Joanna Lawrence sat on the edge of the bed and sang a lullaby for a while.

After Olivia fell asleep, Joanna covered her with a blanket and tiptoed out of the bedroom.

Once outside the room, she gently closed the door.

Kelvin Norman finished washing the dishes and wiped his hands as he walked out of the kitchen. He saw Joanna sneaking out of the bedroom, so he whispered, "Is Olivia asleep?"

Joanna turned around and lowered her voice, "Yeah, she just fell asleep."

Kelvin chuckled, "She’s quite well-behaved, going to sleep right after dinner. I thought it would be difficult to take care of a child, but she’s much easier to manage than I expected."

Joanna nodded in agreement.

She had thought that children would surely be difficult to handle.

Especially little girls, who tend to be more delicate, were even harder to deal with.

However, to her surprise, Olivia was quite easy to take care of. 𝐟𝕣𝗲𝕖𝕨𝗲𝐛𝗻𝗼𝐯𝗲𝚕.𝗰𝚘𝐦

Not troubling at all.

She ate her meals quietly and agreed to watch only two episodes of a cartoon without fussing for more.

Putting her to sleep was easy too.

Joanna felt that if all children were this trouble-free, she wouldn’t mind having two kids.

After all, her original plan was to have only one child, because she thought taking care of children was too much trouble.

She also thought that she wouldn’t be good at raising children.

But now, it was a breeze for her to take care of Olivia, so, naturally, she no longer considered it a hassle.

"Yes, Olivia is really well-behaved and easy to manage." Joanna smiled, "It looks like we’ll be able to complete our first day’s task with ease."

"I’m glad I got paired with you." Kelvin didn’t hold back his praise, "Your culinary skills are great, and the food you cook is delicious. Olivia likes it too. If neither of us could cook well, this first task would have been much more difficult."

"Well, it’s not just my accomplishment. Even though you can’t cook, I think you’re good at entertaining children. If it wasn’t for you keeping Olivia amused, I wouldn’t have been able to focus on cooking."

"Alright, let’s not keep complimenting each other for now," Kelvin smirked, "Do you want to take a nap? You can go to my room and rest."

After being paired up, the male and female contestants shared a room.

There were two sets of rooms, with one male and one female each staying in a bedroom.

Joanna had just taken Olivia to her bedroom for a nap.

Being a gentleman, Kelvin offered his room to Joanna for a rest.

"Or..." Just as Joanna was about to say she wasn’t tired and didn’t need a nap, she heard a knock on the door.

She and Kelvin exchanged glances before Kelvin went to open the door.

Edward Cooper, the host, was standing outside.

Seeing Edward, Kelvin asked with a smile, "Edward, is there something you need?"

"Yes, there is." Edward nodded, glanced past Kelvin at Joanna behind him, and said with a deep meaning after a pause, "We’ve just received a notice from above that we need to modify some previous arrangements. You should pack up your belongings since the Program Group has organized separate rooms for the male guests. Male and female guests will no longer stay together."

Kelvin was stunned but quickly recovered, "Do I have to move out now?"

"Yes," Edward nodded and looked at Joanna, "Move out now."

"Alright." Kelvin didn’t ask why all the male guests were suddenly being asked to move out, but he had a guess since Edward’s gaze was always on Joanna while talking to him.
