My Life In A Fantasy, Women-Dominated World-Chapter 161: The Stealth Tribe
’Don’t puke. Don’t puke. You’re not nauseous, you’re strong. You will be the next greatest elder, calm down! Deep breaths...’
Alyssa was wheezing, sitting on her knees as she gasped huge drags of air.
After Aaron managed to achieve the impossible and reach the stealth tribe in just 45 minutes of unhindered sprint, Alyssa felt like passing out.
She was there.
Sitting on his shoulder, begging him to slow down or stop running but he didn’t listen.
All he did was make the chains around her waist even tighter, which made it even worse for her as the wind caused her upper body to flail around while the lower body remained stationary on his shirt.
Which brought us to here as she gave herself a pep talk, trying her best not to vomit.
It took a couple minutes to calm down, and by the time she did, Aaron was already looking over the tribe of mushfolks.
These newer mushfolks appeared to be much different than Alyssa’s tribe, as these ’stealthy’ fellas had a unique bodytype.
In a way, they were like turtles, but instead of shells, they had mushrooms.
Their tiny limbs would pop out of small openings in a mushroom, making it difficult to tell which mushroom was a tribesman and which mushroom was an actual mushroom.
They were unique and Aaron was certain that this tribe must be among the top, since the ability to merge into the background would make them nearly invulnerable in their homeground.
But well, that was against other tribesmen and smaller creatures... not him.
In front of his eyes he could see a few big mushrooms, some of them growing as tall as his knee!
Of course, the one that grew so tall wasn’t that girthy in diameter, appearing more like a thin watchtower than a safe bunker.
Aaron had also converted his linen shirt into a high-necked tshirt, its collar reaching up to his ears as that’s where Alyssa was resting. Near his ear.
He had also made the texture of that area with tinted glass, which would allow Alyssa to watch the battle and surroundings as well as alert Aaron if there was something he should know...
All the while staying hidden as per the agreement.
After drinking two more Narcopaste vials, Aaron was feeling invincible as he saw small turtle like tribesmen scurrying on the floor.
Tiny. Weak. 𝑓𝑟ℯ𝘦𝓌𝘦𝘣𝑛𝑜𝓋𝑒𝓁.𝑐ℴ𝓂
Those were the only two words he could think of, his lips curling into a wide and cold grin as he flexed his right foot.
He pulled it back, building up as much strength as he could... before he let it go.
The bridge of his ankle connected with the base of the mushroom tower, making it snap in an instant, falling over their city or town whatever they liked to call it.
Many smaller, life sized mushrooms exploded out of the taller mushroom, some of them popping out of their shells and tossing some sorts of syringes as well as needles at him.
Sure, their weaponry was tiny for Aaron, but he knew that this same kind of small weaponry had led him to these circumstances, so he wanted to take no chances.
A single thought and it was dealt with.
Dignity of the weak. A skill that shined in swarms... and against the targets that were inherently so weak....?
Each and every mushfolk around Aaron was sent plummeting onto the floor, trying their hardest to get up but being unable to.
"T-The gold m-mushrooms must be in the mushroom building right there." Alyssa’s small and hesitant voice whispered into his ear.
She was obviously mentally scarred, frightened out of her mind as she had just watched one of the most fearful tribes get dealt with so easily.
It barely took him any effort before the mushfolks had fallen onto ground and rendered useless.
Worse yet, even after seeing it in person, Alyssa couldn’t understand how he achieved it!
After all, the small fungi of her race had no concept of mana in their bodies at all.
They fought using their dangerous toxins and narcotic attacks, and as long as one was careful about those, these mushfolks were easier to deal with than bugs.
Aaron hummed, grabbing the cap of the mushroom that Alyssa had just told him about.
It was half the size of his feet to knee, but it was much thicker than the watch tower, nearly the size of Eva’s thighs.
But no matter how large or thick, a mushroom was a mushroom as Aaron easily managed to tear off the mushroom cap from the top, exposing the inner room that was carved within the mushroom.
It was visibly divided into two parts, one was built near the door at front, containing a throne like seat while the other was hidden behind a wall, containing a small amount of growing mushrooms.
They were tiny, unlike the mushrooms in the wild, barely the size of his finger’s one division.
On the throne was a great elder.
Her ’shell’ was built out of the same golden design that Aaron had seen on the great elder’s cap of Alyssa’s tribe.
"Wh–Why? Why does a monster of your capabilities need to harass our small tribe?" The great elder asked with great difficulties, taking her face out of her mushroom shell.
She also appeared like a white mushroom but carved into the shape of a humane face, just like Alyssa.
"Do I need a reason to attack who I want to attack?" Aaron scoffed.
"Y-You can understand me." She whispered, looking at him in shock, "The language of the mushfolks is something only we can speak, which means... you have been fed the orb of communication...
This... this attack wasn’t a random one... was it?"
Aaron was both surprised and impressed that the great elder was able to figure this out so quickly.
Alyssa was shouting in his ear, telling him to keep their tribe’s name hidden otherwise the deal is off.
"Indeed." Aaron’s face curled into a wide smirk, "Give me all the narcopaste in your possession, and do you know something about the forbidden poison that’s brewed using gold shrooms?"
