My SSS-Rank Gluttony Talent: I Can Evolve Limitlessly-Chapter 43: There it is
Chapter 43: There it is
Riley exhaled slowly, his lips stretched into a wide, satisfied smirk as the system tabs floated before his eyes.
[You have devoured: Mutated Dark Fanged Boar]
[Acquired: Strength +55.7, Agility +59.1, Endurance +61.1, Vitality +64, Mana +53.2, Skill: Dark Shroud (C-rank), Trait: Lesser Regeneration (C-rank)]
The monstrous corpse of the boar was nowhere to be found, and except for the pool of blood on the ground, there were no traces of it.
All of it had already been devoured by Riley.
"Heh..."
A quiet chuckle escaped his lips as he read the notifications again, not out of disbelief but from the sheer satisfaction bubbling up inside him.
He even managed to absorb a skill and trait from the boar.
He ran a hand through his messy black hair, then tilted his head back with a grin that bordered on maniacal. "Finally..."
This was the first time Gluttony had yielded a trait.
Every time he’d consumed monsters before, he’d only gained stats or skills. But this time, he managed to absonr a trait.
Unlike humans and certain high-ranking races who were born with talents, monsters didn’t have that luxury.
Instead, they were born with traits—innate, passive qualities that shaped how they fought, lived, and survived.
Gluttony had always hinted he could absorb both talents and traits. But absorbing a trait was quite rare compared to attributes.
’Lesser regeneration.’ He thought, and a tab displaying more details about the trait appeared before him.
[Trait Details: Lesser Regeneration (C-rank)]
[Description: All physical injuries are passively healed within minutes, and regeneration of health points boosted by 100%]
The trait wasn’t that powerful, which was why it was only C-rank, but it was helpful nonetheless.
Riley couldn’t stop grinning, and then he called out his status window, curious to see how much it had changed.

Riley let out a low whistle as he scrolled through the list, thoroughly impressed by what he saw.
Even level ten players barely had up to ten percent of his current attributes, and they were sure to increase even more as time went by.
Apart from the increase in attributes, he had also gotten two new skills, both C-rank, and also powerful.
Dark Shroud alone was an absurd addition, automatically repelling any damage 600 and below, and also greatly boosting his physical attributes.
Apart from that, it didn’t have any cool-down, and as long as he had enough mana, he could use the skill anyhow he wanted.
Rockbound was also very powerful, giving all his damage a hundred percent boost!
The only drawback was the long cool-down, but with how powerful it was for a C-rank, it made sense why it had such a long cool-down.
Riley closed the system tab with a flick of his fingers, the glowing blue screens vanishing into particles of light.
He slowly turned back to the entrance of the cave, his face twitching slightly.
The jagged mouth reminded shrouded in darkness, pulsing strangely almost like it was calling unto him.
A strange glint flickered across Riley’s eyes, and he carefully walked towards the cave.
He came to a stop just outside the cave’s mouth, his sharp gaze scanning the interior. novelbuddy.cσ๓
From where he stood, he could barely make anything out beyond a few vague rock structures.
The light from the forest didn’t pierce very far, and what little it did reveal was warped by shadows.
He scoffed under his breath, then stepped inside.
Instantly, it felt like a curtain of night had fallen over him.
The shift was a bit jarring—one moment he stood beneath the sunlight, and the next he was swallowed whole by pitch blackness.
His pupils adjusted quickly. Not perfect, but just enough.
Even without a light source, Riley could make out the rough outline of the rocky tunnel.
The deeper he moved, the more defined things became—the jagged texture of the walls, the broken rocks spread across the ground.
He kept moving.
The air shifted as he descended, growing colder, damper.
The ominous energy in the cave was getting stronger, to the point where he could almost feel it on his skin.
A faint shimmer caught his eye.
Riley slowed.
There—just ahead, half-lodged between two broad slabs of broken stone on the ground—was a small, glowing crystal.
It pulsed with a dim purple light, soft but steady, as if it were breathing.
His eyes widened.
"There it is..." he muttered under his breath. "The dark crystal."
