Mr. Sterling, Mrs. Sterling is Multifaceted!-Chapter 234: 200 Apartments
The sales lady felt a storm raging inside her heart. It’s not that she looked down on this young girl, but even those tycoons wouldn’t purchase property with such extravagance.
She tried to put on a polite smile, "Miss, please wait a moment, the order is too large. I need to consult my manager."
"Alright." Seraphina Redgrave wasn’t in a hurry.
As soon as the sales lady turned around, the smile on her face vanished, and she was so shocked that she could hardly walk straight.
Seraphina Redgrave sat by the window, picked up her coffee, and took a gentle sip.
Not very authentic.
She chuckled lightly. She had really been spoiled by Ethan Sterling; this coffee was already considered high-quality, yet she still found it lacking.
After waiting for a while, Seraphina Redgrave took out her phone to browse today’s news.
Suddenly, the showroom door was pushed open, and two wealthy middle-aged women walked in.
The rich fragrance of high-end perfume wafted in with the breeze; the two women carried several luxury shopping bags, clearly just returning from a successful shopping spree.
Another sales lady went over to greet the customers, and the two women, strutting arrogantly behind her, asked, "Do you have any ready-to-move-in homes here?"
Once seated, the woman speaking earlier toyed with a diamond ring the size of a pigeon egg on her finger and said, "We’re back from abroad and want to buy a ready-to-move-in home quickly; the price doesn’t matter."
Upon hearing this, the sales lady said a bit worriedly, "Ma’am, I’m truly sorry, but the Sterling Group under which our properties fall never has ready-to-move-in homes." 𝙛𝒓𝓮𝒆𝔀𝒆𝙗𝓷𝒐𝙫𝒆𝙡.𝒄𝓸𝓶
Not to mention ready-to-move-in homes, even pre-sold properties sell out quickly.
"What!" The woman slammed the tea table loudly, shouting, "What do you mean by that? Do you think I don’t understand this business? Usually, there are ready-to-move-in homes reserved for those with connections, but I said already, name your price freely; don’t you understand?"
Her voice was so loud that many people in the lobby turned to see what was happening.
The sales lady’s smile couldn’t be maintained, attempting to explain further only to be rudely interrupted by them.
"We don’t negotiate with someone like you. Call out your manager to speak with us personally!"
Their noses were practically in the air, incredibly arrogant, treating the sales lady as if she were invisible.
The commotion slightly irritated Seraphina Redgrave. She turned her head and saw the two heavily made-up women, but they were too far to make out their features clearly.
But for some unknown reason, they seemed oddly familiar. Seraphina didn’t pay them much heed.
Having no other option, the sales lady had to unwillingly go to find the manager to discuss things further.
"Tch, just a simple sales lady, what right does she have to negotiate with us? Luckily, she had the sense to find the manager; I refuse to believe that we can’t buy a ready-to-move-in home with money."
One of them sneered.
The other wealthy lady took a small sip of coffee, responding, "Exactly, I see that..." Her words trailed off as she looked towards a corner, a bit puzzled. After coming to her senses, she tugged on the other lady’s sleeve.
She seemed confused, "What’s the matter?"
"Look, doesn’t that woman look a lot like..."
...
On the floor above the lobby, there was a luxurious VIP suite. The European-style décor strongly emphasized the guests’ distinguished status.
The wisps of white smoke rising from the tea gave the woman sitting there an almost surreal feeling; it was Selena Quinn.
She sat on the sofa, solemnly signing her name on a contract, then handed it to the staff member, instructing, "Please help sell this property as soon as possible."
After saying this, her expression had turned quite unpleasant.
Since the day Seraphina Redgrave fired a shot at Ryan Sterling’s hand, Ethan Sterling had ruthlessly placed her parents under house arrest at Sterling’s mansion and didn’t provide them with living expenses.
Ryan Sterling’s life was always high-end and luxurious, often purchasing precious collectibles and cellared wines.
He would always order Selena Quinn to buy them, but where would she get so much money? When she ran out of money, Ryan Sterling asked her to sell her house for cash.
The properties she held were already few; if she sold more, her family would only have Ethan Sterling’s personal wealth left.
"Yes, Third Miss."
The manager was very respectful, carefully reviewing the contract again, and then left, pausing briefly to glance in confusion at the girl kneeling by the sofa before departing without more questions.
The VIP suite’s door slowly closed, and the girl couldn’t wait to speak up.
"Selena, please, help me. After Sovereign University dismissed me, no other schools are willing to accept me."
The speaker was Serena Lowell, previously expelled from Sovereign University; now, the arrogance from before was gone, replaced by humility as she clung to Selena Quinn’s skirt.
If she hadn’t run out of options, she wouldn’t have begged Selena Quinn like this.
After she fought her way into Sovereign University, her family was proud of her, and she was considered an accomplished student.
And now? She was worse off than a stray dog on the street.
After much thought, she decided to ask Selena Quinn, whom she perceived as the kindest person. She believed that Selena was so kind-hearted that she’d surely help her.
But, she couldn’t get in touch with Selena Quinn before; luckily, she managed to chase her down this time.
Selena Quinn’s face was as pale as snow. She gave a soft cough and sipped her tea, suppressing the intense irritation inside her.
To her, Serena Lowell was already a dispensable entity; a useless pawn - what purpose did keeping it serve?
Previously, when someone tried to contact her, she had blocked them off, but today Serena had caught her at the right moment.
Selena set down her cup, glanced at her, and gently said, "Why kneel like that? It’s not good for others to see; sit down."
"No! Selena, I beg you, please help me. If you do, I’m willing to do anything for you! I swear!"
Previously, she worked for Mia Redgrave and Selena Quinn and, under their influence, had long considered herself upper-class. But now, all of that was reduced to nothing overnight. How could she accept that?
"Sigh, Serena, I’ll be frank, it’s not that I won’t help, but I can’t help.
Selena Quinn’s tone was full of regret, "Our Elite Society has been severely suppressed by The Defiance Society. Even I don’t have any influence at the university anymore."
"Sylvia Shaw?"
Mentioning the name, Serena Lowell collapsed to the floor, her nails digging into her palms, "Why must that woman linger endlessly!"
Indeed, why did she linger endlessly?
Selena Quinn felt bitter inside.
"Cough! Cough, cough!"
Selena Quinn’s throat itched; she hurriedly picked up the teacup and drank a couple of sips to soothe the itchiness.
The finest red tea tasted dull in her mouth, even slightly bitter.
Her health was already poor, and taking an arrow for Ethan Sterling nearly cost her half her life, yet she received no gratitude.
At this point, she couldn’t approach Ethan Sterling nor dare to scheme against Seraphina Redgrave; she could do nothing.
She was out of options.
Haha.
