Mommy Wolf: Raise A Cub, Claimed By His Beast Daddy-Chapter 216: By Mommy and Daddy’s Side (II)
"Um..." Jan Keke was trying to find the right word for it, then she yelled, "Cute!"
"Just cute?" General Gugu frowned. "How could a cursed being be cute anyway?"
Healer Roro gave him a look that silently told him to zip his mouth. These trio faeries were young, and General Gugu often scared them with his mere presence.
"He also likes to giggle and loves to cling to our darling. Elders, the Dawn Star is adorable!" Bold Dodo added.
Crush Tutu decided to make the answer more convincing for the elders. "Elders, the boy is currently blind, but the fact that Jojo can hear us faeries means that he has a pure heart just like a regular kid, right? We all know that except for our darling, no adult can see or hear us. Even a kid who reaches the age of five or six wouldn’t be able to sense us anymore because they are developing desires."
Crush Tutu’s answer knocked some sense into the elders’ heads. Indeed, they had been looking at this from the perspective of two cursed beings, not as a kid who could actually see them.
But even if they were helping a kid right now, was it really morally correct to help a young monster who would eventually turn into a big threat once he got older?
Wouldn’t it be better to keep him blind until his death so he couldn’t sow destruction in Roc Forest?
The faerie elders were in a dilemma, but Crush Tutu remembered how her grandpa struggled to maintain order in the faerie land, and how he wished their darling could return soon because commanding those naughty faeries wore him down every day.
So Crush Tutu insisted, "Elders, Grandma Tree wants to see its granddaughter. We cannot ignore the request coming from it."
...
"Alright, you three. General Gugu and I will discuss this problem. Go find a flower to sleep in now, alright?"
The trio faeries looked at each other, and since they had already done everything they could, they decided to call it a day and found a flower each to rest in, hoping that by dawn the elders would agree to help Jojo.

Dawn came in a flash. Kael wished that he could sleep a bit longer so he could indulge in this moment of peace with Sisi and Jojo.
But he never needed sleep after accepting the curse, so he got up right at dawn and saw his beloved ones still asleep while hugging each other.
Kael knew that Jojo had imprinted on Sisi the moment they reunited. But he had been in denial, thinking that Sisi was a witch who tried to fool his son.
Now that he realized how much Sisi loved Jojo, he couldn’t ask for anything better. They were truly a perfect pair of mother and son.
Unfortunately, this picture-perfect pair would be separated soon, all because Sisi insisted that Jojo needed to see the world.
Kael still felt that Sisi was making a foolish mistake, but he also admitted that her love for Jojo was truly the selfless act of a mother.
It reminded Kael of his own late mother, who insisted on protecting and raising him instead of killing him when he was just a newborn.
She was alienated, bullied, and forced to hunt by herself despite being very weak after a very difficult labor.
Kael was still around Jojo’s age at that time, but he knew very well the struggle that his mother went through until her untimely death.
’Maybe all mothers are like that. They don’t mind having to suffer as long as their babies are safe,’ Kael thought. ’But my father left her after she gave birth to a cursed being. So she didn’t need to think about her spouse. But what about me? I... I want Sisi to stay by my side too.’
Kael didn’t want to sound selfish, but his heart still roared for him to do something to keep Sisi around, even at the cost of his son’s vision.
Unfortunately, Kael didn’t have much time to ponder, because Sisi slowly opened her eyes and stared at him in a daze.
Kael smiled at her. "Good morning, beauty."
Sisi smiled thinly, but it didn’t look as natural and tender as last night. Perhaps she really let herself go last night because she thought that was her last chance, but seeing her unnatural smile hurt Kael even more.
"Good morning, Kael," she greeted back.
"Mmm... uhh..." Jojo stretched his limbs as he grunted a few more times before opening his eyes slowly. The golden eyes were really conspicuous and also a sign that he was still blind.
But he turned to the right and hugged Sisi. "Good morning, Sisi!"
"Good morning, Jojo. How come you know I’m on your right?"
"Because I know your smell!" Jojo said. But then he sniffed around and asked, "But why is Daddy’s smell so strong in here? Did he just leave the room?"
"What are you talking about? I’ve been sleeping here the whole night, Jojo," Kael said.
"Wah!" Jojo turned to the left and touched his father’s face rather crudely. "Daddy, why are you here? Sisi will be mad if you sleep on the bed with us!"
"Don’t worry, it’s me who invited him," Sisi said. "I’m sure that you want to have us by your side, right?"
"Uwaaah! Am I dreaming? Oh wait, but I could see in my dream, so this is not a dream!" Jojo said happily as he hugged his father. "Daddy, stay with us every night, okay? I’ve always wanted to sleep with you and Sisi together! It feels very warm!"
"Well, that depends on her, Jojo," Kael said. "If Sisi wants me to sleep here every night, then I’d be more than willing to do it."
"Sisi, can you allow Daddy to be here every night?" Jojo pleaded. "I promise not to nag you when I’m bored, as long as we can sleep together!"
Sisi felt a heartache as she knew such a beautiful thing wouldn’t last long. But she still agreed to it. "Alright, he can stay, as long as he doesn’t snore at night."
"Yayyy! Remember that, Daddy! Promise me that you won’t snore!"
"Pinky promise, no snoring," Kael said as he ruffled his son’s hair.
