Chapter 731: Chapter 731: Defense Broken! Mighty Yangyang 2

Mu Lao San lowered his head, staring at the confident Little Daoist Su Chaoyang, and stroked his salt-and-pepper beard. "Words spoken are like water splashed," he acknowledged, naturally not denying what he had said. Even though the result he had just calculated filled him with potential worries.

At this moment, voices rose and fell within the surrounding crowd. "That’s right!" one person shouted, and others echoed, "Only if Her Majesty, the Queen of the Mu Continent, can command The Third Eye will we acknowledge her as the rightful ruler of this city!"

A playful glint flashed in Little Daoist Su Chaoyang’s eyes. She lifted her small head and announced, "Here’s the thing, my mother is far too busy with important matters to publicly demonstrate The Third Eye like some kind of monkey show for everyone. However, my mother has already told *me* how to use The Third Eye, and *I’ve* learned it. Now, let *me* show you all whether my mother can truly command The Third Eye or not."

These words, seemingly dismissive of everyone present, clearly irritated the crowd.

Ye Jingzhe, her expression icy, stepped forward. "What?" she said in a deep voice. "If even my little sister can easily command The Third Eye, wouldn’t that prove our mother is the rightful ruler of Baitown City?"

"Why use a sledgehammer to crack a nut!" Xi Lei added from the side.

Shen Wushuang couldn’t listen any longer and snorted. "A bunch of arrogant little dragon whelps! Do you think The Third Eye is something just anyone can command? If you have real abilities, then show them. Stop bragging!"

Gu Shurong gave Su Chaoyang a look: It’s time to show your true abilities!

Little Daoist Su Chaoyang, however, didn’t rush to demonstrate her abilities. Instead, she drawled in her most babyish voice, "Oh? Then how would you like this baby to command The Third Eye?"

The protesting crowd fell silent. After all, they had only heard that The Third Eye was Gendaya’s national treasure and could grant superpowers. However, they had no idea what specific powers it bestowed. 𝙛𝒓𝒆𝙚𝒘𝒆𝓫𝙣𝓸𝙫𝓮𝒍.𝒄𝒐𝓶

All eyes turned to Mu Lao San, feeling that such a challenging question should be left to Master Mu.

Truth be told, Mu Lao San didn’t know how The Third Eye granted superpowers either! He had only heard from his master that The Third Eye, Gendaya’s national treasure, was actually an artifact of the Mystery Sect. It had been crafted by the original founder of Baitown City—who was his own grandmaster’s grandmaster—and turned into a powerful treasure! That founding master was named Ji Changsheng.

Years ago, Master Ji had found a rare meteorite Undersea. He fashioned it into the shape of a cat’s eye, named it The Third Eye, and used it as one of his magical artifacts. It was said that Master Ji wielded it with incredible ease, and before The Third Eye, all manner of ghosts and demons would be forced to reveal their true forms. It supposedly had other incredible functions too... But these were just rumors, of course; Mu Lao San wasn’t entirely certain they were true!

To avoid embarrassing himself, Mu Lao San adopted a profound and mysterious air. "Seeing as you’re just a child, I won’t make things difficult for you. Do as you please. We have eyes; we’ll be able to see for ourselves!"

Being told to ’do as you please’ was always the hardest! It seemed like no demand at all, but in reality, the underlying expectations were sky-high.

Ye Jingzhe, Xi Lei, and Gu Shurong all frowned in unison, looking at Su Chaoyang with concern.

Little Daoist Su Chaoyang, however, merely curved her lips into a smile. She clearly didn’t find this ’test’ as daunting as an Olympiad math problem. Lifting her small head, she chirped, "You said it yourself, so this baby will do as she pleases!"

She suddenly kicked her short legs and floated up above everyone’s heads, instantly creating an imposing aura of superiority. Then, one tiny hand cradled The Third Eye while her other small, chubby hand gently stroked it. The gesture was filled with ritualistic significance, and everyone’s attention was drawn unanimously towards the artifact.

Little Daoist Su Chaoyang’s small lips began to move, chanting profound and inscrutable Mystery Terminology. As she chanted, she lifted The Third Eye high and declared, "If the city returns to Mu, it is by the dragon’s spirit, and also humanity’s fortune. No courtesy goes unreturned; may the spirits hearken to this! Swiftly, swiftly, as by imperial command and law! Manifest!"

Instantly, the tranquil Third Eye erupted, refracting a myriad of brilliant rays. The visual impact was so overwhelming that everyone stared, dumbfounded! Even the usually composed Ye Jingzhe had a baffled look on her icy little face. What is happening? she wondered.

The crowd gathered in the City Hall plaza had never witnessed such a spectacle. They had only seen such things in movies, created by special effects, or meticulously orchestrated by lighting designers. But the sight unfolding before their very eyes left no possibility of trickery! This was the myriad light refracting from The Third Eye. Deep underwater, it appeared even more dazzling and resplendent, beautiful beyond words, yet also solemn and sacred. It filled all hearts with awe, deterring anyone from acting rashly.

Even Mu Lao San suddenly found himself filled with solemn respect, staring in disbelief at The Third Eye cradled in Su Chaoyang’s arms.

Inside City Hall, standing before the floor-to-ceiling windows, Si Lisao, Su Zhi, Xi Jinrong, and Gu Changbin were all utterly stupefied. It truly is Gendaya’s national treasure! they thought in unison. Anything that can be called a national treasure must possess incredible power!

Little Yangyang held The Third Eye aloft. Bathed in its dazzling radiance, the Little Daoist seemed like a tiny emissary sent from the heavens, inspiring an urge in onlookers to prostrate themselves at her feet in submission.

"This little one certainly has a brain!" Xi Jinrong remarked, stroking his chin with a long finger and nodding in appreciation.

Si Lisao stood with his hands clasped behind his back, saying nothing, but a faint, appreciative smile touched the corners of his lips.

After a few seconds of stunned silence, Su Zhi burst into hearty laughter. "How about that!" he boasted. "Didn’t I tell you my Yangyang has the potential to be an heir? I raised this child myself!"

Gu Changbin, observing the scene outside the floor-to-ceiling window, remarked, "It seems to be more than just special effects. Look..."

For those inside, behind the windows, the sensation wasn’t as pronounced. But the people out in the City Hall plaza felt as if they had been abruptly shifted from Three-Dimensional Space into a Four-Dimensional Space! That sensation was utterly indescribable! Nothing could obstruct the view of what lay behind it; the interiors of all closed objects became visible. It was as if everyone had suddenly gained Clairvoyant Eyes, yet it was more profound than mere X-ray vision. There was an unnamable sense of depth, a dimensionality that couldn’t be described by distance. It was simply too magical. It felt like stepping into a science fiction movie!

This experience, however, was fleeting, lasting only a mere thirty seconds. Then, Little Daoist Su Chaoyang suddenly recited another Incantation. In an instant, the dazzling light vanished completely, and the sensation of being in Four-Dimensional Space disappeared along with it.

The sense of disappointment was acute, like a movie being yanked from theaters right at its most thrilling climax!

Little Daoist Su Chaoyang had no intention of letting everyone revel in the thrill of Four-Dimensional Space for too long. She didn’t want them to see more than they ought, turning their surprise into fright.

Having made her point, she floated above them, looking down at the crowd and at Mu Lao San, who still hadn’t fully recovered his wits. "Old man," she chirped, "this Baby asks you, are you convinced now?"
