My Evil Crown Prince-Chapter 44: Conflict
"Why do you look so sleepy?" Samantha asked.
She slightly smiled. "Nothing. I was just tired."
Lea grinned. "Did you do it?"
She frowned. "Did what?"
Lea rolled her eyes. "Did you and the prince already have sex?
Her eyes widened. She looked around if someone other than her and her friends heard what Lea said. They were in the cafeteria having lunch together so it was a bit crowded.
"Lea!" She called.
"What? I mean look at him. He looked like someone who had a lot of experience. Notice the girls? They drool over him." Lea commented.
"And besides, you’re going to marry him. At least you know you will end up with him. I had sex with my boyfriend, but still unsure of him." Samantha said. 𝐟𝕣𝕖𝐞𝐰𝕖𝚋𝐧𝗼𝚟𝐞𝕝.𝗰𝐨𝐦
She still couldn’t believe that they were talking about sex like normal. She didn’t have to tell anyone what she and Caden did. Her friends didn’t need to tell her if they already had sex with someone. She believed it was a private matter and Caden wouldn’t be happy if she tell them about their private life.
"Whether we did it or not, I don’t think it’s proper to talk about it." She answered.
She noticed Samantha’s expression change. She wasn’t sure why she felt something different with her friend. Ever since Caden came back, Samantha didn’t talk to her much unlike before. She felt like she was jealous or annoyed with her.
"You’re too innocent. Someday you’ll regret it." Samantha said, raising an eyebrow.
Then she saw her smile and when she turned to her left, Caden was already beside her.
"Here." He said while handing her a peeled and chopped apple.
"I’m fine."
Caden frowned. "Nope. You need to eat more. And this is fruit, it won’t ruin your diet."
She blushed. "I’m not on a diet."
Caden chuckled. "Fine. Just eat it."
He then took a slice of apple and bit the other end between his lips. She was surprised. Did he want him to bite the other end? She thought.
"Bite it." He ordered.
She bit her lip and slowly moved her face closer. But before she could take a bite, someone took it from Caden’s lips.
"Stop being so lovey-dovey, you evil prince."
It was Lucas who took and ate the apple. Beside him was Brie. She noticed that her eyes were swollen and she knew that Brie cried.
The two sat across from them. She glanced at Lucas to check if he knew something about what happened the other day. But based on his reaction, he didn’t know anything yet. It seemed Brie didn’t tell him about their little adventure to Willow Green.
"Prince Caden, are you coming this weekend? You promised last time, but Alira said you two were busy. So are you free on Saturday?" Samantha asked.
Alira saw how Samantha looked at Caden. She was obviously flirting with him. Her eyes and smile looked seductive. Even her voice sounded different.
"Yeah. I think I’m free on Saturday. Alira and I will be there. Maybe Lucas and Brie can come, too." Caden answered.
Lea was surprised and excited to hear Caden invite Lucas. Alira knew Lea was head over heels in love with her brother.
"Nope. I don’t have time for—"
"Oh, come on! We haven’t had a good time ever since I arrived. Let’s have some fun with Alira’s friends." Caden insisted.
Lucas looked at her and then turned to Brie.
"You coming?" He asked Brie.
She saw Brie was surprised, but still managed to answer Lucas.
"Y—Yes!"
Lucas nodded. "Okay. Fine."
Her friends looked happy and excited when Caden and Lucas left.
"Alira, I’ll see you later," Brie said and immediately followed Lucas.
She nodded and smiled at her.
"So, you’re close with the genius girl now?" Cassy asked.
"Well, she’s a nice girl. I like her." She sincerely answered.
"Do you like her to be your brother’s girlfriend?" Lea suddenly asked.
She didn’t expect Lea to ask her about Brie and Lucas. She knew Lea liked her brother for a long time, but she didn’t take it seriously. She thought it was just a simple admiration.
"Lea, whoever Lucas chooses as his girlfriend, I will support him. I like Brie because she didn’t do anything wrong. She’s an honest girl. And I like you because we’ve been friends for years now." She said.
Lea pouted. "I know. I’m just jealous because she’s always with your brother. I don’t even know why Lucas allow her to stay beside him."
She also wondered why. Lucas repeatedly rejected Brie, but she felt like her brother wasn’t sincere with his rejection. Maybe Brie also feels that Lucas was not honest with himself.
"I don’t know. I never really asked my brother about Brie or any woman." She whispered.
"Enough of that. We’re going out on Saturday and I have invited the guys from last time. Ace is looking forward to seeing you." Samantha exclaimed.
She frowned. "Sam, I don’t think it’s a good idea to invite Ace. I don’t want any conflict between him and Caden."
Samantha rolled her eyes. "I can’t just tell him not to join us. He’s friends with Justin so he will definitely come."
Justin was Samantha’s boyfriend. From what she knew, they were together for three months now. She didn’t know Justin well. She first met him on that group date.
She sighed. "Fine. But please stop teasing me with Ace. I don’t want to have an argument with Caden."
Samantha shrugged her shoulders. "As you wish, princess."
She wasn’t sure if her friends would do what she said. She already had a lot on her mind and she just made up with Caden after their argument in Willow Green. If only she could just tell Caden that she didn’t want to go, but he mentioned he wanted to have some fun with her friends. She wanted him to at least forget the mafia and the royal family even for just a day.
