My Super Sassy Dad: Stop Running Away, Mrs. Quinn!-Chapter 460: Insult
"I’m already awake." Melody Thorne turned over and moved a bit farther from Jared Quinn, creating a long distance between them.
The bed was three meters wide, and without moving, Jared couldn’t reach her at all.
"Let’s step out for a moment, the doctor will come this afternoon to remove the bandages from the less severe wounds." Dr. Mo, with great tact, quickly left with two other doctors.
When Jared looked over, Melody had already gotten out of bed, her dark eyes gradually darkening.
"What did Dr. Mo just say?" Melody circled around the large bed, sitting beside Jared, lifting the covers to check his various wounds only to find that the bandages wrapped around him yesterday were all gone, except for his arm and back.
"Where are the bandages?"
"Removed," Jared felt it was nothing, as long as it wasn’t a fatal injury, he never cared about it.
"Why remove them? Don’t your wounds hurt?" Melody’s hand touched the bruised area on his leg, the vivid marks clearly caused by impact.
As her soft fingertips touched his wounds, Jared’s first reaction was his body tensing, even his soul was starting to tighten.
Especially seeing the pain and concern in her eyes now.
"Don’t move." Jared caught her small hand, his gaze deep, "If you do, you’ll have to take responsibility for the consequences."
With her fingertips held in his large hand, Melody felt a burning sensation, she looked at his injured body, "What consequences? You’re already hurt like this."
This was definitely an insult to his masculine pride!
"Want to try?" Jared pulled her closer, his deep, restrained look contrasting with his shameless words, "The body is injured, but there’s one part that’s still good."
His voice carried a husky temptation...
"Stop," Melody quickly withdrew her hand, this man was still acting shamelessly in front of her despite his serious injuries!
"Anyway, you better not move recklessly, or... or I’ll leave right now," she threatened, pointing at his prominent nose.
Her demeanor somewhat mirrored his usual way of threatening her.
Jared’s thin lips curved into a barely noticeable smile, compromising, "Alright, I won’t move."
"What do you want to eat?"
"Noodles."
Melody tucked him in and turned to the kitchen, where the fridge was well-stocked, seemingly just refilled.
Probably arranged by Dr. Mo to make it convenient for her to take care of Jared.
While Melody busied herself in the kitchen, outside, Jared’s gaze was fixed in her direction.
Yesterday... during the tunnel explosion, he heard it, heard her say that he won, that he had won her heart again...
So, is it true?
She was willing to quietly stay by his side?
Melody quickly made a bowl of noodles and brought it out, placing it on the nightstand. She glanced at his injured hand, hesitantly asking, "Should I feed you?"
"Mm."
With his response, Melody picked up the bowl of noodles, lifted a few strands with chopsticks, blew them gently, and brought them to Jared’s mouth, indicating for him to eat.
Jared’s eyes watched her actions, filled with an increasingly enchanting allure, like a whirlpool that could draw people in, his masculinity irresistible.
"Eat up," Melody’s gaze followed the noodles she had lifted, glaring at him.
