MY 10,000× DIMENSIONAL SYSTEM-Chapter 234: Titus
Titus was startled by the appearance of the system, to say the least.
The last thing his master told him before their conversation ended was
'By the way, I'm working on something cool, so look forward to it.' He'd spent a while wondering what he meant by that, and then he felt the faint ripple of energy throughout the realm.
Before he could ponder on it too deeply, the Stat panel appeared, causing him to sit up sharply due to being startled.

Connection to the Primordial Expanse {A+ Grade}
Titus blinked, startled, but before he could linger on his confusing thoughts, a deluge of information surged into his brain.
The system and how it worked, as well as many of its vast intricacies and how it tied into himself and his power suddenly became clear.
He was frozen for a few seconds, then he took a deep breath and exhaled some turbulent air.
There was a lot to unpack, and he intended to take his time.
First was his stats.
Seeing that it was in the thousands made him feel happy, but didn't know how each digit translated to a unit of power. He did some math and looked at how his strength scaled in relation to the type of damage he could so, eventually. He concluded that each point in strength wasn't as simple as an increase in normal weight, simply because the stats didn't add up.
He concluded that now, each point carried a sort of conceptual weight, which is why his hits could deal so much damage not just to any physical Mattel he encounters, but aspects of existence itself. Granted, the scale couldn't compare to what Christopher could produce, not by a long shot.
There was also his speed, which made sense to him. While he wasn't as fast as many people in his elder Disciple Kim's sect, he was still faster than most, his build was more focused on swift attacks rather than overwhelming strength, similar to his sister.
More on the idea of the so-called 'conceptual weight'
He guessed that for his speed, each state in speed didn't just make him faster, but affected how the world reacted in response to his speed.
This was a bit more difficult to ascertain, but Christopher had explained these things to him. Essentially, as one reached certain stages, they wouldn't just become fast, but the world woukd help speed them up.
Gravity would affect them less, concepts like drag and wind-resistance would apply significantly less until they became utterly irrelevant, and even space would subtly shrink itself when one approached a target. Things like that.
Moreover, it wasn't just his raw speed. His reactions time, reflexes, and even dexterity increase as a result of his increased agility.
Titus had felt these effects himself, so he knew Christopher was speaking the truth (And there was the massive library as well).
Then came his endurance. Once again, he wasn't surprised by it. He didn't see himself as particularly durable. He could take a hit or two, sure, but he isn't nullifying any planet busting attacks with nothing but his chest and prayers.
And in this case, the world actively protected one from harm. A very good example of this was with Christopher and when he just entered the Apex rank. He had a sort of 'passive barrier' that effectively reduced whatever damage he was meant to take from a being that hadn't transcended to negligible levels.
Now, keep in mind that Christopher's barrier was so effective due to numerous factors like his Physique, affinity, and other things. In the case of others, the effects wouldn't be so powerful, which is why some of his subordinates were seen killing Apex ranks before transcending.
Then came his intelligence, he was surprised that it wasn't higher, but when Titus thought about it, it made sense. He prioritized his skill over pure magical output. That wasn't to say he forsook magic. In fact, most of his fights involved him using enhancement based spells on himself to increase his effectiveness.
Take his fight with the Lenax clone, for example, he hadn't been throwing powerful beams of light or unleashing massive tornadoes of cutting wind, he relied on getting close vie making himself stronger and faster, and closing the distance.
There was no single reason that he fought like this, but at its core, Titus preferred to fight with his skills instead of just lobbing powerful spells at his opponent until he ran out of Mana.
When he came to peace with that, he finally turned to his stat with the highest numbers, and that was his Willpower. This surprised him a great deal.
From the information he got, Willpower helped his resistance against external forces trying to encroach on his mind, so mind attacks like mind control, Illusions, and so on.
Titus had no idea why his Willpower Stat was so high, and so he decided to asked Veylthar.
'It's because of me.' The weapon spoke curtly.
'I'm bonded to you, meaning we are connected in many ways, and our minds is one such way. Attacking your mind us like attacking mine, as such, our combined mental prowess has combined to make up a single state.' Hearing this explanation, Titus snapped his fingers in understanding.
'Makes sense, even though I don't have him out all the time, I'm keenly aware of the fact that he's still a part of me, so the fact that we don't share stats shouldn't be too surprising.'
Nodding to himself, he looked down and saw his skill Panel. He looked through them and just saw a bunch of Skills he used regularly as well as techniques. His Affinity for light and wind magic were also a thing. However, he found it curious how his Soulforge was a passive skill.
'Then again, it's not like I'm actively enhancing whatever I put in there, and I feel no exhaustion whenever I run out of Ambrosia, so I guess it checks out. Still, id have ecpected it to be under the innate skill panel.' He thought and opened it up, and sure enough, it was there.
[SoulForge (Unique: Dormant)]
He rubbed his chin.
'Interesting. Maybe since it's an Innate skill, but also passive, it would fall under both categories. Would a dragon's natural magic resistance then fall under both passive and Innate skills?' He thought about it for a bit longer before moving down again.
He decided to ignore the System Blessings and focused on the paths area for a bit.
'It says I must choose a path to unlock. Does that mean I already have some Paths waiting for me? The system talked about records, and judging by the titles and achievements I'm seeing, I must have gotten quite the decent records.' The prospect excited Titus if he was being honest with himself. The idea that he could choose a Path, and once done, not only would his already great potential skyrocket, but his path of progression would become more centralized, and the things he could learn woukd become more specialized to his path.
A small part of him wondered if being specialized was such a good thing. After all, as he was now, he still had quite some versatility he could work with, so he was flexible. Choosing a path would remove such flexibility.
That's why he calmed down and took his time with looking through the system and its tabulation of his stats.
Seeing his energy panel and the pitiful level of Ambrosia he had compared to his Void-Forged Mana, he pursed his lips a bit.
He had kinda made peace with the fact that the amount of Ambrosia he had was quite sad in comparison to his Mana, but seeing the difference in numerical values just made the disparity much larger, and suddenly he felt discontent with the status quo.
'Why the heck is it so small? Moreover, why can't I increase the quantity? I refuse to believe that there is no way for me to do so.' He snorted.
With the resources the Primordial Expanse contained, Titus refused to believe that there was absolutely NO way for him to increase the quantity of his Ambrosia as well as how fast he regenerated it.
What this situation painted was exactly what Christopher wanted to achieve. Now that his subordinates saw some of their flaws, they suddenly woukd become discontent with how things were and try to improve, using the vast array or resourced to had at their disposal to achieve the results they desired. And the System's would help them with just that.
