Mommy Wolf: Raise A Cub, Claimed By His Beast Daddy-Chapter 190: Beast King’s Wide Grin
Ruela was amazed by her new home—no, it was more like a mid-sized mansion. She was glad that Sisi truly cared about her wellbeing, but that also made her feel a little anxious.
Because all this time, she had been seeing Sisi in bad faith. Even if she was influenced by Leah at that time, she still chose to think that way. So she wasn’t free from blame.
Thus, Ruela decided to make an oath in her heart to do her job seriously as Jojo’s spokesperson.
Besides, she could visit the palace anytime, and as Jojo’s spokesperson, she still wanted to bond with him.
She never had a real sibling in her life. So maybe she should start seeing Jojo as her cute little brother whom she needed to protect at all costs.

Kael was in a great—no—absolutely fantastic mood today. He rarely felt this happy in his life, and Sisi’s decision regarding Ruela became the source of his newfound joy.
He didn’t really care if Ruela left the palace, because it would save him some headache. But he didn’t expect Sisi to send Garou with her, even though it was obvious that Garou was infatuated with her.
It was proof that Sisi didn’t have the slightest feelings for the young man, and that meant Kael had a chance to slowly warm her heart even after all that mess.
Thus, when he finished the morning court and went straight to the Queen’s courtyard, his big grin scared everyone he passed.
All the guards and servants were terrified because they had never seen their king grin in good faith.
Usually, when he grinned, that meant someone had offended him and deserved to die.
As Kael made his way to the main building, he was greeted by Sisi, who was carrying Jojo on her back while they walked around the corridor, heading to the pavilion.
He rushed toward them and flicked Jojo’s forehead. "What are you doing hopping on her back like that? Sisi is not strong like me, and you must be too heavy for her."
"Ouch! Daddy, you’re so mean!" Jojo pouted as he rubbed his forehead. "I want Sisi to carry me because I like hugging her! Daddy, don’t be jealous!"
"I’m not jealous!"
"But you sound jealous!"
"I’m not!"
"If there’s more noise between you two, then I’ll just go back to my room," Sisi finally interrupted, and the father-and-son duo zipped their lips immediately.
Kael followed Sisi to the pavilion while asking a few times, "Let me carry him," or "He’s too heavy. Just let him walk on his own." 𝓯𝙧𝙚𝒆𝙬𝙚𝒃𝙣𝙤𝒗𝓮𝓵.𝙘𝙤𝙢
But Sisi ignored him, because she actually wanted to carry him this time.
It reminded her of the time they were in Roc Forest, when Jojo would often ask her to carry him in her arms or on her back.
As they entered the pavilion, Sisi set Jojo on a chair and then turned toward Kael. "You look so happy today. Is there any good news I should hear?"
"Good news? No, it’s a fantastic one!" Kael beamed.
Sisi had never seen him look so happy like this. He was already very handsome even when he was angry or serious, but to see him with a big, silly smile on his face softened his features and made him even more handsome in Sisi’s eyes.
On top of that, his happiness was contagious, and she couldn’t help but giggle. "I’m curious about what makes you so happy like this, Kael."
"It’s you!" Kael said as he hugged Sisi tightly. "You are the reason why I’m so happy today!"
Sisi was caught off guard by his warm hug, but she didn’t try to retaliate because she could feel the radiant joy emanating from him.
This might be the very first time Sisi could feel warmth coming from this man, and it made her feel... safe.
She closed her eyes as Kael hugged her for a good while. They stayed in that position for a long time until Jojo asked, "Daddy? Sisi? Are you still there? Why is everyone silent?"
"Oh—" Sisi and Kael snapped out of their little bubble and looked at Jojo.
"We’re still here, Jojo. Your Daddy is just very happy right now."
"Very happy? Is he smiling too?" Jojo asked.
"Yup!"
"Uwaaahh! I haven’t seen him smile for a long time!" Jojo got excited, but that excitement died down quickly. "But I can’t see him anymore..."
"Oh, Jojo..." Sisi signaled Kael to kneel right in front of Jojo, and then she grabbed Jojo’s hands and helped him feel his father’s face. "You might not be able to see him for now, but you can feel he’s smiling wide, right? His teeth are showing right now!"
"Un! Daddy, you should be happy like this more often, so Sisi will like you more!" Jojo advised.
"I will try," Kael said as he glanced at Sisi. "Besides, Sisi chose me to stay by her side anyway."
"Oh? And what do you mean by that?" Sisi asked.
"You sent Garou to live with Ruela. Isn’t that a sign that you don’t want him by your side?" Kael asked back.
"Hmm... rather than not wanting him, I just think his protection is unnecessary, especially since I’m already well protected by the strongest man in the entire kingdom. What more could I ask?"
Sisi’s words were clear and concise, as if she never had a doubt in her heart about sending Garou with Ruela.
Then Sisi suddenly leaned forward and whispered, "I don’t know why you sent a young man who’s obviously infatuated to be by my side. But you shouldn’t play around like that with me, Kael. I know clearly what I want and don’t want. There’s no need to test me like this."
Kael’s heartbeat raced immediately. Yes, he had been guilty of suspecting Sisi of liking a younger man like Garou, when in fact she had never stated that.
He had been running around with his own assumptions, but Sisi was far wiser than that.
"I am... sorry..." Kael muttered, making sure Jojo didn’t hear.
"Apology accepted. Just don’t make me do something like that twice, got it?"
"Mm..."
