My Antique Mirror Is A Portal To Another World-Chapter 109: Is There Something Bothering You?
Chapter 109: Is There Something Bothering You?
Inside one of the bags, Feng Wu found small boxes. He opened one of the boxes, and immediately, the smell of fried meat mixed with an unfamiliar but mouthwatering fragrance filled the air.
He swallowed his saliva and sniffed the burger curiously.
Though confused by its stacked shape, Feng Wu studied it briefly before taking it out of the box. Then, without hesitation, he took a big bite.
Watching through the antique mirror, Bai Hanyun raised her brows slightly at this scene.
After that first bite, Feng Wu’s eyes widened in astonishment. He paused, then eagerly chewed and swallowed, before taking another bite right away. In just a few more bites, the burger was gone.
As he reached for another, Bai Hanyun said, "There is milk tea in the other bag."
Feng Wu paused, pulled back his hand, and opened the second bag. Taking out one cup of milk tea, he inspected it curiously.
Seeing the straws inside the bag, he picked them up and asked, "Fairy Bai, what are these?"
"It’s a straw. See the sharp end?" Bai Hanyun asked.
Feng Wu nodded, and then Bai Hanyun added, "Use the sharp end to stab through the cover of the cup."
Following her instructions, Feng Wu stabbed the straw through the lid, then looked at the bronze mirror, waiting for her next instruction.
Bai Hanyun chuckled when she saw this and said, "You can drink it through the straw."
Hearing this, Feng Wu obediently took a sip. The moment the sweet, fragrant milk tea entered his mouth, Feng Wu froze. A few seconds later, he took another big gulp.
Seeing that he liked the burger and milk tea, Bai Hanyun said, "You can share the rest with your friends later. For now, I need to speak with Feng Xiyan. Can you bring me to him?"
Feeling happy after eating the burger and milk tea, Feng Wu nodded. "Yes, Fairy Bai."
Before leaving, he looked into the distance and said, "Share this with the brothers."
Then he wrapped the bronze mirror with a red silk cloth, placed it and its stand into a wooden box, and carried it under one arm.
With the other hand holding his half-finished milk tea, Feng Wu circulated his internal energy, activated his lightness skill, and kicked off the ground—soaring into the air toward the barracks.
A few minutes later, Feng Wu arrived at the commander’s tent. Seeing that Feng Xiyan was reading bamboo scrolls, Feng Wu stepped out of the shadows and knelt before him.
"Master, the water has stopped, and Fairy Bai said she has something to tell you."
Hearing this, Feng Xiyan placed the bamboo scroll on the long table and stood up.
As he walked over to retrieve the wooden box from Feng Wu, he said, "Well done. Go get some rest and have your meal."
Rubbing his stomach, Feng Wu glanced at his cup of milk tea for a second, then replied, "Thank you, Master."
With that, Feng Wu handed over the wooden box to Feng Xiyan and went to find his brothers. Hopefully, to get one more burger.
After placing the bronze mirror on the altar, Feng Xiyan clasped his fists and said, "Fairy Bai, Xiyan is here. I heard that you have something to tell me. Please feel free to speak."
Looking at Feng Xiyan’s handsome face through the antique mirror, Bai Hanyun noticed something was off about his expression.
She tilted her head slightly and asked, "Feng Xiyan, are you alright? Is there something bothering you?"
When her voice echoed through the tent, Feng Xiyan’s heart skipped a beat. He raised his eyes and looked at the bronze mirror, surprise flickering in them.
’How could she know that something was bothering me with just one look? Fairy Bai is indeed a fairy from Heaven.’
After a brief silence, he smiled and replied, "Xiyan is fine. Thank you for your concern, Fairy Bai. Feng Wu said you had something to tell me."
Bai Hanyun stared at him for a moment before answering, "Yes. I have prepared the photo you wanted. I also bought fabric, needles, threads, and military tents for you. They will be delivered tomorrow."
Feng Xiyan’s eyes lit up with anticipation and excitement when he heard that he could see what Bai Hanyun looked like in a while. Clenching his hands, he tried to control his nervousness.
While he tried to calm himself, Bai Hanyun took out the photos from her backpack and said, "Feng Xiyan, I will send the photos over now."
Without waiting for a reply, she sent the envelope through the antique mirror. A second later, the envelope appeared on top of the altar.
Feng Xiyan reached out and picked it up. Before opening it, he took a few deep breaths.
Noticing his trembling fingers, Bai Hanyun laughed and asked, "Why are you so nervous? It’s just a few photos. If anyone should be nervous, it should be me, not you."
Feng Xiyan smiled at her words and pulled the photos out from the envelope. As soon as his eyes landed on one of them, he froze.
As he stared at the photos without blinking, Bai Hanyun asked curiously, "How is it? Can the photos be used?"
Feng Xiyan snapped out of his daze at her question. Feeling something warm trickle from his nose, he quickly turned around and pinched his nose.
Not getting any response after waiting for a while, Bai Hanyun scratched her cheek and muttered, "Are the photos not good enough?"
While she was thinking, Feng Xiyan let go of his nose, and blood dripped down. Embarrassed, he quickly wiped it away with his sleeve. novelbuddy-cσ๓
After making sure the bleeding had stopped and no blood stains were left on his face, Feng Xiyan turned back to the bronze mirror. Too embarrassed to look at the bronze mirror, he lowered his head.
After hesitating for a long moment, he finally asked, "Fairy Bai... do you have another picture? These are... a bit too revealing..."
As he spoke, his voice grew smaller and smaller.
