Multiple Personalities-Chapter 467: Moving Forward
"Another Magical Beast! How many of these creatures does this mysterious organization keep?" Shen Jingqi shouted angrily. His eyes revealed disgust and fury, and he gripped the dagger in his hand even tighter.
Lin Yu took a deep breath and said, "Don't panic, everyone. Follow the tactics we used before and find their weaknesses first." Although his voice was calm, his heartbeat involuntarily quickened. He understood that these wolf-shaped Magical Beasts were fiercer than those they had encountered before, and the battle would be exceptionally difficult.
The wolf-shaped Magical Beasts let out a deep growl and then lunged at the group with incredible speed, like arrows off the string, reaching them in an instant. Lin Yu swung his longsword to meet a charging beast. The longsword struck the beast's body with a loud clang, leaving only a shallow scratch.
"Their defense is too strong!" Lin Yu was startled and quickly sidestepped to avoid the beast's counterattack. The beast's claws brushed past his clothes, whipping up a gust of wind and giving him a cold sweat.
Shen Jingqi, meanwhile, weaved deftly among the beasts, looking for an opening to attack. Spotting one, he dashed forward and plunged his dagger in hard. The beast cried out in pain and turned to pounce on Shen Jingqi. He quickly darted aside, evading the beast's attack.
Li Baiyu cast her magic, sending streaks of blue light toward the beasts. The blue light hit them, slowing their movements slightly, but they soon recovered. She frowned in frustration: "My magic isn't very effective against them. I need to find a way to increase its power."
A man wielding a large blade engaged in a fierce battle with a particularly large Magical Beast. Sparks flew as the blade met the beast's body, but it couldn't deliver a fatal blow. Sweat covered the man's forehead as he grew increasingly frustrated: "Why are these beasts so hard to deal with? Are we really going to be trapped here?"
As the group was locked in a bitter struggle, a wolf-shaped Magical Beast suddenly launched a sneak attack on Lin Yu. Focused on the beast in front of him, he failed to notice the danger from the side. By the time he realized it, the beast's claws were almost upon his back.
"Lin Yu, watch out!" Shen Jingqi shouted, trying to rush over to help, but it was already too late.
At the critical moment, a flash of blue light shot past, striking the ambushing beast. The beast was sent flying and landed heavily on the ground. Lin Yu turned around to see that it was Li Baiyu who had saved him with her timely magic.
"Thank you, Li Baiyu!" Lin Yu said gratefully. Relief filled his heart; he might have been injured if not for Li Baiyu's intervention.
"Don't mention it. Everyone, be careful. These beasts are very cunning," Li Baiyu warned. Her eyes were cautious, knowing the fight was far from over. 𝒇𝙧𝙚𝓮𝔀𝓮𝒃𝙣𝓸𝒗𝒆𝒍.𝙘𝒐𝒎
After an intense battle, the group began to tire, while the wolf-shaped beasts seemed relentless, continuing their assaults. Watching the increasingly dire situation, the man worriedly thought, "This isn't working. We have to find a way to break through."
He looked around and noticed that the beasts seemed wary of one direction. An idea struck him, and he shouted to the group, "Head that way, everyone! I sense there might be a way out!"
Following the man's lead, the group charged in the indicated direction. The wolf-shaped beasts, sensing their intent, gathered to block their escape.
Lin Yu led the way with his longsword, cutting through the obstructing beasts like lightning. Shen Jingqi and Li Baiyu followed closely, using their skills to create opportunities for escape. The man covered the rear, defending against beast attacks with his large blade, safeguarding the group's retreat.
Through their determined efforts, they finally broke through the beast's encirclement. They dared not stop, racing towards the direction of escape. Only when the beastly roars faded did they stop, gasping for breath.
"Finally got rid of them," Shen Jingqi said, collapsing onto the ground. His body was covered in wounds, and his clothes were stained with blood, but all he wanted was to rest a moment.
Lin Yu also slumped to the ground, his arms aching, barely able to hold his longsword. "This mysterious organization is despicable, setting up so many obstacles to stop us," he spat angrily.
Though Li Baiyu was also tired, she forced herself to stay focused, saying, "We can't let our guard down. The mysterious organization won't let us off that easily. Besides, we haven't found their lair yet. Our mission isn't over." Her eyes showed determination, knowing they couldn't linger here too long.
The man stood up and said, "Li Baiyu is right. We need to keep moving. But let's rest a bit first to regain some strength." Looking at their exhausted faces, his heart ached for them, but he knew now wasn't the time for softness.
They rested for a while, regaining some strength, then stood up and pressed forward. This time, they were more cautious, carefully observing their surroundings with every step, wary of falling into danger again.
As they ventured deeper into the forest, the scenery grew increasingly eerie. The trees twisted and contorted as if bent by some invisible force. A faint black mist shrouded the ground, giving the sensation of being in Hell.
"I can feel a powerful evil force lurking here," Lin Yu said, his body shivering slightly.
Suddenly, a massive castle loomed ahead. The castle walls were built of black stone, exuding an ominous aura. The large gate was shut tight, covered in strange runes glowing with an eerie green light, seemingly harboring endless secrets.
"Is this the lair of the mysterious organization?" Li Baiyu asked in astonishment. Her eyes were a mix of excitement and tension, excited to have found their target, yet anxious about the dangers that might lurk within the castle.
The man nodded, saying, "Quite possibly. Prepare yourselves; we're going in to take a look." Though his voice was calm, his heart raced uncontrollably. He knew the upcoming battles would be more intense and dangerous.
Cautiously, they approached the castle. As they reached the gate, it suddenly opened on its own, and a powerful Dark Power surged out, enveloping them.
"Welcome to my domain, brave adventurers," an eerie voice echoed from inside the castle, as if beckoning from Hell.
