My Evil Crown Prince-Chapter 55: Challenge
Caden didn’t waste time and took them to Willow Green the next morning. She felt a little nervous because it was the first time she would learn how to defend herself.
They were welcomed by Rock and a long-haired guy called Dwayne. The latter was a bit different from the rest of the men. He was cheerful and talked a lot unlike Rock and the others. Dwayne also looked like a teenager, about the same age as Elijah.
"How old are you, Dwayne?" She asked.
"I’m fourteen, Miss." Dwayne answered.
In her eyes, the boy was more like a K-pop idol than one of the made men. She felt a little sad for him even though she didn’t know his story.
She wanted to ask further but she knew it was against the law of the mafia. Only the boss knows about everyone’s past lives before becoming one of the members of the mafia.
Caden took them to a gym in an old building that looked like a school in Willow Green. She was surprised to see more men inside and were all busy with their training and morning workouts.
A lot of them were shouting and watching two men fight in the center. She looked at Caden with a confused face.
"They do it all the time." He said.
One man approached them and bowed in front of Caden.
"Boss, are you here to spar with us?" The man asked.
"No. I’m here with my fiance, Alira. You didn’t meet her the last time she was here." Caden said.
The man turned to her and as he gave her a cold stare, her heart pounded.
"This is One. He’s in charge of training the men. And these are my friends, Alira’s brother, Lucas, and his girlfriend, Brie."
Lucas glared at Caden, but the latter ignored it and continued his introduction.
"And this is my cousin, Elijah. I want you to teach him how to fight and shoot." Caden ordered.
One, who seemed in his thirties, bowed again. "Yes, Boss! I’ll take care of him."
"And I think we can have a sparring after Bear and Sonny. But not me, him." Caden said while pointing at Lucas.
Lucas frowned. "What the hell, Caden!"
A sudden feeling of fear consumed her. What if something bad happened to Lucas? What would she tell her parents? She thought inwardly.
She looked at Caden with pleading eyes, but he ignored her.
"Why? Are you scared?" He said, provoking him.
Lucas gritted his teeth. She knew he wouldn’t let Caden humiliate him. He’s a Wilson and Brie was with them so he would have to show her his skills in fighting.
Without another word, Lucas unbuttoned his shirt and took it off. Brie stared at him with her eyes widened. Her face was a mixture of shock and excitement.
He faced Brie, giving her his shirt. "You watch me. Not those men!"
Brie didn’t say a word, but she nodded. Caden wanted to laugh because Lucas was being too obvious with his feelings toward Brie.
"I’ll punch you in the face after this." Lucas glared at Caden.
One guided them to the center. Chairs were provided for them to sit to get a better view.
"What if Lucas gets hurt?" She asked.
Caden shook his head. "Nope. Your brother is an amazing fighter."
"What do you mean?"
"We were trained since we were six, remember? He’s good at everything." Caden commented.
Lucas’ opponent was a man with a lion tattoo on his back. She also noticed that he had the same tattoo as Caden, the skull with wings and a piercing sword in the middle. He looked older and was even taller and bigger than Lucas.
The man was the first one to attack Lucas by punching him. But her brother was able to dodge. The man tried again, but Lucas was too fast. On his third attempt, he tried to punch him in the stomach, but he still failed.
He continued his punch, but it all missed. He was panting after a few minutes and they could see Lucas smirking. The man got annoyed and attacked Lucas by running toward him.
But Lucas turned his body sideways and then lifted his right knee. When the man was a few steps away, Lucas straightened his legs, kicking his opponent on his head with a strong thrusting motion.
The men who were shouting earlier, obviously in favor of the man, became quiet when Lucas’ foot landed on the man’s cheek, making him knocked out on the floor.
"See? I told you." Caden had a malevolent smile when he raised his one hand.
She saw One nod and then three men walked toward Lucas. Her eyes widened.
"Caden!" She called.
"Trust your brother. This is just a workout for him. Look at her, she believes in him and just quietly cheering for him."
Caden was talking about Brie. And true to what he said, Brie was holding on to Lucas’ shirt while her eyes were focused on him.
The three men attacked Lucas, but each of them failed and was knocked out by his punch. A few more men swarmed him, but still, no one could match Lucas.
Caden raised his hand again, signaling the men to stop. He stood up, clapping his hands.
"Happy?" Lucas glared at Caden.
"I thought you were busy with paperwork, but I think you have a lot of time to train." Caden commented.
Lucas clicked his tongue. "What do you really want from me, Caden?"
Caden smirked. "You’re sharp. I want A.E Headquarters to work under the Forelli Clan until everything is over."
She was surprised. A.E Headquarters was built by her Dad and his friends, including Caden’s father. But the brain of it was Luke Wilson, her father. Why would Caden want to take over it? She thought inwardly.
"Are you crazy? You know I can’t just hand it to you. A.E is not something that I could lend to someone." Lucas said, clenching his jaw.
"I’m not just someone, Lucas. And I’m going to use it for the safety of everyone." Caden answered calmly.
Lucas shook his head and turned his back to Caden
"Fight me!" Caden yelled.
Lucas turned around. "What?"
"Fight me." Then Caden threw a dagger on the floor in front of Lucas. "If you can make me bleed, then I will give up, but if not, I will take the headquarters from you."
