My College Teacher is My Children's Mom-Chapter 712: Is That Person the Wealthiest?
As she spoke, the beauty took out her phone, ready to scan his code.
This woman was stunningly beautiful and carried herself with class. She didn’t seem like the type to be out just for fun, yet she was incredibly bold. Lin Feng recognized his share of luxury brands. The woman’s phone was the latest Apple model, just released, and her necklace was a limited edition from a high-end designer. Her family was clearly well-off.
Lin Feng rejected her.
Refusing to take no for an answer, the woman blocked Lin Feng’s path again. "Am I not pretty enough? Why do you keep rejecting me?"
She was clearly annoyed.
Lin Feng guessed that with her looks and family background, countless men must line up to pursue her; she probably never had to make the first move. Perhaps she hadn’t expected her initiative to be met with such a lack of interest.
Lin Feng flashed his wedding ring at her.
Jeez.
To his surprise, she bluntly said, "It doesn’t matter. I don’t mind."
Lin Feng was left speechless.
Have the values of young women these days become this skewed?
"Sorry, I’m not interested in being friends with someone who could be my daughter’s age."
"Ah?"
Lin Feng ignored her stunned expression and walked away. Staring wide-eyed, the woman huffed in frustration as Lin Feng entered the private room. She stomped her foot petulantly. "What the heck!"
Lin Feng entered the private room to find Lin Jie singing "Ninth Sister," growing more energetic by the minute.
"When are we heading back?"
"Let’s sing a little longer."
About fifteen minutes later, Dabao and Sibao came in, led by a staff member.
"What are you two doing here?" Lin Feng asked, a little surprised.
Sibao giggled. "We came to see you and Uncle! Dad, can you let us sing a few songs, too?"
Lin Feng laughed. "Go ahead. The microphones are over there. Order whatever you want to eat; I’ll pay for it in a bit."
Sibao happily picked up the menu. "Let me see what good food they have here."
Young people eat a lot and get hungry quickly, and a foodie like Sibao was no exception.
Sibao looked at the price list in shock. "Oh my gosh, why is it so expensive?"
"It is pricey," Dabao frowned.
Sibao pouted. "For these prices, I’d rather buy food outside. How much does it cost out there, anyway?"
"No outside food or drinks allowed here," Dabao said, glancing up from his phone. He continued, "If you want to eat, just order. Dad said he’s treating."
As children of the richest man, they didn’t lack money, but one of their virtues was frugality. Even though their dad was paying, Sibao still hesitated. In the end, Dabao took charge and ordered a 499-yuan set meal with five items.
Sibao had bought an apartment in Jingcheng and was paying the mortgage himself. While not exactly under pressure, he had developed a keen awareness of his finances. He was now the most frugal of the children, so much so that even Erbao laughed at him.
Before long, the 499-yuan meal arrived, and Sibao exclaimed that he’d been conned.
"A plate of spiced bean curd, a small plate of ’husband and wife lung slices,’ and this cold dish..."
That’s a hundred yuan a plate...
They often went to moderately priced KTVs where a set meal typically cost around 199 yuan.
Sibao ate with a pained expression. "We’re never coming to this place again. It doesn’t look that grand, but I didn’t expect the prices to be so high."
With three young people joining in, the atmosphere in the room instantly became lively. After singing for over two hours, the group decided it was time to head back. During this time, Zhang Yuxi didn’t call even once, which made Lin Feng a little curious.
Aside from Lin Jie, whose vibe was a little different, the others were all unbelievably handsome, each with his own distinct characteristics.
In the lobby, the woman who had asked for Lin Feng’s contact info stood there, looking somewhat dazed as they passed.
So what if Lin Feng rejected me? she thought. There are three other guys. And they’re all so, so handsome!
Dabao was trailing behind, finishing a phone call. The woman’s eyes landed on him; she liked the mature and steady type.
"Hi, can we get to know each other?"
Dabao hung up and refused flatly, "No."
The woman’s smile froze on her face. She probably didn’t expect that two men who looked so refined and mature would reject her so bluntly.
Dabao walked past her, speaking to Sibao who was about to head to the restroom. "The restroom is over there."
Unwilling to give up, the woman quickly intercepted Sibao, blocking him at the restroom entrance. "Hi, can we get to know each other?"
Sibao smiled. "Sorry, miss."
The woman was speechless. What good is a ’sorry’?
Lin Feng walked over and glanced at the woman. "Where’s Sibao?"
Dabao put away his phone. "Sibao is in the restroom."
Just then, his phone rang. It was Zhang Yuxi. Dabao answered, "Mom, we’re done here. We’ll be back soon. Dad’s right here with me. Yeah, it’s just a few of us. Oh..."
He held the phone out to Lin Feng. "Dad."
Lin Feng took the phone.
"Husband, bring some of that for me when you come back," Zhang Yuxi’s voice came through the receiver.
Lin Feng mentally calculated the date. "Okay, I know which brand to buy." He knew exactly which ones to get for day or night use.
After he hung up, the woman asked in disbelief, "He’s... your father?"
Sibao, who had just come out of the restroom, raised an eyebrow. "Yeah. He doesn’t look old enough, does he?"
Lin Jie, who was much more sober now, clapped Lin Feng on the shoulder. "See, bro? I told you you look too young. The young lady can’t even believe it."
Lin Feng smiled and didn’t say a word.
As the group left, the woman remained rooted to the spot, still in shock. She felt Lin Feng looked familiar but couldn’t quite place him until she overheard a conversation from the reception desk.
"Was that... the richest man?"
"Damn it, why didn’t you say so earlier!"
The manager came rushing out, offering a refund with an apologetic smile.
Lin Feng shook his head. "No need."
The area around the KTV was full of designated drivers. When they saw Lin Feng’s group emerge, several of them flocked over. The group consisted of four people, a perfect fit for one car. 𝒇𝙧𝙚𝓮𝔀𝓮𝒃𝙣𝓸𝒗𝒆𝒍.𝙘𝒐𝒎
After seeing Lin Feng’s group off in a car, the manager and the woman were left standing there, filled with regret.
