My Love Debts Are Everywhere!-Chapter 684: I’m His Wife
Chapter 684: I’m His Wife
Leon caught Elina and pulled her into a tight hug, gently rubbing her back.
"It’s alright. Don’t cry like that—I’m here," he said in a soothing tone.
"Hiks! Hiks!" Elina sobbed, burying her face in his stomach.
After a while, she finally calmed down and let go of him.
"Young Master, how did you find me? Isn’t the fog at the edge of the forest really thick?" she asked, wiping away her tears.
Leon smiled and pointed to his right eye.
"I used the Eye of Chaos to see through the fog," he replied.
"The Eye of Chaos?" Elina gasped, staring at his right eye, which had turned black with a crescent-shaped pupil.
It looked beautiful—but also intimidating, as if it could pierce into her soul.
"Wait!" Her eyes widened in horror. "Didn’t the First Elder forbid you from using it?"
Leon gave a small nod. "He did, but the restriction only applies if I overuse it. As long as I stay within the limit, I’m allowed to use it."
Elina let out a relieved sigh and nodded without saying anything.
"By the way," she asked softly, "what about the monster? Did you kill it?"
Leon stepped aside and replied, "Yes, I killed it."
Elina looked ahead and saw the monster’s lifeless body lying on the ground. Its head had been severed from its neck, and thick, blackish-green blood was oozing out.
The drizzle helped mask the foul stench, but a faint trace still lingered in the air—enough to make her feel nauseous.
"In that case, let’s continue toward the cliff," Leon said, glancing at the dense trees to the right. "I found an abandoned trail that seems to lead straight to the top."
"Okay, I’ll follow whatever you decide," Elina answered obediently.
Leon nodded in satisfaction and gently patted her head.
Without a word, Leon suddenly scooped her up into a princess carry, taking her by surprise.
Before Elina could even react, the two of them vanished from the spot.
...
The Dragon Palace was vast, with a unique architectural style and towering pillars that stretched high into the sky.
Its grandeur was enough to mesmerize anyone who laid eyes on it—making it nearly impossible to look away.
One of the most striking areas was the guest hall, a space resembling a parlor but far larger than those found in most other palaces.
Six massive pillars supported the ceiling, each rising twenty meters high and adorned with intricate carvings of gold, red, white, and black dragons at their tops.
The walls were covered with more than two hundred paintings depicting dragons, mountains, and various landscapes.
At both ends of the hall stood seven dragon statues, each five meters tall, exuding a powerful and dignified presence.
In the center of the room sat four gold-trimmed sofas, radiating luxury and refinement.
Between them stood a long table carved from Alderwood—a rare timber found only on the eastern side of the continent, where ancient and powerful monsters roamed.
At that moment, Athena sat on the rightmost sofa, dressed in a dazzling bright red gown, her long legs crossed with effortless grace.
Her gaze was fixed on the woman sitting across from her—a figure just as alluring, with equally striking features and curves.
But one detail stood out unmistakably: the woman’s long, pointed ears revealed her identity—she was an elf.
"Welcome, Elf Queen Zelda," Athena greeted in a nonchalant yet polite tone. "Was your journey tiring?"
Zelda took a sip of the tea placed before her, then replied just as politely, "Thank you for the warm welcome, Empress Athena. Don’t worry—the journey was quite comfortable and pleasant."
As she spoke, her eyes swept over Athena from head to toe, her gaze tinged with subtle irritation.
"This woman... she’s incredibly beautiful. She’s not even inferior to me!" Zelda muttered inwardly, alarmed.
Athena’s appearance was nearly flawless—so much so that even Zelda, as a fellow woman, couldn’t help but admire her... and secretly envy her.
Most striking of all were the assets on her chest—so large, it bordered on the absurd.
No wonder Elina had once admitted defeat in that area—they were almost twice her size!
"What exactly does she eat to get that big?" Zelda wondered, her eyes filled with a blend of confusion and curiosity.
Catching the look, Athena smiled to herself, quietly basking in pride.
"Heh... So she really is bothered by my size. It’s obvious she sees herself as the loser here," Athena thought, brimming with confidence.
When it came to assets, only Liliana had ever felt like a true rival. The others—Arshley, Luna, even Zelda seated before her—had never been serious competition in her eyes.
"By the way, there’s something I’ve been meaning to ask," Athena said, shifting the topic with a hint of curiosity. "You mentioned Leon went to the Dwarven territory, right? When do you think he’ll be back?"
The question snapped Zelda out of her thoughts. She offered a gentle smile and replied, "I’m not entirely sure myself, but Leon said he might return within a year—or possibly longer. He can’t say for certain, since he has to complete his five-year journey before the Evil God awakens."
According to Leon’s estimation, the Evil God would appear in about six to seven years. That meant they only had five years left to prepare.
To some, five years might seem like a long time. But for Zelda, an Elf, it felt alarmingly short.
Hearing that, Athena let out a sigh—somewhere between frustration and resignation.
At first, she had assumed Leon would come to see her after wrapping things up with the elves.
What she didn’t expect was for him to simply leave without so much as a goodbye.
Of course, she felt hurt. But at the same time, Athena understood—Leon’s time was limited.
They continued talking about Leon for a while, but the topic soon faded as the two finally moved on to the true purpose of their meeting.
Since the Elven race was still unfamiliar with the outside world, Zelda asked Athena for assistance in constructing a small town to serve as their temporary residence.
The town would act as a center for learning and adaptation—ensuring the elves wouldn’t be harmed, or worse, killed due to their lack of knowledge about the world beyond their borders.
Zelda also asked Athena to help inform both Arshley and Liliana about the elves’ emergence in order to prevent widespread panic or misunderstandings among the human and demon races.
Naturally, Athena agreed. After all, Leon had personally asked her to assist the hidden races that would soon reveal themselves to the world.
As the conversation went on, the initial tension between the two women gradually faded, replaced by a faint yet growing sense of familiarity.
"By the way, there’s something I’ve been meaning to ask." Athena’s gaze sharpened. "Do you have a special relationship with Leon?"
Zelda blinked, caught off guard for a moment, before responding gracefully, "Of course. After all, I’m his wife."
Athena: "(ꐦ𝅒_𝅒) "
