My Harem Will Help Me Get My Revenge-Chapter 34: Love, Lust or Just a Conquest?
Chapter 34: Love, Lust or Just a Conquest?
Chapter - 34
"This is your room, ma’am. The best we have. Quiet, private, and with a great view of Lake Pichola," The hotel manager led them to the room.
Iris walked inside and looked around. The room was amazing... Golden-white furniture, soft lights, and a large balcony that gave a perfect view of the breath-taking lake.
"It is good," Iris said, nodding.
She paused and turned to the manager, "Take him to his room."
"His room?" The manager blinked as he looked into his iPad, "But ma’am... it seems you have only made reservations for one room."
"I didn’t?" Iris sighed and rolled her eyes a little, "Maybe I forgot. He’s with me. So can you get him another room?" she said, pointing to Lucius.
Lucius raised an eyebrow but didn’t speak.
The manager quickly smiled and nodded, "No problem, ma’am. We will prepare another room for you. It’s just that it won’t be on this floor."
But Lucius stopped him, shaking his head, "Wait," he said, "We don’t need another room."
Iris frowned, "Lucius..."
"No, listen," Lucius said, giving a serious look, "The view from the balcony is amazing. Why would I leave this? And besides, it’s better we stay together anyway."
Iris looked at him, clearly not happy about it, but Lucius was already holding his ground. He went on with more reasons.
"You see, if I stay in another room on another floor, you could have an issue with the room service, who’s going to carry your bags or if we have to work on something. It would just be a hassle."
"You can barely keep up with me. How can you help me?" Iris crossed her arms, rolling her eyes, " And I can carry my own bags."
"Doesn’t matter," Lucius said, nodding and turned towards the manager, "So it’s better we stay together. Also, this suite is big enough for two people, right?"
The manager, a little confused by their conversation, agreed, "The Maharaja suite is more than enough space for both of you."
Lucius smiled at that, "Perfect, no need to go through all the trouble for another room. We will stay here."
Iris glanced at him, a little annoyed but not wanting to argue in front of the manager anymore. She looked at the manager and said, "You can go for now. We will let you know later. Just make sure everything is perfect."
The manager quickly nodded and left, eager to avoid any further questions.
Lucius sat on the couch with a smirk, acting like a cocky king, "See? This works out fine. No need for two rooms. It’s the Maharaja suite, after all. I am sure we’ll be comfortable."
Iris shot him a side glance, not at all amused, "You are getting a bit too comfortable."
Lucius grinned, "Hehehe..."
Iris sighed as she watched him shamelessly giggle. Ignoring him, she walked toward the balcony, staring out at the beautiful lake in front of her. Her expression was unreadable, but Lucius could tell she wasn’t very pleased with the situation.
Or maybe she was thinking about the deal. But this deal. Lucius didn’t really know why they were so after this deal or even the hotel business.
Levain Industries did not do this trivial hotel, food, or diaper business. They were the monsters who dealt with fire power.
Guns... Bombs... Tanks... Helicopters... Each one bigger, louder and deadlier. They made the cities crumble. War isn’t chaos for them. It was an act they have mastered to choreograph.
Lucius grinned, as he followed behind Iris to the balcony, "See? Isn’t it just awesome? Me, you and this view? Would you be able to enjoy it with me if I wasn’t here?"
Iris rolled her eyes, turned around and dropped onto the sofa, removing the scarf from her neck, "I am already exhausted. Don’t bother me."
Lucius turned to her, "Go freshen up first. I will go after you. Then we can rest before we start working."
"Or maybe to save time, we can both..."
"No!" Iris stood up, and walked away to the washroom, closing the door behind her.
Lucius chuckled as he lay down on the bed.
’Should I try again?’ He thought.
He wasn’t just thinking about teasing her. Deep inside, he wanted her to talk.
She was the only person who knew about his past. His real past. The things he could not remember.
He thought... Maybe, just maybe... If he pushed her a little, she would open up. Or maybe she would make him open up.
A part of him wanted that.
After a few minutes, the bathroom door creaked open.
Iris stepped out, wrapped in a soft white bathrobe, her damp hair cascading over her shoulders. Droplets of water clung to her skin, sliding down her collarbone before disappearing beneath the fabric.
She didn’t look at Lucius as she grabbed a towel to dry her hair.
Lucius sat up on the bed, watching her. His eyes followed her as she walked toward the table, picking up a towel.
"Feeling fresh now?" He asked.
Iris didn’t respond. She continued drying her hair, the fresh scent of her shampoo filling the air.
Lucius frowned, "Ignoring me again? What is it this time?"
Iris didn’t look at him, "Nothing," she muttered, still not turning towards him.
Lucius sighed, frustrated. Without saying anything, he stood up and walked toward her. Before she could step away, he gently took her wrist and pulled her against the wall. His body was close... so close that air couldn’t pass between them.
Iris took a deep breath, her back against the cool wall, "Lucius..."
He didn’t move, his eyes locked onto hers, "Tell me," he whispered.
Iris’s heart beat faster, but she wasn’t affected. She stood there, calm. His body was close, but she didn’t let it get to her.
Lucius’s fingers brushed her nape lightly, but she barely reacted.
"Still not going to talk?" he asked, his lips dangerously close to her ear.
Iris’s pulse quickened, but she wasn’t trapped.
She smirked slightly, looking at him with amusement, "Again with the act? I told you top stop playing these games with me," she said, her voice calm.
"Not even a little intrigued?" he asked with a helpless smile, "It works on anyone but you."
Iris raised an eyebrow, still smirking, "You really think I would fall for this?" she said, her voice light, "Stop wasting your time."
Iris turned away, walking towards the bed, "It’s cute, I would give you that. But it won’t work on me."
Ring! Ring!
At that moment, her phone rang and she answered, speaking casually, "Yes? Hmm... Okay. I will handle it."
’Why wasn’t I working for that Cassey girl, it would have been so easy,’ Shaking his head in disappointment, he stepped into the bathroom to cool himself off. And maybe think of another devious plan to make her speak.
Outside, Iris ended the call with an amused smile playing on her lips.

Cassey’s flight finally landed after almost 17 hours in the air. Her legs were stiff, her back sore, but her mind was sharp and focused.
As the plane slowed on the runway, she stretched her neck and rolled her shoulders. The long journey didn’t matter; she had a score to settle with Iris.
She stepped out of the airport just as the sun was starting to set. The sky was painted orange and pink, but Cassey was barely in the mood to appreciate it. Her heels clicked against the pavement as she walked out with confidence, pulling her suitcase quickly.
She moved to one side and pulled out her phone and dialed a number. The call soon connected quickly.
"Hello, ma’am," a male voice greeted her politely.
"Where are they staying?" Cassey asked calmly, her tone firm but smooth.
"I have already sent the details to you," After a pause, the man told her.
Cassey’s lips curved into a small smirk. Her fingers gripped the phone tighter, "Got it," she said, then hung up.
Without wasting a second, she walked out and flagged down a taxi. The driver helped with her bags, placing them in the trunk. Cassey sat inside, and as the car began to move, her mind wandered.
When the taxi pulled up in front of the hotel, Cassey stepped out and adjusted her sunglasses. She took a deep breath and walked inside.
The receptionist looked up with a polite smile, "Welcome, ma’am. How can I help you?"
"I need a room," Cassey said, sliding her card forward, "For one week."
The receptionist typed quickly, then nodded. She quickly got the details from Cassey and after the formalities were done, she smiled looking at Cassey.
"Room 702. Seventh floor," The receptionist spoke as she handed over the key card.
"My luggage?"
"I will have someone escort you to your room, madam" The receptionist smiled and gestured towards a boy.
The bellboy took her luggage and led her to the elevator. Cassey stood still, her hands clasped neatly in front of her, but her mind was racing.
’Now to figure out in which room they are staying. Once I know that, I can move accordingly,’
Cassey reached the seventh floor, walked into her room, and waited until the bellboy placed her suitcase inside. Nodding at Cassey with a smile, the bellboy turned to leave, but she stopped him.
"Wait," she said sweetly. "Can I ask you for a small favour?"
The boy paused, "How can I help you, madam?"
Cassey pulled out her phone and showed the hotel worker a photo of Lucius and Iris. She had taken this photo sneakily, but their faces were clear.
"These are my friends, and I am here to surprise them," she said with a sweet smile, "Can you tell me which room they are in?"
The bellboy looked uncomfortable, "I am sorry, ma’am. I can’t give out that information. It’s against hotel policy."
Cassey’s smile didn’t fade. She walked closer to the boy and slowly took out a thick bundle of cash and placed it in his hand without saying a word.
He stared at the money, then looked around nervously. After a moment, he leaned in and whispered, "Room 802."
Cassey smirked, "Good boy," she leaned in and planted a soft kiss on his cheeks.
The boy was left flustered by her move and he hurried out, avoiding eye contact as he left. Cassey closed the door behind him and walked to the window. The sky outside was glowing orange from the setting sun, and the lake sparkled below.
She stood silently for a moment, then she looked up and spoke to herself, "Room 802. Right above me. Perfect."
She sat at the small desk and opened her tablet, "I will find out where they go, what time they leave, and who they talk to. Then I will show up. By accident."
"That woman... She doesn’t deserve him," Cassey leaned back in her chair, her eyes still locked on the window, "He will be mine. Along with everything you have."
Was it Love, Lust or Just a Conquest?
