Chapter 66: [Chapter - 58] - Uno Reverse
Chapter - 58
Lucius kept smiling as he aimed the gun straight at Elena’s head.
She didn’t flinch. She stared back, calm, but her eyes filled with disdain and anger.
This was the same guy she tried to save just a few minutes back. And now he was standing in front of her with a smile, ready to take his shot.
The Predator watched closely, a wild grin stretched across his wrinkled face. The masked men behind him leaned forward, eager, ready for blood. The police officers, still kneeling with their hands behind their heads, shut their eyes tight.
And then, Lucius slowly pulled the trigger.
BANG!
The gunshot echoed like thunder.
Predator’s smile widened as he heard the gun go off. The smile on his face held for a second more, and then... it faded.
His eyes narrowed. Confusion. Then realization.
Lucius looked at him, wide-eyed and innocent, like he had no idea what just happened.
Then he smirked.
And Elena was still breathing. A thin, sharp gust had brushed past her cheek.
The bullet had missed her by inches... So close that it ruffled her blonde hair, and a few strands floated down.
There was silence.
"I am nothing like you," he said with a laugh, "Bitch."
The Predator looked at Lucius saying nothing, waiting for his response.
Lucius spun the gun in his hand casually like a toy, then pointed the barrel at the ground.
"You are gay, old man. I am perfectly straight. Why would I give up beauties like her... for someone who is more into poles than holes?"
Elena blinked, her eyes darting to Lucius, stunned. She had accepted the end of her life, and yet she was still alive.
’Why?’
The Predator’s face twitched. Some of the masked men growled under their breath. One even stepped forward in anger.
Lucius raised a hand without looking at them. "Relax, fellas. You will hurt your skirts with all that tension."
He turned to Predator again.
"You are not a hunter," Lucius said, stepping closer, casual. "You are just a lonely, horny freak in denial."
"A sicko who plays dress-up with guns and wants to be feared because daddy didn’t love him enough."
"Oopsie!!! Daddy who couldn’t love his son enough."
He leaned in.
"You want to be God. But all I see... is a dude who can’t get laid without chloroform."
The masked men were visibly angry now, gripping their guns.
The Predator, though, stayed still.
Then... he smiled again. Slower this time. His fingers twitched on his gun.
"You have a very bad... bad mouth, you little shit," Predator said softly.
Lucius grinned. "I know. That’s why you like me."
Lucius took a step back and turned towards Elena, completely ignoring the furious stares of the masked men and the deadly silence in the air.
He tilted his head, smiled at her, and asked calmly, "Hey, Elena... Why don’t you invite me to dinner."
She blinked, unsure if she heard him right.
"What...?"
Lucius smiled wider, like it was the most normal thing in the world, "If you invite me over for dinner, I will kill everyone here and protect you and your little bunnies."
The room fell silent. Even the soft whimpering of a wounded officer nearby stopped.
The masked men looked at each other, confused, and then... They all burst into laughter.
One of them clutched his stomach and laughed so hard he had to lean on a desk.
Another slapped the back of the man next to him.
"Fuck did he say? Hahahaha... Did he just say dinner?"
"Oh man, what is he on? Drugs?"
"I fucking want them... Hey boy... Get me a batch.... Hahahaha..."
Someone called out sarcastically, "Want some candles and wine with that too, Romeo?"
A few even whistled mockingly at Elena.
Lucius just stood there, smiling like he hadn’t heard a single word.
The police officers kneeling on the floor glanced at each other in defeat. One of them shook his head slowly. Another closed his eyes and muttered a quiet prayer.
"This is it," one whispered. "We are done. It’s over."
Even Elena looked like she couldn’t believe what Lucius just said. Her lips parted slightly, her brow furrowed.
"Lucius... what are you doing?"
He didn’t look at her. He was still watching the laughing crowd. Calm. Steady.
Then, he finally turned his head back to her.
"Well the choice is simple..." he asked again, softly, "Dinner or not?"
Elena felt her heart race under his gaze. The way he looked at him was so tender, yet so overbearing. Her fingers trembled slightly. Her heart pounded inside her chest like a drum.
And she could not bring herself to say no.
The Predator, watching from behind his men, didn’t laugh.
He just smiled... A curious smile.
Elena looked at Lucius, her lips tight, her jaw clenched.
She didn’t want to play along. Not here. Not in front of everyone.
But she also had no choice.
There were twenty masked killers around them. The Predator was watching like a lion waiting to pounce. The other police officers were helpless, waiting to die.
So she took a deep breath... and said in a low voice, "Fine... Lucius. Would you... like to have dinner with me?"
Lucius blinked and leaned in slightly, putting a hand behind his ear, "Hmm? What was that? You sounded like you were being forced. Try again. Make me feel wanted."
Elena’s eyes narrowed. Her teeth gritted hard.
This guy.
This bastard.
But she knew what was at stake. She inhaled deeply, swallowed her pride, and stepped closer.
This time, her voice was softer, warmer, though clearly forced.
"Lucius," she said, forcing a little smile, and saying every word with great emphasis, "would you please come to dinner with me...? I would love it, if you did."
Lucius tilted his head and gave her a big grin.
"There we go," Lucius said, like a teacher praising a student. "That’s more like it."
And with a wicked smirk, he leaned closer to Elena and whispered, "Do it..."

Whisper Veil Activated...
Time limit: 2 minutes...
"Make it rain, Master."
Suddenly, Lucius’s body shimmered with bright light... Everyone in the room had their eyes blinded.
The bright light lasted for about ten seconds and when they could see again, Lucius had already vanished.
One of the masked men blinked. "Where the hell did he go?"
Another laughed, "Is this some circus magic?"
Before he could finish, his head twisted unnaturally to the side with a sickening crack, his neck snapped clean. His body dropped lifelessly to the floor.
Chaos followed.
The air grew heavy, thick, and cold. The lights above flickered. Some dimmed completely.
From nowhere, blood spurted out of another man’s throat, as if sliced open by an invisible blade. He screamed, gurgled, and then fell.
Panic exploded through the room. "He’s behind us!" one screamed, turning his rifle wildly.
"No, there—!"
SHLUKK!
A knife-like object pierced through another man’s chest, emerging through his ribs. It was yanked back with force, and he collapsed forward, coughing blood.
All they saw was air.
Invisible death.
One tried to run—Lucius’s hand appeared for just a second, grabbing the man by the ankle and dragging him into the shadows behind the wall. The sounds that came next were horrifying—bones crunching, and blood splurting.
When the body was flung back out, it was hardly human anymore.
The police officers who had lost hope... now sat in pure silence. Some still had their eyes closed, trembling. Others peeked through their fingers, watching the scene in front of him unable to understand a thing...
The masked men began firing blindly in all directions. Bullets ricocheted off walls and chairs. Glass shattered.
But nothing hit Lucius, and they continued to drop one by one.
Heads exploded. Arms were ripped off.
Someone screamed as Lucius shoved a barrel into his mouth and pulled the trigger, blowing out the back of his skull. The walls were painted red. Blood splattered on Elena’s face, and even she flinched despite all her training.
"WHAT IS THIS?! WHERE IS HE?!" one of the last masked men screamed. He turned to run—
But slipped.
On intestines.
Lucius didn’t even give him time to get up. A boot crushed his skull into the floor.
There were only two left now.
One raised his gun, but before he could aim, something wet slid across his throat. He dropped his gun, clutching at the deep gash as blood poured like a fountain. He stumbled for a second, then fell backward, his eyes wide open in frozen fear.
The last man just stood there, paralyzed. He pissed himself.
"I... I didn’t mean to... Please... Please spare m..."
Lucius slowly became visible behind him, as if peeling out of the darkness itself. Covered in blood, shirt half torn, his smile wide and twisted.
He leaned in and whispered in the man’s ear, "We will meet in hell some day, little boy..."
Then he stabbed a jagged piece of glass into the man’s eye.
The silence that followed was horrifying.
Only the sound of dripping blood.
Elena stood there, breathless. Her hands trembled. Her uniform was stained red.
Lucius stood at the center of the massacre. Blood at his feet. His eyes glowing slightly from the System boost. He didn’t look like a man.
He looked like a demon.
And then... a slow clap.
Predator.
He was still standing, untouched. Watching everything.
He clapped with a grin, though there was tension behind it.
"Well, well," he said. "You really are something special, aren’t you?"
Lucius didn’t reply.
He vanished again.
Predator turned, eyes narrowed, looking for Lucius when a cold breath grazed his ear.
"Looking for me, Daddy?"
