My Perfect Revenge: Flash Marriage With My Vampire Tycoon-Chapter 146: — Are You A Father? —
Lucian began to pace around again. He recalled that one time, NIkolas had mentioned that his wife’s mother was a patient in his hospital. "Does that mean her mother is in clinica B?"
Before looking for her father, he would have to find her mother first—someone he was hundred percent sure would be willing to save her daughter.
"Valentina."
"Yeah?"
"Please look after my daughter. I’ll be back before the day ends."
"Sure. Take your time."
——-
Amadeo sat within his office, lets crossed and with a cold grim expression on his face. No one was daring to step into that office.
The man looked like he could murder anyone who dared to show their face to him at this very moment.
Tonight was the event that he’d made sure Viviana planned. But somehow, she didn’t show up and was nowhere to be found. Everything was entirely ruined and he had to send back clients, investors and guests home with constant apologies at his tongue.
He’d gone to Maison de Vesta, to the ninetieth floor where he knew she lived, but she was nowhere to be found. Amadeo had almost turned this earth upside down, yet he could not find his daughter anywhere.
While he was still in this state, someone knocked at the door of the office. He was still at his company, yet to make his way home.
Turning his head, he crossed his legs. "Come in."
One of the security workers hurried inside and while keeping heavy distance between them, he deeply bowed to him. "Boss, t-t-there is—there is—"
"Do you want to lose your job in the next one second?"
"No, sir!"
"Then speak up."
The security nodded. "There is someone here to see you,. sir."
"See me?" Amadeo cocked a brow. It surely couldn’t be Viviana. After all, she knew better than to—
Someone walked into the office, shoving past the security.
Amadeo’s eyes narrowed, and then his brows arched, gaze proceeding to scrutinize the man who now stood before him.
He looked familiar. Not that he’d met him before, but rather that he looked very identical to someone he knew—
"Nikolas." But he frowned. "No. You’re not Nikolas." While they looked identical, there was a very noticeable difference. This one wore glasses, while Nikolas didn’t. He also had much longer hair, and his eyes were rather ocean blue.
Now the most noticeable thing that confirmed his idea was the aura that emitted from both men. Nikolas carried himself more differently than this one did. Compared to Nikolas who showed fear for nothing and moved with confidence, this one was rather... reserved.
More matured as if he were the older one between the two.
"You’re right, I am not Nikolas, Amadeo Di-grassi," the person Lucian confirmed.
Amadeo’s interest was piqued as he stared him down, probing him with the intimidation he was oozing out.
Lucian almost shook his head, quite amused by this old man.
Amadeo followed up with a question. "What is your name, young man?"
"Lucian."
"And why are you here? What do you want from me?"
Lucian didn’t hesitate saying, "Your daughter is in danger, she’s dying and you have to give some blood to her."
Amadeo showed a slightly shocked expression before his face grew grim. "What did you just say?"
"She was shot and she barely has twenty hours left. If she doesn’t get a blood transfusion immediately, she’s going to die."
"Take her to the hospital then?"
Lucian cocked a brow. "What? Take her to the hospital? You’d really be willing to let the world know your daughter was shot?"
Amadeo propped his chin up with fisted hand. "She’s in critical danger, take her to the hospital. Why have you come to find me?"
"You’re her father—"
"I am, but so what?" Amadeo uncrossed his legs, arms left on the armrest of his chair. "I taught that girl how to protect and survive. In this world, one must die, and one must live. If she dies, then she’s just weak. All I taught her was for nothing."
"You piece of shit!" Lucian stormed toward him. He grabbed him by the collar of his suit, and punched him hard across the face. "What kind of a father are you? Have you lost your mind?"
The pain cut through Amadeo’s and he tilted his head back to stare directly into Lucian’s eyes. "You’ve got balls, young man, i’ll give you. Normally, I’d already have a bullet lodged into your heart by now, but—"
"Fuck around with me and find out." Lucian glared down at him. "You don’t deserve to be a father. What the hell do you think your daughter is, a puppet? Huh? You’re treating her as if she’s worth nothing to you." 𝗳𝚛𝚎𝚎𝘄𝕖𝕓𝕟𝕠𝚟𝚎𝕝.𝗰𝕠𝐦
"But she is worth everything to me. After all, I invested everything I had into that girl. I made her who she is today."
"As you should have!"
Lucian yelled at him.
"What? You think she should act like you’re her saviour merely because you did your fatherly duties? She didn’t ask to be here. You brought her into this shitty world. Feeding her, raising her, protecting her, it is your fucking job and you do not get a pat on the back for it. It is your job to love her, to care for her, do you understand me? How black is your heart that you couldn’t even react to the news of your daughter being one step away from death? Do you not care who did this to her? Don’t you care or love her at all? Shouldn’t you as a father want to protect the child that you’ve raised?"
Amadeo stared at him. By now, the amusement he held in his gaze was completely gone. "Are you a father?"
"Yes. I am father to a beautiful lovely five year old girl and I could not ever imagine being like you one day. I rather slit my throat than be so unconcerned about my child."
"I see." Amadeo wrapped his fingers around his wrist. "Who shot my daughter then?"
