Mr. Warner, Your Wife is Running Away Again!-Chapter 705: So Disgusting
Norman Sutton knew that with Laura Yates’s influence, Lana Holloway would definitely feel embarrassed to refuse.
Seeing Lana Holloway hesitate, she asked, "What day next week?"
Norman Sutton: "Thursday."
Lana Holloway: "I can’t go on Thursday. I’ve already taken leave from my master. She knows I’m leaving on Wednesday."
"You’re leaving?" Norman Sutton frowned. "Where to?"
Lana Holloway: "To see my boyfriend."
Upon hearing this, Norman Sutton’s face looked even worse than if he had swallowed a fly. He sneered lightly: "Boyfriend? He’s probably abroad flirting with foreign girls."
Lana Holloway: "Do you think he’s like you?"
A wave of anger surged from his heart, and Norman Sutton threw down the cloth in his hand, telling Lana Holloway, "Don’t come! I’ll tell my mom not to invite you to our house for dinner again!"
Watching Norman Sutton storm off angrily, Lana Holloway looked at his departing figure with bewilderment and continued her work, not bothering to argue with him.
A couple of minutes later, Norman Sutton’s voice was heard from outside the door: "My mom asks when you’re coming back."
Lana Holloway turned to look at him and replied, "The 26th."
Norman Sutton: "You’re going for so many days?"
Lana Holloway: "Just four days. My master approved the leave. I’ll return with him on the 25th after Christmas, as he’s on winter break."
Norman Sutton shouted in frustration, "I don’t care when his break is! Go enjoy your Christmas!"
With that said, Norman Sutton stormed off again.
Lana Holloway frowned and muttered, "What’s his problem?"
The day before the party, Lana Holloway boarded a plane to go abroad.
Originally excited about the party, Norman Sutton was slightly downhearted due to Lana Holloway’s absence.
Especially when he thought of her being intimate with another man abroad, he felt disgusted.
No, she’s just a poor girl. Why should she affect his mood?!
Go wherever she wants, be with whoever she wants, and best not come back!
Even thinking so, his heart was still not at ease.
The music party that Norman Sutton meticulously organized turned into a revelry for Audrey Sutton and the others, forcing him to accompany them for a whole day.
Since there were children at home, the party started in the afternoon and ended around nine at night.
Norman Sutton’s friends suggested going to an internet café for a gaming session together, but today, normally active Norman Sutton refused with the excuse of a headache from a cold.
He went upstairs early and locked himself in his room.
Sitting at the computer desk, he opened a single-player game and beat up the characters in the game, yet still felt unresolved.
He took out his phone and saw a WeChat post from Lana Holloway that afternoon: "My beloved flowers, my beloved him."
The accompanying picture was probably taken when Zachary Wilson went with flowers to pick her up at the airport.
Zachary Wilson’s face wasn’t visible, but it was clear that the flower holder was a man.
This blatant display of affection made Norman Sutton feel sick enough to want to vomit the barbecue he hadn’t yet digested. Disgusting! Absolutely disgusting! It infuriated him!
Thousands of miles away, the streets were already filled with a strong festive atmosphere.
Zachary Wilson had confessed to Lana Holloway before going abroad. Even after deciding to date, they hadn’t spent much time together.
During this period, they contacted each other daily, sharing even small details of their lives.
Although separated by distance, Lana Holloway still felt that this relationship was happy and sweet.
Because she always believed that if they persevered through these years, once Zachary Wilson completed his studies and returned, their mutual waiting would result in a beautiful outcome.
After getting off the plane, Zachary Wilson took Lana Holloway for a stroll around the nearby streets.
Although she had slept on the plane, Lana Holloway was still a little tired.
Having not seen Zachary Wilson for a while, she cherished every moment with him.
They had dinner outside and then returned to the apartment Zachary Wilson rented.
The apartment was large, with an upstairs and downstairs. Zachary had mentioned he rented it with some friends.
Lana Holloway stepped inside cautiously, looking around the place. Zachary Wilson took out a pair of women’s slippers from the cabinet and said, "I bought these specially because I knew you were coming."
Lana Holloway smiled, bent down to change her shoes, and asked, "Are your roommates not here?"
Zachary Wilson: "Most went home before the break. I’m almost alone here. Make yourself comfortable; I’ll get you a glass of water."
Lana Holloway nodded, glanced around briefly, and sat on the sofa in the living room with a smile: "I thought boys’ places would be messy."
Zachary Wilson laughed and said, "Since I knew you were coming, I definitely tidied up. I even cleaned my room. You can sleep there tonight; I’ll stay in the room next to mine."
Lana Holloway pursed her lips, nodded, and asked, "Can I see your room?"
Zachary Wilson handed her a glass of water and then picked up her suitcase, saying, "Of course, I’ll show you."
"This way."
Lana Holloway nodded and followed Zachary Wilson.
The upstairs had about five or six rooms and seemed quite spacious.
While Zachary Wilson was opening the door at the side, Lana Holloway heard a noise behind her. She turned to see a blonde woman in a spaghetti strap sleeping dress, with messy hair, sleepily looking in their direction. The woman joked in English, "Changed the girl again?"
Zachary Wilson glanced back with a laugh and replied, "Don’t talk nonsense, she’s my girlfriend."
Lana Holloway understood their conversation and asked Zachary after entering the room, "Did you bring girls here before?"
Zachary Wilson replied casually, "When I first came, my sister was worried, so she visited me a couple of times."
Hearing this, Lana Holloway didn’t think much more and looked at Zachary Wilson’s living environment. The house was spacious, well-lit, clean, and tidy.
"I’ve put the toiletries in the bathroom, and everything should be ready. It’s late already, so wash up and sleep early. I’ll take you out tomorrow."
"Okay, you should rest early too."
Zachary Wilson: "I’m right next door. If you need anything, just come and find me."
Zachary Wilson closed the door and left. Lana Holloway, indeed a bit weary, went to the bathroom for a shower and then lay on the bed filled with his scent, wrapping herself comfortably in the quilt and drifted off to a restful sleep.
"Creak—"
The door across opened in the silent night, making a clear sound.
The foreign woman who had greeted Zachary Wilson outside the door came out of her room, went straight to the room diagonally opposite, and locked the door after entering.
Feeling her way to the bed by the window’s nightlight, she looked at the peacefully sleeping Zachary Wilson, smiled, and lifted the covers, slipping inside...
