Mr. Grant Treats Me Like a Treasure-Chapter 482 - 481: The Crafty Old Man
Serena Sullivan kept looking at him, wanting to ask why he had aged so quickly!
"Mr. Mo, what’s wrong with her? Has there been a problem with her throat?"
"I say, your medical skills are so poor! A perfectly good person, turned into a mute by your treatment!"
Seeing Serena Sullivan staring at him blankly without uttering a word, the old man got anxious and turned around to angrily rebuke the man behind him.
The man leaning against the wall was playing a game on his phone and ignored the old man’s words.
"I’m talking to you, did you hear me!"
The old man had a bad temper, feeling very agitated seeing Serena this way. Seeing the man occupied with his game and not responding, he picked up the cup from the bedside table and threw it over.
With a "smack," the man was startled and his hand trembled, causing "game over" to appear on the screen. Angrily, he quickly stuffed the phone in his pocket and walked to the bed, displeased.
"Once the person is awake, they won’t die."
"She was already a half-dead cripple; I brought her back, and you say my medical skills are bad."
"I say old man, do you still want me to treat her leg or not!"
Upon hearing this, the old man got angry and hit the man’s leg with the cane in his hand, "Those few pieces of equipment, do you want them or not!"
The man grunted, hating to be threatened. But this old man was cunning, selling the medical equipment he needed first, forcing the esteemed Dr. Mo to comply and be brought over to snatch the person from King Yama.
He leaned by the bed and took out equipment to examine Serena Sullivan’s body, moving the stethoscope back and forth across her chest, which made the old man swing his cane again.
"Listening is enough, what are you touching!"
Dr. Mo was speechless, "Do you want me to check or not!"
The stethoscope checks if the heartbeat is normal, naturally placed on the chest, besides he had no interest in someone who had just woken from being a vegetable.
Skinny as a twig, ridiculously ugly!
The old man was put in his place by Dr. Mo, realizing he was overreacting, he fell silent.
He looked at Serena Sullivan staring at himself and Dr. Mo, smiled and said, "Do you feel uncomfortable anywhere?"
"Not being able to speak is fine, you can point with your fingers."
Seeing Serena still motionless, the old man got a bit worried, fearing she may have been treated into a fool by Mr. Mo!
The old man was worried and was about to call Dr. Mo an incompetent doctor when Serena Sullivan slowly spoke, "You’re not him!"
Her sudden remark left both Dr. Mo and the old man confused. But the old man didn’t care what Serena really meant, as long as she hadn’t turned mute or into a fool.
"On the surface, nothing is wrong with the indicators."
Finished with his examination, Dr. Mo straightened up and said, "But to know how well you recover, deeper tests are needed."
"Okay, as long as there’s no problem."
The old man said happily, "Reward, reward!"
"I’ll transfer the money to your account later."
Dr. Mo glanced at the generous old man, replied indifferently, "Just hand over the equipment."
The old man looked at the bed and smiled at the scrutinizing Serena Sullivan. The person had just woken up, and he didn’t know the condition of her body, so he wasn’t foolish enough to return the equipment.
Mr. Mo had quite an ego, wouldn’t even give him face, if he hadn’t snatched the medical equipment the old man needed, how could he make Dr. Mo obediently come to treat the patient.
After Dr. Mo and the nurses left, the old man remained sitting by the bed, looking at Serena Sullivan.
"If you’re tired, just rest."
Serena Sullivan looked up at the snow-white ceiling and slowly asked, "How long did I sleep?"
