My Milf Conqueror System-Chapter 14: Leaning into his new reality
The alarm went off at 7:30 AM.
I groaned, rolling over and slapping the phone on my nightstand. My head throbbed faintly a reminder of the two beers I’d had at Ethan’s party, but the adrenaline kicked in almost immediately.
9:00 AM. Sofia’s place. 𝙛𝒓𝓮𝒆𝔀𝒆𝙗𝓷𝒐𝙫𝒆𝙡.𝒄𝓸𝓶
I sat up, rubbing my face. The apartment was quiet, the morning light filtering through the cheap blinds. It felt surreal. Yesterday, I was buying clothes I couldn’t afford and talking to people who didn’t know my name. Today, I was having breakfast with a woman who could buy and sell everyone I knew.
I showered quickly, the cold water waking me up. I shaved, careful not to nick myself. I put on the new clothes. Dark jeans, a crisp white t-shirt, and a light jacket. Casual, but intentional.
The System hovered in my peripheral vision as I brushed my teeth.
[Daily Task: Maintain Physique (0/1)] [Daily Task: Social Networking (0/1)] [Daily Task: Financial Management (0/1)]
It was relentless. But I ignored it for now. I had a bigger mission.
...
Sofia lived in a penthouse overlooking the park. The doorman recognized me this time, nodding as he held the door open.
"Good morning, Mr. Hart."
"Morning, Frank."
I took the elevator up, my stomach doing flip-flops. This wasn’t a business meeting. It wasn’t a seduction mission. It was... breakfast. And somehow, that felt more terrifying.
When the elevator doors opened, the penthouse was flooded with sunlight. The smell of coffee and something baking filled the air.
Sofia was in the kitchen.
She was wearing a silk robe, tied loosely at the waist, her hair pulled back in a messy bun. She was barefoot, padding across the marble floor with a plate of fruit.
She looked up as I walked in. Her face softened, a genuine smile touching her lips.
"You’re early," she said.
"I didn’t want to keep you waiting," I replied, walking over to the island.
She leaned against the counter, crossing her arms. "You look different."
"Different good or different bad?"
"Different... confident," she said, her eyes scanning me. "Like you belong here."
"Maybe I do."
She laughed, a low, throaty sound that made my chest tighten. "Careful, Jake. Do not get too arrogant."
"Confidence," I corrected. "There’s a difference you know."
She poured me a cup of coffee, black, just the way I liked it. "So, how was your party?"
I took a sip, watching her over the rim of the mug. "It was... interesting. Saw some people I haven’t talked to in a while."
"Like who?"
"Just a girl from class," I said, keeping it vague. "Claire."
Sofia raised an eyebrow. "Claire? An old flame?"
"An old crush," I admitted. "But she didn’t even know who i am until last night."
"And now?"
"Now she wants me to tutor her."
Sofia’s expression shifted. A flicker of something, jealousy? possessiveness? crossed her face before she masked it.
"And what did you say?"
"I told her I was busy."
Sofia smiled, a slow, satisfied curve of her lips. She walked around the island and stood in front of me, close enough that I could smell her shampoo.
"Good answer," she murmured.
She reached up, her fingers brushing the collar of my jacket. "You know, Jake, I don’t usually do this. Breakfast. Mornings. It’s... different."
"I know," I said, my voice dropping. "It’s about time you stepped out of your glass house."
She looked up at me, her eyes searching mine. "You’re an enigma," she whispered. "You make me forget who I am."
"And that’s a good thing," I said. "You need to forget sometimes."
She leaned in, her lips brushing against mine. It was soft, tentative, a stark contrast to the intensity of the night before. But it felt... real.

We pulled apart slowly. Sofia took a step back, smoothing her robe.
"So," she said, her voice a little breathless. "What’s the plan for today? More corporate espionage?"
I laughed. "Actually, I have a class at 11. But after that... I was thinking we could do something normal."
"Normal?" She looked skeptical. "Like what?"
"Like a walk in the park. Or a movie. Or just... hanging out."
She stared at me for a moment, as if trying to decipher a foreign language. "I haven’t ’hung out’ in ten years."
"Then it’s about time you started," I said. "I’ll pick you up at 1?"
She hesitated, then nodded. "Fine. But if you make me watch a rom-com, I’m leaving you."
"Deal."
...
I left her apartment feeling like I was walking on air. The System chimed in my mind as I stepped onto the street.

I checked my phone. It was 10:30 AM. I had just enough time to make it to class.
As I walked toward campus, the city felt different. Brighter. Sharper. I wasn’t just a student anymore. I was a guy with secrets. A guy with a life that no one here knew about.
I walked into the lecture hall right as Dr. Aris was starting. I slid into the seat next to Ethan.
"You made it," Ethan whispered, grinning. "I thought you might still be recovering."
"I’m good," I said, opening my laptop.
"So," Ethan nudged me. "Did you talk to Claire again? I saw her looking for you earlier."
I looked across the room. Claire was sitting in the front row. She turned, scanning the back of the room until her eyes landed on me. She smiled, a hopeful, inviting smile.
A week ago, that smile would have made my week.
Now?
I just gave her a polite nod and turned back to my notes.
Ethan watched the exchange, his eyebrows shooting up. "Dude. You just blew off Claire Montgomery. Again."
"I’m busy, Ethan," I said, a small smile playing on my lips.
"Busy doing what?"
I thought about the penthouse. The silk robe. The woman who ran an empire but didn’t know how to hang out.
"Just... living," I said, smirking.
The System window flickered in the corner of my vision, overlaying the boring economics lecture.

I cracked my knuckles.
"Let’s do this," I whispered.
