“Master, I was just thinking, rather than calling her dungeon or your daughter, shouldn’t she have a name?” Elaya asked.

“Yeah, even your sword has a name!” Astria nodded.

“That sword is my daughter.” Xin glared at her.

“Tsk… still just a sword,” Elaya muttered.

“You…”

“I have been thinking about that.” I cut in before they started bickering again. “Eliana had already discussed a name she wanted to call her daughter. Since this is Eliana’s child, I think we should go with her name.”

“Oh? What is that?” Elaya asked with interest.

“How do you think about the name Eliza?” I decided to ask the girl herself rather than just force a name on her.

The little girl thought about it for a second and then she smiled cutely and gave a nod. “Mm!”

“Alright, then your name is Eliza!”

At that moment, there was a surge of energy, and some notifications appeared in my vision.

{Your dungeon has been renamed Eliza.}

It appeared that the Monster Tamer skill Naming kicked in and she became a named dungeon. Wait, didn’t dungeons usually have names? What was the name of the dungeon before I just renamed it? Also, why was it just called Eliza? Shouldn’t it be Eliza’s Abode or Eliza’s Labyrinth or something? She was the intelligence around the dungeon, I could have given it a cool name like Dungeon of the Revenant Heart or something. That sounded a bit over the top though, and it would ultimately be the name of this little girl, so after a few moments of thought, I decided this was for the best.

“Eliza… I think Eliana will like that name.” Elaya responded, a small smile on her face.

It did have a phonetic similarity with the other girls. I hadn’t noticed it before, but Eliana was probably named because of Elaya. Perhaps Eliana also picked a name that sounded similar to her own. In this world, last names typically were related more to the house and family you were a part of than something related to naming.

Eliana was only named Aberis because when her father became King, he decided to take the name to help solidify his authority over the Demon Lord Aberis. In that case, relatives might typically name their children in ways phonetically similar to their fathers. After all, didn’t King Aberis just name his son Edward II? I wouldn’t know if this was how it was done for certain until I spoke to her though. ƒree𝑤ebnσvel-com

“Thank you, daddy!” Eliza jumped into my arms and hugged me.

“It wasn’t anything,” I responded sheepishly, after all, it was just giving her the name her mother wanted her to have.

I did send Eliana a Slave Communication that I wanted to meet with her. Telling her that her daughter was now a sentient dungeon was more something I wanted to speak with her in person about, but she told me she was busy for a few weeks finishing up the alliance, and that she didn’t have time at the moment. I figured there was no rush, so I left it with that.

“Alright, in the meantime, let’s fix this place up so you’re protected!” I flexed my fingers.

The three older women glanced at each other without saying anything. What was that look about? I just didn’t want my daughter getting violated by any dungeon divers. Was that so weird?
