I returned to the mansion flying.

When I landed on the floor and kept Fireball and Irving on the ground, I sensed Beta Damien’s presence, making me turn around immediately.

The instant I saw him just a few steps away from me, I asked him, "You followed me?".

"I had to, Alpha Anastasia. It’s my duty to stand by your side, especially during times like this". He replied to me with a serious look on his face. He must be trying to show me that he was not ready to back down.

’He is back to being stubborn and mysterious’. I thought.

’If you think about it, he’s just like you’. Elektra said to me.

’What do you mean by that?’. My eyebrows furrowed as I asked her through a mind link.

’You are stubborn and mysterious too, Clara. Most times, I don’t understand you’. Elektra replied to me.

I wanted to ruffle my hair, but my crown almost fell off my head. I had forgotten that there was a crown on my head.

Weird. A few months ago, when I was still Clara Hensley, who would have ever thought that I would wear a crown on my head, and it would be normal?

"The werewolves need you to train them. There’s no time or excuse for slacking off". I tried to reason with him.

"The Gamma is on his way right now. He will help them train today and some other times if I am not available. From today on, I will assist you and try to always stand by your side".

"Wait, what? The Gamma left the border and is coming here?". My voice was loud as I asked him. After he nodded at me, I added, "Why would he leave the border? What if those abominations attack again? Who would lead the warriors in battle?".

"Elder Penelope, who had arrived at the border, permitted him to leave the border after learning about the werewolves who had come to become warriors. Beta Damien and I weren’t standing that far from the gates.

We had to look in the direction of the gates as the guards opened the gates.

After they opened the gates, I saw four werewolves run in before stopping and growling and howling. They were in their wolf’s forms, and they were huge, but two of them were obviously bigger.

Their presences were familiar to me, so I recognized them and the other two werewolves who came with them.

Alpha Mike, the alpha of the night pack. And Alpha Jerry, the alpha of the blue moon pack. And beside them were their Betas. Beta Samuel and Beta Sean.

Beta Samuel is Alpha Mike’s Beta. While Beta Sean is Alpha Jerry’s Beta.

During the past weeks, I have been learning about other werewolf packs.

It turned out that I did not know that much about werewolves after all.

They shifted into their human forms and began to walk towards me and Beta Damien.

Beta Damien wasn’t standing in front of me anymore. Instead, he stood by my side.

"Long time no see, my fellow Alpha". Alpha Mike said to me and was grinning.

Both his hands were put inside his trousers’ pockets. "You see, I agreed to come, only because I was curious about something. I have seen and heard countless rumors about you being great, skilled in medicine and so on, including surpassing your own wolf".

"Two months have passed, and I still refuse to believe that you killed those wild beasts on your own. My pack was attacked by the wild beasts and the newly discovered hybrid beasts. Those things took down many of my warriors, so I refuse to believe that, during the competition, you killed those many wild predators on your own!".

"I came to confirm if all that is lies. After confirming that, we can talk!". He declared.

’Tsk. He’s so childish, Clara. I understand why. Out of the ten Alphas and you, he is the third-youngest werewolf. It is no wonder he is behaving like a brat’. Elektra scoffed and said.

I couldn’t reply to Elektra, because Alpha Mike attacked me.

It happened very suddenly, but I was able to dodge his attacks.

Beta Damien was fast. His fist was only an inch away from punching Alpha Mike’s face, but I said to him, "Stop, beta Damien. Alpha Mike simply wants to test me. Since it has come to that, stand down. I accept his challenge".

Fireball and Irving emanated a strong aura, but I looked at them and said to them without voicing it out, "Stop".

Everyone was reluctant, but they later stood aside.

Actually, if I hadn’t gotten stronger, I would have gotten mad after Alpha Mike dared to attack me.

A smirk formed on my lips and my eyes darkened as I looked at Alpha Mike and told him, "I truly hope that you don’t break your leg".

Although my voice was low, it was deep and threatening.

Alpha Mike simply scoffed at me. He must think that I was bluffing.

"Anastasia, I will defeat you in less than a minute and show everyone that everything about you is a damn cooked-up lie!". Alpha Mike declared, and the smirk on my face widened as he attacked me again. fɾēewebnσveℓ.com

’It’s on’. I thought and felt a burning and cold sensation within my heart.

I grabbed my gold crown and tossed it on the floor without a care in the world.

I will make sure to beat the heck out of him, so that he will surely learn how to control his running mouth!
