In the headquarters of the Third Division situated near the outskirts of the Southern Frontier, a gorgeous white-haired lady attracted the attention of everyone nearby.

Strands of her silver-pale hair danced with the desolate breeze as her pearl-like eyes peered into the blurred horizon.

Beside her was a beautiful lady whose hair was pitch-black. Her sapphire-stained irises gleamed behind her golden-tinted glasses as she reported news from the Federation.

"Miss Alastair, the President has died from a heart attack. He has been replaced by the former Vice President."

While doing so, she stepped forward and whispered something else into the ears of the Seventh Paragon, whose supple lips curved into an arrogant smile.

"I see... Quite a disheartening news for our President to die in such circumstances during the upcoming conflict against the Clan. I hope that the situation won't worsen."

Alastair muttered her greivance despite a smile thickening on her face. The destruction of the infiltrators won't end with their execution.

There was no way she would have humanity hail them as heroes.

Gradually, Block 7 would release information about the experimentations from countless federal facilities scattered throughout the West Coast.

On the other hand, the Jaegers of the Third Division were astounded to hear that the President of their country died from a heart attack. To think that their first leader would leave the New World in such a way.

"Was he even diagnosed with a heart condition of some sort?" One of them questioned, confused by the death.

"I don't know... In all honesty, heart attacks can come out of nowhere."

"It doesn't matter if you are the healthiest human in the New World. Sometimes... You might just be unlucky and roll the dice of death." A nearby Jaeger responded.

The questioning Jaeger nodded in understanding since dying of natural causes wasn't abnormal. It was strange. After all, the First President dying in such a way was anticlimactic.

No assassination, no final speech. In the New World, where anything can happen, it does appear dull in the eyes of others.

At any rate, the Forward-Operating Base on the Frontlines has long concluded its construction. The strongest Jaegers belonging to the Third Division were prepared to defend that line.

As the gatekeepers and guards of the Federation, it was normal for them to greet whatever besieges the upper half of the New World firsthand.

Usually, when casualties rose beyond a certain point. The Third Paragon would order a tactical withdrawal and prepare for another counteroffensive.

Unfortunately, the Third Paragon was gone from the southern frontier, his fate unconfirmed by anyone. Even the Clan had no idea about where that guy got thrown into.

Since their Third Paragon was gone, presumed dead, the elite Jaegers of the Third Division might not plan on withdrawing and intended to take as much as they could with them in the underworld.

It was a high possibility.

But this was for when the battle between the Federation and the Clan officially began. There were a few days left before the mobilized armies of the Vampires reached the Frontlines.

Until then, humanity could only prepare.

A couple of hours later...

In the distant highway leading to the headquarters of the Third Division, a black SUV drove through the desolate wasteland, speeding across the empty road.

Hecate tapped her fingers as their destination surfaced from the blurred horizon. His crimson lips curved into a subtle smile as she remarked.

"Took us longer than expected."

Lounging in the backseats was Damien, who glanced at the growing structure in the distance. To think that it wouldn't take over a week for him to return to the southern frontier.

It seems that the place was fated for him.

The two promptly arrived at the expansive parking space of the Third Division, crowded with trucks and cargo containers. After Hecate parked their vehicle, the two stepped out and felt the whistling breeze.

"Now that I think about it... I have spent quite some time in the Third Division." Hecate muttered to herself, which made Damien curious.

But he realized that his partner was discovered in the southern frontier when she was escaping from the clutches of the Clan.

It was understandable for her to spend time with the Third Division. After all, Alastair would have probably dealt with making her identity official.

"The place is much emptier than before." She turned her attention to the structure while Damien stood beside her and remarked. "Most of their Jaegers are probably in the Forward-Operating Base."

"Forward operating what?" Hecate tilted her head, utterly confused. Her partner sighed to himself and explained. "They are on the frontlines."

"Oh, I see... Now that makes sense." She nodded to herself while stretching her arms upward.

The two walked towards the entrance of the headquarters, attracting the attention of nearby logistics personnel. Amongst the divisions of SIGIL, it was the Seventh Division that responded the fastest.

As they entered the reception hall, they saw Francine walking towards the elevator. Without any hesitation or delay, Hecate waved her hands and called out. "Francine!"

The gorgeous dark-haired lady turned her sapphire-like eyes towards the two, her golden-tinted eyeglasses grasping in an embrace.

"Damien, Hecate... Did you drive through multiple states to reach the southern frontier? Even Echidna and Hawk got here a few hours ago."

Amongst the Block 7 members, Echidna and Hawk were the nearest as they surveilled the capital fortress city of Denver. They were the ones who confirmed the death of the President.

Because of their low presence in the Seventh Division, they didn't attract any attention and merely watched from a distance.

Even the Federation and Block 1 were not aware of them.

In any case, the trio greeted one another and entered the elevator simultaneously. After a short momentary silence, Francine's ample lips opened.

"Isn't it unfortunate that the President died?"

"Truly unfortunate..."

Damien shook his head, ushering an emotion of disappointment. It was as if he were actually saddened by the death of their nation's leader.

When they reached the top floor of the headquarters, the elevator's metallic doors slid open. Beyond it was none other than their boss, the Seventh Paragon, Alastair Glass.

"Damien, Hecate... I was wondering when the two of you would reach us."

An arrogant smile was plastered across her face as she continued. "The President has unfortunately died from a heart attack. While we would love to mourn for his death, the defense of the southern frontier is crucial."

While in the eyes of others, her words were heartfelt for the unexpected death of the President. To the members of Block 7, it was filled with venom.

There was no doubt that their boss disliked the President.

"I agree... The Third Division must have already completed its preparations. The only thing we need to do is reinforce them."

Damien nodded and stepped forward, but a logistic personnel member shook their head. "Sadly, reinforcing the frontlines is bound to be troublesome."

Hearing their words, the black-suited young man raised his eyebrows. "What do you mean by that? Is the frontlines already compromised?"

"No... The frontlines are still going strong. Instead, the rear logistic line is in shambles. Hounds of the Clan are attacking our trucks." The logistic personnel explained and added.

"Even when defended by squads of Jaegers, the vampires keep destroying our supplies." No wonder there were several trucks parked outside the headquarters.

When fighting in a war, whether it's offensive or defensive. Logistics was a vital point that could decide its outcome alongside morale.

For victory, these hounds must be eliminated. With this thought process, Damien opened his status and wondered what monster he should summon for them.
