Mr. Warner, Your Wife is Running Away Again!-Chapter 706: Not Knowing What’s Good for You
Zachary Wilson woke up from his sleep and hadn’t opened his eyes when he smelled the perfume scent emanating from a woman.
The woman straddled his waist, teasing the man’s desires.
Zachary Wilson frowned and held the woman’s hand, whispering in English, "Fanny, stop it."
Fanny gave him a seductive smile, moved her body downward, and her head disappeared under the covers...
Zachary Wilson endured and frowned, glancing at the room next door. Then he reached for the phone by the bedside to check the time; it was three in the morning.
It was the time when people were in deep sleep; she shouldn’t wake up.
"Zach, don’t you find it more thrilling with your girlfriend next door?"
Zachary Wilson flipped over and pressed the woman beneath him, whispering, "Keep your voice down."
Fanny nodded with a smile, "I’ll try to control it."
"Ding dong—"
"Ding dong—"
...
Lana Holloway’s phone, charging on the bedside, rang five or six times in a row, forcibly waking her from her sleep.
The light from the phone was a bit dazzling. She frowned, picked it up, and indeed it was Norman Sutton.
He’s the only one who would send messages so rapidly.
Lana Holloway hadn’t gotten used to the phone’s harsh light, squinting to look at the messages from Norman Sutton.
First, he sent a photo, probably of the airport’s lounge.
Then asked: Which city are you in?
He usually wouldn’t finish a thought in one message, always one sentence per message box.
Norman Sutton: I’m going over for a match.
Norman Sutton: Where are you planning to go?
Norman Sutton: Not replying to my messages?
Seeing this last message, Lana Holloway rolled her eyes and pressed the voice memo: "Dude, it’s past three in the morning here."
Norman Sutton replied immediately: Then why aren’t you asleep? Messing around with your boyfriend until now?
Lana Holloway hadn’t had time to reply when Norman Sutton called with a voice chat, and Lana answered, speaking drowsily, "Dude, you’re not sleepy, but I am."
Norman Sutton: Not sleeping with your boyfriend? Still dare to pick up my call?
Lana Holloway: Why would it matter to you if I sleep with him or not? Speak if you have something to say, otherwise hang up!
Norman Sutton: I said I’m going over for a match and asked where you’re planning to go.
Lana Holloway: I’m going out with my boyfriend. Do you want to tag along? You play your match, and we’ll have our fun. Why are you asking so much?
"I asked because I thought it was a good thing! Ingrate!" After cursing, Norman Sutton angrily hung up the call.
Lana Holloway muttered a curse, put down the phone, and smacked her lips, feeling a bit thirsty.
Sitting up, she picked up the cup by the bed and remembered she had finished the water after showering.
Remembering where Zachary Wilson poured water for her, Lana Holloway threw off the covers, got out of bed, and took the cup to get some water downstairs.
The hallway outside was always lit, and though the light wasn’t strong, it was enough to see the way.
Worried about waking the others in the house, Lana Holloway moved very gently.
While passing the room next door, she faintly heard voices inside.
It sounded like someone whispering, but not clearly audible.
Lana Holloway looked around. The room she was staying in only had one adjacent side.
So when Zachary Wilson said yesterday he was staying next door, he probably meant this room?
Why were there voices in there so late at night? Were they on the phone?
Out of curiosity, Lana Holloway slowly leaned over, pressing her ear against the door, gradually hearing the sounds inside...
It was a woman’s moaning...
Listening for a few seconds, Lana Holloway stood up, blushing, unable to believe the scenes her mind was conjuring.
But making such sounds, what else could it be but that?
Lana Holloway looked around the corridor, starting to doubt her judgment. Was this really Zachary Wilson’s room?
Her heart racing, for confirmation, Lana Holloway pressed her ear to the door once more...
Initially, she tried to console herself that the woman’s sounds might be from the TV. It was understandable if a guy occasionally watched that kind of stuff...
But until she heard the woman’s voice in English say, "Zach, you’re amazing, I really like you... uh..."
Immediately, Zachary Wilson’s voice came up: "Don’t make a sound, she’s right next door."
What Zachary Wilson said in English wasn’t long, but through the door, Lana Holloway could definitely tell it was his voice.
He once participated in an English debate in school, and at the time, she found his fluent, standard English particularly pleasant. The school even had a promotional video in English he recorded, which she saved on her phone and listened to over and over...
Lana Holloway stood up, her expression wooden, standing by the door as she recalled their phone conversations and exchanges over the past days.
The beautiful future constructed in her mind crumbled in an instant; she was merely a fallback he found before going abroad to study...
The so-called promises he possibly said to other women too, only she stupidly believed them all, thinking earnestly that she waited for him to return, and they’d have a happy and beautiful life together...
Lana Holloway didn’t make any sound, nor did she plan to go in and question anything.
Silently, she returned to her room, wide awake. 𝒇𝓻𝓮𝓮𝙬𝙚𝒃𝒏𝓸𝙫𝒆𝙡.𝓬𝓸𝒎
Living next to them, they could be so brazen, so it was easy to imagine how much more unrestrained they’d be when she wasn’t around.
She turned on the light in her room, looking at all the things that belonged to him.
Bookshelves, tables, wardrobes, toiletries...
Lana Holloway hadn’t noticed any sign from these; clearly, Zachary Wilson was an extremely cautious and meticulous person.
Probably, he had already cleared all details that might arouse suspicion before she arrived.
Thinking back, when she entered the room, what the woman said to Zachary Wilson, likely the previous visitor wasn’t his sister, and she hadn’t been suspicious at all.
Her trust merely became a convenience for Zachary Wilson’s manipulation.
If she hadn’t overheard by chance, she probably would never have imagined that the warm-hearted, attentive, and sunny boy in her heart was a player to countless women behind the scenes...
"Zach, do you care about her that much? You sleep in separate rooms? You two haven’t done it yet, have you?"
Zachary Wilson picked up the clothes by the bed and headed to the bathroom saying, "She’s different from you guys. She’s my girlfriend, you guys are just flings, I’m going to marry her after returning."
Fanny puckered her lips in displeasure, holding onto her clothes, following Zachary Wilson into the bathroom, and wrapping her arms around him from behind, "But I think she’s pretty ordinary, like a kid who hasn’t grown up. Is that the type you like, Zach?"
"She’s very pure, not like you guys."
Fanny laughed mockingly, "What ’you guys’ and ’ours’? Aren’t we the same kind of person? Even after you marry her, can we continue this kind of relationship?"
