understood that he wasn't at the same level as Vesnia, whom she had fought at the Jade Palace.

The massive undead wore what seemed to be heavy armor made of stone. His shoulder pads were two large boulders, and his helm looked like a carved face on a statue.

He held two long hatchets in each hand, also seemingly made of stone, and when the Death Knight straightened his back, he was almost eight feet tall, prompting Megan to take a cautious step back.

While Megan and the stone Death Knight faced each other on the street, Radeon aimed his palm at Lindsey and Irina, who were flying straight towards him.

"Death Lance," Radeon chanted, generating a bony spear above him that was at least two meters long and shooting it at his opponents.

Lindsey and Irina easily avoided the lance, which crashed against another building and knocked it down, proving the immense power of his spell.

When Lindsey got closer to the rooftop, she took a deep breath and blew the air out, creating a strong, icy wind that made Radeon jump and levitate to another rooftop to avoid getting frozen.

As soon as he landed, he was met by Irina's claw, scratching his skeletal face and ripping the side of his hood, showcasing more of his bony features.

"Lindsey was right. You are one ugly fucker…" Irina commented, badmouthed as always.

"This appearance is a mere side effect… Compared to you, I would give anything away for more power," Radeon replied, unfazed by the vampire's insults.

"What the fuck do you know about me, skeleton?" Irina replied.

While the vampire sentinel had no problem dishing out insults, she was easily taunted by them.

"I know you are a mere vampire sentinel. You don't have enough power to stand against me," Radeon replied, pointing his bony hand at Irina.

"Death's Push," Radeon chanted, releasing a wave of necrotic energy.

Irina felt as if she was being grabbed by the arms and carried out of the rooftop, slamming her body against the bottom floor of a building.

At that moment, Lindsey had flown to Radeon's location and released a barrage of wind slices all over the rooftop, slashing and breaking the structure.

Radeon was caught by one of the slashes. Nevertheless, his bones were pristine, while his robe was cut from one side.

"Wind attacks again… Girl, why don't you use other elements!?" Radeon pondered aloud.

'Is he seriously asking that?' Lindsey pondered, believing that the answer was obvious.

"I thought you were knowledgeable about magic," Lindsey replied.

"Knowledge comes from doubt. How are people supposed to learn if they don't ask questions?" Radeon commented.

'The ugly skeleton has a point…' The blonde thought.

"So? I'm not obligated to answer your questions… Figure it out by yourself," she replied, refusing to answer.

"Hmm, well. I was hoping to save time, but I suppose I'll have to get the answer using other methods…" Radeon replied, preparing himself to attack the blonde.
