My Evil Crown Prince-Chapter 56: Brie’s Feelings
Caden handled the situation about Ace quietly. Lucas didn’t need to intervene and let his sister’s fiance took care of her stalker.
"I think we’re done for today. I actually had fun." Caden smiled.
Lucas shook his head because he knew Caden was enjoying everything. "I’ll go ahead. I need to drop by at Wilson Tower." He said.
A black Rolls-Royce car was parked on the side and a man in black suit opened the car door for Lucas.
He then glanced at Brie. "Are you coming?"
Brie’s face lit up. She looked excited and happy because it was the first time he asked her to come.
He didn’t know exactly what to do with her. It was already obvious that he liked her, in fact, he was in love with her. But could she be so dense? He thought inwardly.
Caden teased him every time they would talk about Brie. He told him to confess because maybe Brie thought his actions were because of hate and not love. 𝕗𝐫𝚎𝗲𝘄𝐞𝕓𝐧𝕠𝘃𝕖𝐥.𝐜𝚘𝚖
"Did you have fun?" He asked.
She was quietly sitting beside him, watching the city lights as they passed by the main road of Northbay City.
She bowed her head and clasped her fingers.
"I—I’m sorry about earlier. I didn’t mean to be a bother." She stuttered.
He frowned. Was she talking about when she disappeared with Ace’s friend? He thought to himself.
He sighed. "It’s fine. I don’t care about that."
He wanted to scold himself. He sounded mad and uninterested with what happened earlier. But in reality, he wanted to ask her about it. He wanted to know what she did in the arcade with the other guy and if she enjoyed being with him.
He was jealous. And he never felt insecure or threatened. He was so conceited and was full of himself. He never thought someone would get interested with Brie.
But who doesn’t? She was young, yes. But in her age, she acted so mature. She’s smart and a genius hacker. She had long straight brown hair, a pair of brown eyes, and plump pink lips. Her height was five feet two inches and a body of a grown woman.
"I—I’m really sorry. Karl saw me looking at the arcade and he suddenly pulled me inside. I don’t want to be rude so I let him. I’m sorry, it won’t happen again." She explained.
"He pulled you, meaning he grabbed your hand?" He asked with a frown on his face.
Brie nodded. "Y—Yes. I tried to take my hand away but Karl held me tight. He said I might get lost so—"
"Will you stop saying his name? It’s annoying." He almost yelled.
Brie nodded again and didn’t say a word. He glanced at her, and saw a tear fall from her eyes. He made her cry again. He’s really the worst. He couldn’t tell her what was really in his heart, instead he would tell at her and tell her she was annoying.
He turned his eyes away from her and looked outside. His heart was breaking to see her cry, but he couldn’t comfort her.
"I’ll just check some documents in my office and sign them. You can wait for me in the car, or you can come with me." He said.
"I—I’ll come with you. Can I really enter your office? Are you giving me permission?" She asked.
He turned to her again and saw her face suddenly lit up. How could she be so happy just because she could come inside my office? He thought.
He chuckled. "Yes. You can come in my office any time. As long as you’re not going to be a bother with work."
She nodded and smiled at him. What the hell was that? His heart skipped a beat seeing her smile. He wanted to cross the space between them and kiss her, however, she was too young to experience stuff like that.
"You’ll be fifteen next month, right?" He asked.
Brie nodded. "Yes."
She was happy. He felt it.
"What do you want?"
Brie’s eyes widened. "Are you asking me what I want as a gift?"
He simply nodded. But inside, he was enjoying his conversation with her. He was happy to see her smiling and now, she looked excited.
"Really? Can I ask anything?" She keenly asked.
"Yes. Anything. Do I have to repeat it? Tell me before I change my mind."
"I—I want you!" She suddenly exclaimed.
He was surprised. If she was with a different man, it would sound like she was asking him to sleep with her.
Brie wasn’t stupid and she knew what she just said. Her face turned red and couldn’t look directly into her eyes.
"I’m not asking for that. Don’t think that I want to sleep with you. Well, I want to. But not now. I’m too young for that!"
"Will you stop?" He yelled.
Brie pouted and bowed her head again. He sighed. He didn’t want to ruin the night for both of them.
"Look, stop saying that you want to sleep with me. As you said, you’re still young and I’m not even you’re boyfriend. Sleeping with a man should be done like—" He paused and was in deep thought. "After marriage. You’re only allowed to do it once you married the man you want to spend the rest of your life with."
Brie tilted her head and stared into his eyes.
"You’re talking about yourself. You’re that man." She mumbled.
"What?" He frowned.
"You’re the only guy I want to marry. I’ll just be an old maid if you won’t be my husband."
He stared back at her. How could she be so bold? She’s fifteen, but her determination was in a different level.
"What if you met another guy? How can you be so sure of your feelings? What if it was just a puppy love or maybe you felt that way out of guilt because of what happened twelve years ago?" He asked.
Brie shook her head. "You know that’s not true. And my feelings for you would never change. You rejected me a lot of times, sixty-five times if we include tonight. But my heart never falters. I won’t get tired of loving you."
