Chapter 54: 54. Quiet Moment With Diana And Luna.

The training session continued for a while and by the end of the session, Aaron felt a lot closer to his beasts.

In fact, the amount of bond energy points he acquired as a reward for training the beasts made his jaw drop. But he decided to check out his status later in the night.

And so, with their training at an end, Aaron and his beasts returned to the city.

Later that evening, Aaron decided to check out the training yard, but to his surprise, he noticed that the elves were still being trained by Diana despite how late it had gotten.

From what he could see, Diana had divided them into pairs, and each pair was currently sparring against another with wooden swords in their hands.

Meanwhile, Diana was a bit far away from where they were training, as she was assessing the strengths and weaknesses of every single one of them. But she was too focused on what she was doing, so she didn’t even know when Aaron approached her until he spoke.

"You’re pushing them a lot harder than I expected that you would," Aaron said while standing beside her.

"I have to, besides, they need this if we want them to be ready."

Aaron nodded as he watched the men grunting and shouting while sparring against each other. "I just wanted to say... thank you, for everything."

"You don’t have to thank me, Baron. I’m doing this because I believe that we can reclaim our home, just like Kain and his men."

Aaron smiled faintly before staring at the stars above."Still, it means a lot to me."

Aaron watched Kain and his men spar for a while longer before returning to his room to get some sleep. However, when he stepped into his room, he finally decided to check out his status and the number of bond energy points he had acquired.

Looking at the details of the skills being displayed in front of him, there were a lot of things that had improved over the weeks, but most importantly, his bond energy points were what impressed him the most.

Aaron noticed that the loyalty of his beasts, mainly Glimmer and Thunder, had barely improved over the past few weeks, but he was automatically awarded fifty bond energy points each for training with all three of his beasts; it was certainly the first time he had ever obtained such a high amount of points at once.

Aaron knew that he should have trained with his beasts a lot sooner, especially because of the incentives he received. However, he couldn’t have done this because he had been busy ever since he arrived in his new world.

Reminding himself that he had at least done what he was supposed to do, even if it took so long, Aaron decided to take a look at all the skills he had obtained from his beasts and the level that each of those skills currently was.

Of course, his skills had improved a lot due to the amount of mana crystals he had absorbed over the last few weeks.

Aaron checked out some other things that weren’t really important before finally going to bed.

The next morning, Aaron stepped out of his bedroom and walked down the hallway to the main area of the mansion, but he found Luna in the garden, practicing by herself with a small wooden knife in her hand.

Her movements were awkward and the little girl knew this as well, from the way she seemed to be grumbling to herself several times. Just watching her, Aaron could see how frustrated his little sister was.

"Need some help?" He asked as he stepped closer, but Luna was startled by his voice; she didn’t even know when he stepped into the courtyard.

"Oh! Good morning, big brother."

"Good morning, Luna. So, is there a reason why you’re practicing with a wooden sword in your hand?"

"Yes, there is. Everyone seems to be busy with one thing or the other, but unlike you all, I’m the only one who doesn’t have an important task to do. So I thought that it would be better if I tried practicing on my own, just in case I have to fight against a demonic beast one day. But I can’t even swing a measly dagger properly like Lady Diana, and in the end, it looks like I’m just going to be a burden on everyone else around me."

Aaron crouched beside her as he tried to lighten up her mood. "Don’t say that, Luna. No one thinks you’re in their way, and if anyone says that, just let your big brother know, he’ll clobber them so hard there will be nothing left of them." 𝒻𝓇𝑒𝘦𝘸𝑒𝒷𝓃ℴ𝑣𝘦𝑙.𝒸ℴ𝘮

Luna giggled and looked at the wooden sword she was holding.

"But what about Princess Aurora, I thought you were helping her to brew potions?" Aaron asked and Luna replied with a nod.

"Yes, I was, but the maids helping her are a lot faster in brewing the potions than me. By the time I’m done with one, everyone would have completed five potions already, and I realized that if I stay there, I’ll only end up slowing them down with the mistakes I make while brewing the potions."

"I see. Well, if you really want to learn, then I guess I’ll have to teach you."

"Huh? You mean...?"

"Yeah, I’ll teach you everything I know, but first, we’ll start with the basics, okay?"

"Yes! Please, teach me."

Aaron smiled before guiding her through the basics as he said he would.

At first, Luna stumbled through the motions during their training, but her confidence grew the more Aaron corrected her mistakes and cheered her on

By the end of the training, Luna’s movements became less stiff and she couldn’t wait to learn more from him.

However, Aaron decided that they should take a break before continuing again.

Weeks passed by in a flash, and as it did, Luna’s confidence grew as well.

Her sword skills had also improved, but the little girl took an interest in archery as well.

As for the elven warriors training under Diana, they had improved a lot under her guidance.

Their movements had grown more precise and their teamwork also became seamless.

Even Kain, who had initially struggled with Diana’s intense training, slowly began to get used to it, and he showed a huge improvement from when he first started.

As for Aaron and his beasts, he continued to train with his beasts, but the rewards he obtained from each of the training sessions weren’t as high as the one he received during their first training session.

But as time passed, the rewards he obtained were certainly worth the effort he made during their training sessions.

As for Aurora, her knowledge of potion brewing had improved a lot, allowing her to create even more potent potions.

And now, on the final day of the training, Diana stood in the training yard, watching as Kain and everyone else trained very hard.

The rest of the knights, who had initially been recuperating, had all returned, fully fit, and all of them were swiftly integrated into the warriors training under Diana.

Aaron kept observing them from a distance and even he couldn’t help but be amazed by how prepared they were to embark on their upcoming journey.

Before they knew it, the time to step out of the city had arrived. The group gathered at the city’s gate with Aaron standing in front of everyone while his beasts flanked him.

Diana and Aurora stood beside him and they both listened to how Aaron addressed the elven warriors in front of them.

Once they were ready, everyone turned towards the path ahead.

The journey to Sylvan Glade took them through dense forests, although the air within the forest was filled with corrupted miasma.

The trees were gnarled and twisted as well and they encountered different species of demonic beasts.
