Mommy Wolf: Raise A Cub, Claimed By His Beast Daddy-Chapter 196: Darling Sisi (II)
"Ohh..." the trio of faeries looked at Jojo at the same time, but Sisi felt they didn’t seem happy about the revelation.
Nevertheless, she continued her narrative, "I can’t leave for now, because I must take care of him until he grows up. So why don’t you guys stay here for now and tell me all the things about faerie land? Grandma Tree said that I was born there, but I don’t recall anything about it."
Crush Tutu, Jan Keke, and Bold Dodo looked at each other anxiously, and as the most eloquent of the three, Crush Tutu replied:
"We can tell you everything about the faerie land. But, darling, isn’t it better if you go there yourself and let Grandma Tree tell you everything about yourself? My Grandpa said not to speak anything about our darling’s past, because it is a secret that only the elders and Grandma Tree know."
Sisi was quite impressed that these faeries were smarter than they looked. They were forbidden from telling her about her origin, but were able to mention her birthplace, which basically acted as bait so Sisi would want to go with them.
"Hmm, now that you mentioned it, rather than asking you to tell me about faerie land, wouldn’t it be better if I just go there and see everything myself?"
"Yes! That’s for the best!" Jan Keke concurred. "Darling, we are here to bring you home!"
"Unfortunately, I can’t," Sisi replied calmly.
"Wha!"
"Ah!?"
"W-why?"
"Didn’t I tell you just now? I have to take care of Jojo," Sisi said. "That boy and I have a tight bond. We are basically mother and son. Unless he can come with me, then I’m not going."
"But... faerie land is only for faeries. Nobody can enter because the entrance has a magic barrier..." Crush Tutu said. "At best, he can only wait outside..."
"Well, that’s very unsafe, isn’t it?" Sisi smiled thinly. "I’m sorry, faeries. But I cannot leave with you now. I have to take care of him."
The trio of faeries were disappointed. They had gone through a long journey just to find their darling, so when their darling refused to leave with them, the faeries suddenly lost their purpose.
"But, darling, you are supposed to be our queen. If you’re not there, then who will lead us?" Bold Dodo asked.
"But I’ve never been to faerie land, and you guys seem to be doing well," Sisi mentioned.
"We—we really need you there! My Grandpa is the temporary leader, and he’s very tired because the faeries are not listening to his orders!" Crush Tutu raised her voice out of frustration. She had defied her grandpa’s order to find their darling in hopes of bringing her home, so her grandpa could finally spend his old days in peace. "Darling, my grandpa is very old. He needs a good rest, and you are the only one who can replace him..."
Sisi watched the faeries, who looked serious about that statement. Since they were not able to lie, their words must carry some weight.
Honestly, Sisi sympathized thinking about how these small faeries went on a long and dangerous journey just to find her. But she had to make a choice.
"Is there any way to summon other faeries here?" Sisi asked. "I want to talk to the elders."
"I—I don’t know the details, darling. But you can tell Grandma Tree about it, and she will inform the elders in the faerie land," Crush Tutu said as she wiped her tears. "Darling Sisi, please don’t leave us like this. We really need you..."
"I will have to talk to the elders first before deciding," Sisi said. "I’ve been trying to meet Grandma Tree in my dreams, but it’s been unsuccessful so far."
"But all faeries can see Grandma Tree in our dreams. Though, it’s only you who can speak to it," Jan Keke said. "All you have to do is sleep while thinking of a warm home, darling!"
"A warm... home?" Sisi frowned.
She recalled all the dreams she had with Grandma Tree and remembered that she was always in a difficult situation before losing consciousness. 𝘧𝓇ℯ𝑒𝓌𝑒𝑏𝓃𝘰𝘷𝘦𝘭.𝒸ℴ𝓂
She was attacked by a bear, survived a harsh one-sided fight against Kael, overused her power to help Kael control himself.
She always thought about Jojo whenever she fainted, worrying about his well-being and safety, because she couldn’t protect him when she was unconscious.
’So, does that mean I’ve been thinking about my "warm home," which is Jojo?’ Sisi asked herself. She stared at the faeries and nodded. ’Well, there’s only one way to prove it tonight.’
"Then, I’ll try to talk with Grandma Tree tonight. I’ll ask her to bring an elder representative from the faerie land and inform them that there are three brave faeries who finally found me," Sisi said as consolation for their long search.
The trio of faeries found hope in their darling’s words, and they were even happier since their darling would put in good words for them to the elders.
So they wouldn’t be punished for sneaking out of faerie land!
"Thank you, darling!"
"Darling is so kind!"
"But darling, I’m curious about that boy," Crush Tutu said as she flew a bit higher to see the little wolf boy with unique shimmering silver hair and a pair of golden eyes. "He is not a regular beastman, is he?"
"He’s very special, yes," Sisi confirmed with a thin smile as she stared at Jojo. She didn’t want to tell these faeries about Jojo’s curse, as she didn’t know how well they would take it.
She only wanted to ask Grandma Tree about a cure for Jojo’s blindness.
"But he has been inflicted with an illness or something that makes him blind," Sisi said. "I want to find a way to cure him. He’s still very young. He needs to see the world and everything it has to offer. Don’t you think it’s unfair that he cannot see the three of you when he has been a good boy all this time?"
