Mr. Grant Treats Me Like a Treasure-Chapter 483 - 482: This Is the Imperial Capital
She felt her whole body stiffen, and recalling the words the nurse said by her ear when she first woke up, she said, "Have I been in a coma for a long time?"
Had she been in a vegetative state for a long time!
A year, or ten years!
What about Ethan Grant?
Too many questions leaped into Serena Sullivan’s mind, and she was even more unsure of where she was, or who the old man in front of her was.
"Thank goodness, thank goodness."
The old man said with a smile, "Three months."
He really feared that this child would sleep for five or ten years!
Luckily, as rumored, the character of the person with the last name Mo wasn’t great, but his medical skills were outstanding.
"Three months."
This time even left Serena herself stunned. She exerted strength, slowly raising her hand to rest it on her head.
"They performed surgery on you when you were brought over." The old man said again, smiling.
He had rescued her from the sea, seeing her barely clinging to life and slipping into a coma, which frightened him terribly.
"Wasn’t the success rate of the surgery only three percent?"
Serena asked again.
"The guy named Mo is amazing."
The old man continued, someone so skilled, the equipment must not be returned until Serena’s leg was healed.
"Oh!"
Serena looked at her savior, with many more questions in her heart.
The old man noticed her thoughts, stood up, and said with a smile, "I know you have a lot to ask, but you just woke up and your body is still very weak."
"Rest well for now, I won’t harm you."
After saying that, the old man turned to leave, leaning on his cane.
"Is this still Solaria?"
Serena watched the old man’s back and asked one last question.
The old man paused and replied, "Imperial Capital."
Imperial Capital!
Serena watched the door close, mumbling those two words.
She was actually in the Imperial Capital!
She remembered being on the private island of The Sterling Family when something happened and could still remember the hatred in the eyes of that woman as she kicked her into the sea.
She hadn’t died! What a stroke of luck!
Serena lay on the bed, unable to get down, she could only wait for the nurse to come in.
The blood clot in her brain was gone, but her leg was still crippled.
The door opened, and she saw the pretty nurse walk to the bedside, "I’d like a drink of water."
The nurse glanced at Serena, with a stoic expression, poured the water for Serena and brought it over.
"Can you raise the bed for me?"
Hospital beds can be adjusted automatically, Serena hadn’t seen a remote control, and she couldn’t drink water while lying flat.
The nurse glared at Serena once more and adjusted the bed.
Serena drank the warm water, turning her head to look at the sunlight streaming in through the window. After three months of sleep, she couldn’t sleep anymore; she smelled the flowers in the wind and wanted to go out and see.
"I want to go out and see."
Serena once again made a request to the nurse.
The nurse, who was about to leave, heard Serena’s words, dropped her expression, threw the folder in her hand onto the bed, and said unpleasantly, "You are not well, why go out? Just lie down on the bed and rest."
Serena didn’t answer, she just looked at the nurse.
The nurse, about the same age as Serena, with a pretty face, had eyes filled with anger.
Serena recalled that while in a coma, she had been squeezed hard by someone. She was sure it wasn’t a dream.
"I want to go out for a walk."
Serena lowered her voice, speaking more firmly.
Nurse Leah felt uneasy under Serena’s gaze. Could it be that she knew about the pinching and hitting she received while she was unconscious and crippled?
Thinking about it, she felt guilty.
Anyone could see that the old man valued this woman very much, otherwise, why would he bring her to his private estate.
