My Blacksmith System: Transforming my Weapons into Beautiful Maidens-Chapter 13: Dark Goblin
Chapter 13: Dark Goblin
Arrrrrgh!
Rashin took a huge swing, his spear slicing the giant rat in two.
As blood dripping into the running sewage water, Rashin caught his breath, eyes fixed on the multiple dead rats in front of him.
[Notice, The Sharp spear has leveled up.]
Rashin looked at the spear, watching as mana began to flow through it.
From what he had noticed, his weapons could easily level up, and after reaching a certain point, they begin to produce their own set of skills and abilities.
In other words, the weapons were evolving.
Rashin sighed, "Correct me if in wrong, Priestess. But this was supposed to be a simple sewage cleaning, right?"
No response.
"Priestess?"
He turned around to check, only to find Eri was at a far distance, hiding at the corner of the cave.
"What?! Did you say something?!" She shouted, her palm covering her nose.
Rashin couldn't help but glare a bit before deciding to make his way towards her.

Reaching her front, her uttered, "I understand the need to hide, but staying this far from me won't guarantee your safety if you were to get ambushed."
Eri peeped at the distance, making sure she could see all the dead rats Rashin had killed.
"Amazing, you really did kill them all. I'm impressed." She spoke.
"Priestess, are you listening to me?"
Eri stood straight, "I only hid here because I didn't want to get in your way. The job description said nothing about killing giant rats."
"Priestess..."
" That's why I got shocked when I saw the rats hearing towards us. I did expect you to run with me, so I stopped to sse if you'd be fine. Besides, you were doing fine, I doubt any rat would."
"Stop talking."
Rashin said before using his hand to cover her mouth.
He then proceeded to push her into the darkness, while keeping his eyes at the side at all times.
Before he entered the underground tunnel with Eri, he had sensed something was not right with the place, but he quickly shoved it to the side as he believed Eri knew what she was going.
He was proven wrong when a group of rats began to race towards him.
At first glance, it seemed like they were trying to attack him, but Rashin, could tell that wasn't the case.
He pulled his mouth towards Eri's ear and whispered, "Something is coming."
Eri's eyes widened, just like Rashin, she could also sense it.
"Those rats didn't attack me because they wanted to. Their attack patterns were to disorganized for that."
Eri gulped down her saliva, torn between savoring Rashin's deep voice echoing in her ear, and watching the choking mana heading towards their direction.
Rashin continued, "They were panicking, running from someone or something."
Eri whispered back, "You think there's something else in this sewer?"
"I do. What was the job description again?"
Eri took a sec to remember, "Something about the smell getting over whelming and attracting wild animals."
Rashin sighed, "I do not understand how that makes any sense, but one thing is for sure, something is living in this place. I suggest you leave."
"You mean we."
"I don't intend on arguing with you on this. Head towards the exist, I'll be there when I'm -"
"Why ... leave? Human...stay."
A sudden eerie voice echoed beside Rashin and Eri.
To make matters worse, the voice sounded like it was very close to them.
Rashin wasted no time, he picked Eri up and leaped back, creating a huge distance before his foot touched the ground.
With enough distance created, Rashin could fully see the figure that snuck behind them.
It was a dark goblin.
Unlike regular goblins, they were known to be powerful, having two times the abilities of a green goblin.
"A black goblin? Why would one be so close to humans, they don't like humans at all." Eri spoke, now hiding behind Rashin.
"This is the first I'm hearing of them. Don't they mean any harm?" Rashin asked, keeping his eyes on the goblin at all cost.
"Is that supposed to be a real question? Can't you see that's a dark goblin!"
Rashin titled his head to the side. In his own time, goblins didn't exist, not to speak of a dark one.
"if it's a threat, then I will eliminate it."
Eri had a dump founded expression, "You sure talk a big game for a D Rank."
"Eh? I do?"
"Human come... human die. Friends...eat."
From the darkness, more and more dark goblins began to show up.
Unlike their cousins the green goblins, dark goblin had no weapons, they didn't need it.
"Looks like they are ready to right."
Rashin stood tall, his opening his palm slightly for his weapon to appear in his grip.
[Short Dagger (Lvl 7)]
"Priestess, please move back, I would hate for you to get caught in this."
Eri didn't waste a single second. She moved back, creating enough distance between herself and Rashin.
One of the promises she made with Rashin before she was allowed to journey with him was that she would never interfere in his fights. And he was dead serious with it.
"Kick their asses!" Eri shouted, her way of motivating him.
"Right." Rashin held his dagger upright, ready to battle with the multiple dark goblins slipping out of the dungeon.
The dark goblin pointed at Rashin, "Kill human."
And with that, they began to charge towards him at full speed. While someone ran through flowing dirty water, others stuck to the walls like spider, closing the distance at a rapid state.
