Since Heaven's Fall, the world had undergone a significant transformation. When those black towers descended from the skies, humanity was fractured into pieces.

Chaos brought about the collapse of civilization.

But all wasn't lost during the first year of the new era.

Under the leadership of immortal beings, a new empire was built upon the ashes of old, fallen countries. It was a nation that spanned two continents, formerly known as North and South America.

The empire's name was the New World.

However, the dominance of the immortal species wasn't long-lasting. A few years after the empire was established, a rebellion occurred.

It was a revolution led by the strongest metahumans. The leader of the rising rebellion was aptly known as the White Devil, Alastair Glass.

She was capable of rivalling the progenitor of the vampires and divided the New World into upper and lower halves. The Federation governed the north while the Clan ruled over the south.

Since then, the progenitor and the strongest of humanity had maintained a balance. A silent agreement for peace and the exclusion of the New World from the vast world beyond the two oceans.

But it all changed when the White Devil was sealed, while the progenitor promptly fell. The supposed guardians of the New World were gone.

To those outside, it was a land unprotected by anyone or anything.

A realm that was free for the taking. Something one could shape to one's will without the repercussions of the broader world.

Beyond the Atlantic Ocean was the archipelago of Europa. The remnants of a devastated continent whose humanity became extinct. In the present, it was filled with aetheric beasts and Aberrants.

It was a vast archipelago ruled by nature. Untouched by anyone but time.

In the center of the archipelago was a whirlpool that encompassed hundreds of kilometers. It resembled a breach in the world, where the abyss lay.

But below... It wasn't a natural phenomenon.

Under the sea was a gargantuan aberration that spanned thousands of kilometers. It resembled an infamous mythical creature, a Kraken.

"The little ones from that patch of untouch land have eliminated themselves. I expected them to last over a century."

"It appears that I overestimated their rationality."

The whole sea vibrated as an unknown yet understandable language reverberated to the heavens and the earth. It rang throughout the world, only halting by the shores of the New World.

"Now that those two are gone... Greedy ones will storm that tiny patch of land. It would be unfortunate to not take it for myself."

"Perhaps, I should sink it in the same manner as I did to that continent before." Its name was Typhon, the Aberrant of the Sea.

The physical body that descended upon the world was merely its vessel. Typhon already ascended beyond the shackles of the material realm.

The same could be said of those who could rival it.

Hyperion, the Aberrant of the Heaven.

Terra, the Aberrant of the Earth.

And, finally...

Akashic, the Aberrant of the Revelation.

In the dark continent below the archipelago of Europa, it was a land permeated by devastation. Craters filled every corner while unnatural canyons stretched into the expanse.

Humanity outside of the New World didn't perish in mere moments after Heaven's Fall. They resisted against the tide of aetheric beasts and aberrants, fighting until the very end.

Frontlines collapsed, one after another. It didn't take long for humanity to be pushed back to the dark continent. Humankind fought until the very last breath.

Craters and devastation carved into the very earth were their symbol of resistance against the changing world.

Beneath the dark continent was the Hollow Earth, a vast cave system with atmospheric-like conditions. Vegetations filled the interior while crystals gleamed from the ceiling, resembling daylight.

In the center of the Hollow Earth was a towering mountain that spanned through the entirety of the cave system and into the dark continent.

It was the last mountain of the landmass stretching to over a dozen kilometers above sea level. But it wasn't natural or created by the resistance of humanity.

Instead, the looming mountain was horror itself. The incarnate of the world, the Aberrant of the Earth. Its emergence brought the end of humanity's flickering flames.

Terra was the reason why humankind went extinct outside of the New World. It brought damnation to everything outside of its authority.

"I should have expected no less from insects." A hum escaped the Hollow Earth, echoing from every corner. It was a declaration.

"Removing themselves from the equation... Foolishness." The world shook for a moment as deep cracks surfaced in the dark continent. Even the mere words of Terra were enough to cause disaster.

"It must be time. This must be the will of the world."

"Humanity's extinction is inevitable."

Hordes of aetheric beasts within the cave system roared, their cries echoing throughout the interior of the underground world. These were servants of Terra.

Representing the warriors of the world, extinguishers of the bane that dared to conquer earth for themselves. These beasts were ready for what was about to come.

War.

"I shall emerge from this iron coffin and complete what was supposed to be."

Once again, the earth shook like the turbulent oceans. The Hollow Earth felt its pillars collapse as a gargantuan horror gouged itself from the center of the continent.

The balance of power was broken. 𝕗𝐫𝚎𝗲𝘄𝐞𝕓𝐧𝕠𝘃𝕖𝐥.𝐜𝚘𝚖

Major players outside the New World were planning to besiege it. Whether for its resources, influence, or its utter purpose alone.

Peace was about to be broken.

Following above and below Terra were aetheric beasts that numbered in millions. Such creatures were capable of threatening cities alone in dozens.

The intentions of the two Aberrants were clear. Yet even amongst them, there was one who stood neutrally. It was none other than the Aberrant of the Revelation, Akashic.

It was an Aberrant who didn't affect the material world, merely standing as an observer in the background.

"That young Aberrant is rising to become a being capable of dominating the strongest of Aberrants... I'm curious to see what his future would be." It was a single mechanical eye floating in the void.

Meanwhile...

Damien evolved all of his monsters and transformed them into Five-Stars. It took quite a while, but it wasn't much longer than before. Before he could open his status display, however.

He felt pain aching throughout his body. Just when he thought that it was impossible for his body to feel pain. The Monster Gacha System struck him without warning.

It wasn't even the usual physical pain. It was metaphysical, directly targeting his existence. The transformation brought about by several Five-Star Monsters was much stronger than he expected.

Hours passed, and he remained unconscious in his room. His body was further refined, becoming slimmer and more condensed. He still loomed over humans, but he wasn't as hulking as before.

After taking his time, Damien opened his status display. Its bluish hue reflected from his handsome face as his sable-tinted gaze narrowed. The information on the digital screen was much more complex than he expected.
