My Harem Will Help Me Get My Revenge-Chapter 35: They enjoy watching each other sleep.
Chapter 35: They enjoy watching each other sleep.
Chapter - 35
About 8 o’clock in the night,
Lucius was fast asleep on the bed, while Iris sat on the couch nearby, going through some files. Her eyes moved between the pages, but her attention kept drifting back to Lucius.
’He said he would help me,’ Iris shook her head in amusement, ’He is...’
He looked peaceful... Even handsome in sleep. She stared at him for a moment longer before turning her attention back to the files.
Soon she was done going through them. She stacked the papers neatly and pushed them aside with a small sigh.
Her body felt tired, so she stretched her arms. Then, without thinking much, she stood up and walked over to the bed.
She leaned down, watching Lucius’s face closely. Her fingers reached up and gently touched his cheek, almost feeling the warmth of his body.
For a moment, she looked at him silently... and then quickly pulled her hand away, like she had just woken up from a strange dream.
"From the day I laid my eyes on you that day," she whispered, frowning. She shook her head and stepped away, "Why do I feel this inside me?"
Wanting some fresh air, she grabbed her purse, and then quietly opened the door and slipped outside.
Wanting some fresh air, she grabbed her purse, and then quietly opened the door and slipped outside.
As she walked down the hallway towards the elevator. Just before she reached it, another woman turned from the corner wearing a long black coat and a scarf that covered half her face.
The two women brushed against each other, and both of their purses fell to the floor.
"Oh! I am so sorry," the woman said quickly in her sharp voice and muffled behind the scarf. She bent down and started picking up the things.
"It’s alright," Iris replied, bending down too.
The woman handed back Iris’s purse and gave her a quick nod before hurriedly walking away. Iris glanced at her for a second but didn’t think much of it. She stepped into the elevator and pressed the button for the ground floor.
Meanwhile, the woman continued walking... Room Number 810... 808... 806... the woman passed by rooms as she continued towards the end of the hallway.
Her pace slowed when she reached Room Number 802. She stared at the door for a moment, and then reached into her coat pocket and pulled out a key card...
It was the room key for Iris’s room. The woman had quietly taken from Iris during their small collision.
She slid the card through the lock.
Click.
The green light blinked.
The door opened and the woman stepped inside without a sound and closed the door quietly behind her with a soft click.
Once she was alone, the woman removed the scarf, revealing her face. She was none other than Cassey. Her eyes were gleaming with joy as if she was finally standing in front of something she had dreamed about for too long.
Her gaze was locked onto the bed. Lucius lay there, fast asleep, his face calm and unaware.
Slowly, taking her time, Cassey walked toward him. And as she reached the bed, she sat down at the edge of the bed, barely making a sound.
Her fingers hovered just above his face... Not touching it and only tracing the air around his skin like she was memorizing every inch.
"I feel like I have waited so long for this," she whispered, her voice shaky but soft.
She leaned in closer as her breath trembled, "You still smell the same," she murmured, smiling to herself.
Her eyes softened as her lips brushing against his forehead in a slow, lingering kiss, "I hope you won’t mind," she murmured with a small smile.
Her eyes moved down to his chest. Slowly, with shaking fingers, she began to undo the top few buttons of his shirt. His skin peeked through. She stared.
"I shouldn’t... but I want to. But no... Not now. Just a little longer. We will be together soon," she whispered.
Lucius stirred in his sleep, and Cassey froze as she quickly pulled her hands back and held her breath.
But when he didn’t wake up, she stood up and looked around the room carefully.
"I just need to make some preparations for that bitch."
Her eyes scanned every corner and every object of the room. Then she spotted a small table near the wall. On it was a decorative art piece. Cassey smirked as she saw it.
From her purse, she took out a tiny black camera and with careful hands, she placed it behind the art piece, tucking it perfectly out of sight.
"Having money is such a nice thing," Cassey grinned, "Now I will know everything," she whispered.
"Where you go. What you say. What she does to you. I will know everything."
"I will be back soon, handsome. Next time, I won’t just watch... I will make sure we finish that thing we couldn’t that day you."
"And that bitch, She needs to know who you belong to."
With one last long look, she covered her face with the scarf again, placed the key card safely into her purse, and silently slipped out of the room like she was never there.

Iris walked through the streets of Udaipur as the cold breeze blew through her hair, carrying the scent of spicy street food.
She did not walk far from the hotel, along the glowing lake. She watched people laughing and playing with one another as the sound of distant temple bells calmed her. She couldn’t tell why, but it soothed her heart.
She needed space to think. And her time out actually helped clear her mind. So by the time she reached the hotel, she did not even notice, but more than an hour had already passed.
"Hmmm...." Iris frowned as her hand reached into her purse for the room key... But it wasn’t there. She checked her jacket, but it wasn’t there as well.
Did she drop it somewhere? Outside? She tried to recall where she had taken something out of her purse. But she couldn’t remember.
After a frustrated sigh, she headed down to the front desk.
"I lost my room key," she told the receptionist, "Can I have another?"
"No worries, ma’am. You just need to confirm a few details," the receptionist said with a polite nod. And after the formalities were done, the receptionist walked along with Iris.
Soon, they were back on the 8th floor. The receptionist swiped the room key and opened the door for her.
"Thanks," Iris said, as she took the key and stepped inside the room.
But something felt off. Her eyes searched for Lucius as soon as she entered the room. But he wasn’t there. His phone was on the bed. But Lucius... Odd.
"Lucius?" she called out.
Just then, the bathroom door creaked open. Lucius stepped out, towel around his neck, shirtless, water still dripping from his hair.
Seeing him, Iris instinctively let out a relieved sigh. frёewebnoѵel.ƈo๓
"What’s with that face?" he asked, tilting his head.
"And what’s with you roaming around shirtless?" Iris asked, turning her face away. Iris muttered, "And wear a damn shirt next time."
Lucius grinned without turning, "Didn’t hear you complain last time when I walked out of the shower."
"You were actually stealing glances."
"You wish," Iris scoffed at his words.
"So where did you go? I woke up and didn’t find you," Lucius grinned, "Do you know how worried I was?"
Iris sat on the chair, crossing her legs, "Nothing. I was out for a walk."
"Alone?" He smirked, "In this romantic city?"
She rolled her eyes, "I needed air and someone snored like a broken engine."
Lucius laughed as he walked over, and casually got onto the bed, "Well, I have already had my dinner and I ordered some for you as well. I am going to sleep. Join me when you are done stuffing yourself," Lucius winked, patting the bed beside him.
Iris snapped her gaze to him, "Hey! What do you think you are doing?"
"What? I am just getting in bed?" he replied, acting innocent.
"You can’t sleep on the bed. That’s for me," Iris answered as a matter of factly.
"This is a King sized bed, " Lucius scoffed, "Where exactly do you want me to go? The floor?"
She pointed at the sofa, "That’s your side of the room, Mr Romeo."
Lucius stared at the narrow sofa, then at Iris, his eyes juggling between the two, "Are you serious? That thing won’t even hold my thigh. How the hell am I supposed to fit in there?"
"Not my problem," she shrugged, as she got up and walked towards the bed.
He shrugged, "Cool," and flopped right onto the bed, like it was his throne.
Iris looked annoyed, "Excuse me? Are you deaf? I said we are not sharing the bed."
"I am happy to let you join," Lucius smirked, "But if it’s such a big deal, you go sleep on the couch."
"Agghhh... You arrogant jerk," she felt like pulling his hair. She angrily pulled the pillow from beneath her and stomped off to the couch anyway, grumbling the whole way.
"Good night, Boss," Lucius called out from behind, "Sweet dreams."
"Shut up!"
Soon a couple of hours passed and Lucius’s eyes snapped open, staring at the ceiling, "Damn it, I can’t sleep now."
He sat up and glanced toward the couch. Iris was curled up tight like a cold cat, halfway slipping off the edge. And then she actually tipped.
"Whoa... Shit... Wait!"
Lucius jumped out of bed and caught her mid-fall. His arms wrapped around her just in time. Her head rested against his chest, lips parted and still sound asleep.
He blinked, looking down at her face, "You’re impossible," he whispered with a tired smirk.
Slowly, he laid her back on the couch, pulled the blanket up, and stood there for a long second, looking at her.
"Acting tough, but looking so cute," Lucius smiled.
"If only you would just tell me the truth," Lucius shook his head.
He had a general idea that whatever she told him was a lie. It was a bucket load of crap that she was feeding him. He has seen the look of disdain in her aunt’s voice and the surprise on those at the company whom apparently he should know.
Lucius folded his arms, "You are hiding something. And I need to know what."
He paced a bit in the room, then glanced at her again. A grin tugged at his lips.
"If the surprise of ’Plan A’ won’t work. I need the subtle ’Plan B’." Lucius muttered to himself, "Forget interrogating you... I will just win your heart."
He looked at the hard floor beside the couch and his hand reached for his back.
"Old-school move. Sleep on the floor like a love struck puppy. Let her wonder why," And a sinister grin curled up on his face.
So Lucius moved and picked up his pillow and blanket, placed them carefully next to the couch, and lay down on the cold, hard floor, just beside her. It was uncomfortable, but he was willing to do so for the larger plan.
He pulled the blanket over himself and planned in his head, ’Step one: make the queen wonder what I am up to. Let’s see who gives in first.’
Then he shut his eyes with a small, sneaky smile.
Tomorrow was a new day, with a new plan in action.
