My Favorite Game Followed Me!-Chapter 673
Chapter 673
Anton knew that Raymond would handle his four wizard semi-apprentices slash employees with care. Nevertheless, he told Raymond to introduce the whole manor to the four well since once they came to power, they would be the manor’s wizard guardians.
He also told the butler to make sure that every member of the family was introduced to Kirk, Mesono, Abdul, and Omar, so they would know who not to disrespect, and he also reiterated that the four grew up part of the poor families in New Drennor, which led to the unspoken information that they were uneducated, much like Anton and Anna were uneducated when they left their farm.
If Anton was being honest, Anton could still be considered uneducated in the ways of noble etiquette. Much more so than Anna, who had been under the tutelage of her teachers in the magic academy. The only reason why he could get away with his lack of education was, first, he was somewhat of an introvert and was not unruly, and second, he was so powerful that his lack of noble etiquette would probably be considered as an acceptable behavior of one of the powerful mages.
Thankfully, Raymond simply kept nodding while listening to Anton’s instructions, even though the butler had already mentioned that he knew what to do. He knew he was being a busybody, but he did not care. Once the conversation was done, Anton said goodbye to the four, and Raymond instructed them to follow him.
Once everyone left, Anton returned to his room in New Drennor. It was still early, around ten in the morning. He went outside the inn after waving at Ishmael, who was manning the counter. He had decided to check out of the inn and spend the last two days alone.
Anton planned to spend the day watching the remaining acts he had not seen yet, and tomorrow he planned to explore the sea near the high-end resort where they had gone before. He truly enjoyed watching the magical places under the sea. Truth be told, he was only exploring the places near the resort since he was not brave enough to go out into the ocean fully.
Anton knew that he was powerful and was probably going to be able to defend himself from anything the ocean could throw at him, but exploring the extremely large space of the ocean brought some kind of illogical fear in him. He then thought that maybe he had a touch of Agoraphobia.
When he arrived at the location where the street performers performed their acts, he headed directly to the last plaza that he had not explored yet. While watching the first act that he saw, which was some kind of puppet show for children, Rhonda, Zelon, and Misul arrived and stood beside him. They waited until the act was done.
“We thought you’d come in the afternoon?” Rhonda asked.
Anton just shrugged and said that his business was completed earlier.
“I only have two days left in my vacation. I plan to spend the day watching the performances in this plaza, and my last day tomorrow exploring the depths of the ocean.”
“What do you mean?” Misul asked.
“You know I’m a wizard, right? I will cast an underwater breathing spell on myself, and that will allow me to explore under the sea. When I did it before a few days ago, I found a ton of treasure,” Anton answered.
Rhonda, Misul, and Zelot still looked unbelieving. They persisted in assuming that Anton was just an ordinary mage apprenticed to a rich wizard. He simply shrugged since he did not need them to believe him as long as they guided him in watching all the performances to the best of their abilities, and they did well in doing so during the next few hours.
They brought him to each of the acts that were just starting and introduced what kind of performance it was, who the actors were, a little history of the acts, and more.
At around noon, he told the three that he was hungry, so they brought him to a nearby restaurant. He knew that the place where they brought him was probably one of the more expensive restaurants. Anton did not care as long as the food was good.
When the food arrived, Anton had to admit that he was impressed, so he ordered a lot more with the intention of storing them in his inventory. Rhonda and her two cohorts were not shy at all and ate a lot. Rhonda kept saying with a full mouth that his “master” was really rich.
After they were done eating and the food that Anton ordered arrived and was stored in his inventory, they returned to watching the acts. He was still generous in throwing out gold coins to the astonishment of his three guides. He knew that they were counting how much he was spending that day, but he just let them be.
He did notice one thing different. The performers were not looking at him in fear anymore, but with indulgence. Anton asked Rhonda what happened, and they admitted that they had told everyone that I’m not some powerful wizard but apprenticed to a very rich wizard. Regarding the thugs that accosted him before, they simply did not believe the stories.
At around four in the afternoon, Anton had seen all of the performances.
“Are you planning to return to your inn?” Rhonda asked.
“No. I checked out from there. I don’t know where to stay tonight,” Anton admitted.
“You can stay in our caravan,” Misul offered, and he accepted.
Anton was familiar with living in caravans since he had a lot of experience doing so back in Rendindura. Besides, he was interested in how and where the performers live.
He noticed that Rhonda looked antsy, though, and realized that she was waiting for their payments. Anton just smiled and handed three gold coins to each of the three, which brought huge smiles to their faces.
“Your master is truly rich!” Rhonda repeated, which made her companions’ eyes roll. Even Zelot and Misul were getting tired of her repeating the tiresome phrase.
They led him to a place where they needed to walk for about an hour. The place was some sort of park, and inside there were tens of large, enclosed wagons that were the permanent homes of the performers.
“Are all the performers part of this caravan?” Anton asked the three.
“No. About half. The rest were wandering performers,” Zelot replied.
Since it was still early in the afternoon, Anton saw that most of the people were busy doing different chores like cleaning, cooking, sewing, and more. The three brought Anton in one of the wagons and learned that it was where Zelot and his father lived. Rhonda lived on the wagon beside it together with her family, consisting of her and three siblings and her mother and father, and Misul was the one beside hers together with his four siblings and his parents.
“Father, can my friend stay for the night?” Zelot asked a man tending a large pot suspended over a fire. Zelot’s father was missing a leg.
“Of course. My name’s Kelot,” Zelot’s father smiled, inviting Anton to sit on the chair near the fire.
“Thanks, sir. In return, I can regenerate your leg,” Anton said, which made Rhonda, Misul, Zelot, and his father’s eyes widen.
“What do you mean?” Zelot whispered.
“I told you I’m a powerful wizard. I can heal your father’s leg,” Anton simply said, and to prevent any more talk and confusion, since he was sitting beside Zelot’s father, he simply added the man in his party system, touched his arm, which he did not need to do, and activated his Prayer Aura.
