My Perfect Revenge: Flash Marriage With My Vampire Tycoon-Chapter 144: – You Will Be Okay –
Loredana suddenly shot up from her seat, eyes flickering rapidly. "My child..."
Her face grew paler than it already was, eyes darting around, searching for her cell phone. She wasn’t sure what it was, but she could feel it, almost as if her son was gone.
That he was... dead.
She snatched her phone from beside her on the sofa and quickly dialed Nikolas’s number.
There was no response.
She tried over and over again, still nothing. By now, anxiety was beginning to eat at her. She had subconsciously begun to pace back and forth, teeth dug into her bottom lip. No matter how many times she called, Nikolas wouldn’t pick up.
So, she tried Lucian, and to her horror, it was the very same case with him. None of them was answering her calls.
"W-what is going on? My so—"
The door bell was ringing rapidly, grabbing her attention. "Massimo," she called.
The butler arrived within the room in no less than five seconds, deeply bowing to her with a palm to his chest and a hand to his back. "Yes ma’am?"
"Someone’s at the door," Loredana said.
Massimo nodded. He left, making his way to the large double door. However, when he opened it, he was met with none other than Francesca who was bawling her eyes out. Her face was a teary mess, making it clear that she had been crying from home until she got here.
Massimo held a taken aback look. "Mrs. Bastiani. What’s—"
Francesca pushed past him, racing inside to find Loredana. And the second she came face to face with her—Loredana saw her, her teary face, she grew even paler.
"Fran?"
She quickly walked up to her, and without asking questions, she pulled her into her arms, hugging her. She grabbed gently at the back of her head, caressing her hair ever so softly as if soothing her.
Francesca, whose face was buried in her shoulder, wrapped her arms around, hugging her tightly like she could collapse if someone didn’t hold onto her.
"Calm down. Calm down child and tell me what’s going on," Loredana coerced gently. "Why are you crying? What has happened?"
"My child..." Francesca pulled back to stare at her, her shoulders rising and falling as she sobbed. She hit her chest. "M-my daughter. I can’t find my daughter."
Loredana staggered. "Huh...?"
"It’s my fault. I shouldn’t have been sleeping. I-I should have been upstairs, I don’t know what happened, I don’t know where she is." She was crying frantically and began to pace back and forth like a woman who’d gone back. "I’ve looked everywhere, I can’t find... I can’t find my child. My daughter."
Loredana was too frozen to speak. What was... what was happening?
Francesca bit at her finger nails, pupils dilated unnaturally. "My daughteer. My kid. M-My daughter." She looked around rapidly, at some point, she couldn’t see anyone anymore, not even Loredana who was in front of her.
"Francesca." Loredana grabbed her shoulders. "Francesca looked at me."
"I’m a terrible mother. M-my child. My little girl is missing." She cried harder, and Loredana was trying to make her calm down. Francesca however began breathing heavily.
"Francesca!"
She fell to the floor on her knees, palms clutching her belly. She sobbed profusely, a pained look on her face. "It hurts... It hurts."
Loredana knelt to the floor and grabbed her shoulder. "What hurts? Francesca, look at me."
Francesca met her eyes, her vision gone blurry.
"Tell me, what is it?" Loredana asked. "What hurts? What—"
"My stomach. Mom, it-it hurts."
"Huh...?" Loredana quickly lowered her gaze to the floor, only to freeze. A horrified gasp Fled from her and she slapped a palm over her mouth, rapid breaths fleeing her mouth. "Oh heaven."
"Mom..."
"You’re bleeding. Francesca, you’re—oh my goodness."
"Mom—"
"Calm down, child. Don’t panic. I’ll help you, okay? W-well fix this." Loredana shot to her feet.
She carefully scooped Francesca into her arms, soothing, "Breathe, breathe. You’ll be fine. You’ll be fine, I promise you that. Just keep breathing."
"Massimo!" She shouted.
Francesca wrapped her arms around her neck, and buried her face in her shoulder, trying to breathe like she’d been told to.
"There, just like that. Keep breathing. I know it hurts, but keep breathing. Lucia is okay, I’m sure she’s okay. W-we’ll figure all these out," the woman cooed, hurrying her way out of the family house.
She rushed towards one of the cars and settled her down in the seat. "You’ll endure until we get there, won’t you?"
Francesca tried to nod at her, but she was in too much pain to even register anything. Her eyes had gone hazy, head lolling back and forth. "My child. M-my little girl."
Loredana fastened her seat belt. She shut the door and made her way over to get into the driver’s seat.
"Madam?" Massimo stared in confusion.
She yelled at him. "Something is wrong with my son, Massimo. Please find him for me. I need to know that they’re fine."
"Yes, madam."
She turned the steering wheel frantically, taking a drive back, before she sped out of the compound into the road. She drove as fast as she could, and the farther they went, the more Francesca’s pain worsened.
Loredana’s heart ached to see her like that—in so much pain. She quickly grabbed her hand tightly. The little gesture was enough to bring Francesca back to her senses a little bit.
"It’s okay, it’s okay, child. You’ll be okay."

Massimo stepped down from the car. He looked around and his expression immediately fell.
"Someone went berserk here... Our kind to be precise—young sir. Goodness!" His feet quickened as he hurried his pace, heading towards the shed where he could smell more than one distinct scent.
One was weak right now, which was odd, because it belonged to Nikolas, who was only weaker than his own mother and no other vampire.
The other however—
Massimo’s eyes narrowed and he kicked the door down. He rushed inside, pausing as his gaze landed on Tasso who was sat on the floor, next to Nikolas who was as pale as a ghost.
Massimo wasn’t even sure if he was alive. The only thing he could still notice was the weak scent that had almost faded completely.
