My Evil Crown Prince-Chapter 63: Preparation
"Are you mad?" She asked Caden after his return.
Caden patted her head. "Why would I? Phoenix asked you to punch her so you just did what you were told. But what exactly happened? Why were you so mad?"
She glared at Caden. "Red was talking nonsense. Telling me about another girl. She said if I won’t learn how to fight, you’ll find another woman to be your wife. I got pissed, that’s all."
"So, you punched Phoenix with the thought that I was with someone else?" Caden asked.
She nodded. "Yes. I was imagining you touching and being touched by another girl. I snapped."
"You’re scary." Caden laughed.
"Yes. So, don’t you dare cheat on me or I’ll kill the girl." She said.
Caden pulled her closer to him and kissed her on the forehead.
"I would never cheat on you." He whispered.
A few knocks on the door interrupted them. Lucas, followed by Brie, came inside.
"We got it." Lucas said, waving a white envelope in his hand.
"Their answer?" Caden asked.
Lucas nodded while handing the envelope to Caden. Her heart pounded as Caden opened the letter.
They had been staying in Willow Green for two days now. Elijah was also training and had better development than her. They already have two things to do. First, attend the antique exhibit of the Garcia Clan. Second, find the dealer of the memory serum.
"We’re in. And look, they sent the list of the guests who confirmed their presence." Caden smirked.
She frowned when she noticed a familiar name on the list.
"Dr. Mary Watkins." She mumbled.
"What?" Caden took a second look at the list. Then he laughed.
"What is it?" Lucas asked, confused.
"Mary Watkins. That’s one of the names who knew about the research of memory serum. Do you think it’s the same person?" She asked.
Caden sat on the swivel chair, crossing his legs while having a malevolent smile on his face.
"Probably. We need to gather all the information about Mary Watkins. Either she’s it, or maybe one of her relatives. Still, we have to be prepared. I think we also have to bring Elijah." Caden responded.
"Why and how? They invited only four of us." Lucas commented.
"We need Mireya to look around the place. I’ll demand to bring a bodyguard inside." Caden said.
"But what if they declined? I’m sure the security would be tight." Brie said.
Caden had a serious aura on his face. "Don’t worry about Elijah. He knew exactly what to do if they wouldn’t allow him to get inside. If that Mary Watkins was one of the researchers, I’m certain she’s with someone who has a connection with the dealer."
"You think so?" Lucas frowned.
Caden nodded. "I’m one of the mafia. The Boss of the Forelli Clan. I know exactly how they move. We just need to confirm two things."
"What is it?" Alira asked, curiosity piqued.
Caden curved his lips. "Mary Watkins’ identity and the Garcia Clan’s true intention."
They stayed in Willow Green until the day of the exhibit. Caden didn’t let them return to Queens because he had a suspicion that they were being watched. He called the Jackson twins to let them know about their plan. He didn’t tell them where they were, but he asked them to use the media and make a story that the four of them were currently out of town.
The day of the event came, and she was a bit restless for what was about to happen. Caden reassured her that everything would be fine and she just had to act natural in front of everyone.
"This is my first time attending an exhibit with a different purpose. I hope we can find what we’re looking for." She said.
Cadens smiled. "I’m sure we will."
Everything was prepared for her. Her dress, her shoes, and even her make-up.
"Did you choose this dress?" She asked Caden when their clothes arrived.
Caden nodded. "I gave them your size, and they sent me some photos."
"My size? And how did you manage to take my measurement?" She asked.
Caden grinned and raised his hands, showing her his palms. "With my hands. I know everything about your body." He winked.
She laughed. "Naughty."
"You know we only have an hour left, so I’ll let you off this time. But after this, I’ll play with you." He said with a wicked smile on his face.
Caden chose a simple white halter top dress for her. It was above the knee-length, not too long and not too short. The white stiletto had an embellishment of Swarovski crystals and fit perfectly on her feet. Phoenix did her make-up and Red fixed her hair.
"You’re stunning, love. I think I don’t want others to see you like this." Caden said, kissing her hand.
She giggled. "Well, I think the feeling is mutual. I don’t want the girls to see you."
Caden looked so handsome and fresh. He was wearing a white shirt topped with a black coat paired with a black slim-fit jeans.
"They can drool over your fiance, but I’m already taken." He said.
Rock came and informed them that everything’s prepared and some of the men were gathered outside, waiting for their Boss’ instruction.
Caden told them everything they found so far and instructed them to prepare for war with an unknown underground organization. She looked at Caden’s men and they seemed excited rather than feeling scared.
"Are we going to use my car?" Lucas asked.
Caden shook his head. "No. That one."
A Rolls-Royce car stopped in front of them and inside was Stephen Jackson. Its exterior was a stunning blue hue and in carbon fiber finish.
"Is this custom-made?" Lucas asked.
Caden proudly nodded. "It’s Uncle Kyle’s gift, the official royal car of the Crown Prince of Flousia. I have to use it for events like this. We’re undercover anyway, so let’s show them what we got."
Mixed emotions filled her heart when they stepped into the car and drove away from Willow Green.
