My Ultimate OP System: Summoning All Dragons, Gods, Heroes & Villains-Chapter 90: End Of The Road For Hitman X (Extra)
Louisa noticed that step backward and spoke calmly. "Sir, if you do not hurry, our target may attempt to flee."
Wade grinned even wider at that comment. "You think he can outpace me?"
"Not at this range. No, sir," Louisa replied without hesitation.
However, Joe gave it no further thought. He raised his hand, aiming Katarina in its compact mode at a nearby rooftop ledge, ready to fire another grappling line when his eyes suddenly widened.
Blood burst from his mouth.
He turned his head downward in disbelief to see that Wade had already blitzed forward at such blinding speed that Joe hadn’t even registered the movement.
And now there was a gaping hole punched clean through his chest.
Wade stood directly in front of him with his fist still buried inside Joe’s torso. His eyes glowed red now, and fangs had extended from his mouth as he stared directly into Joe’s face.
"I take the fullest satisfaction doing this," Wade said coldly.
Then he pulled his hand out of Joe’s chest, letting the body slump forward and collapsed onto the ground. Blood pooled around him almost immediately.
Louisa walked forward and handed Wade a clean white towel.
Wade took it and wiped the blood off his arms with disgust on his face as he stared down at the dead body before him.
Then he tossed the bloodied towel onto Joe’s corpse and stretched his hand out toward Louisa. "Dial her."
Louisa pulled out an Arcphone from her jacket pocket, pressed something on the screen, and passed it over to him.
Wade put it to his ear, and the moment the call connected, he spoke firmly.
"I have kept my promise, I now owe you nothing. Be safe."
A timid female voice came through on the other end of the call. "Thank you, Mr. Wade."
Wade ended the call without another word and passed the phone back to Louisa. Then he said, "Procure the body and have it as proof for the reward. I want all of it sent to their family."
"Yes, sir," Louisa said with a respectful bow before stretching her hand toward the dead body.
A light blue magic circle appeared before her palm. This made a blue aura of mana coat the body of Hitman X and force it to float upward off the ground, hovering behind Louisa as she and Wade began walking out of the alleyway.
"Sir," Louisa began, "might I suggest you go back to concealing your mana?"
Wade made a weird face and glanced at her with confusion. "Huh? But isn’t it keeping these weak shits around us away?"
Louisa paused for just a moment before bowing her head again. "Hm... that is true, sir."
Wade laughed heartily at that response as they continued moving down the street together.
Across several rooftops scattered throughout the area, different figures stared at one another in genuine shock at what they had just witnessed. They had been trailing Joe for hours until this moment.
Elsewhere in the immediate vicinity, other pursuers who had been closing in on Joe’s position stopped dead in their tracks as they sensed the overwhelming magical presence radiating from Wade Hogan.
None of them dared move any closer.

At the other end of the call was Lucy, who had just set her device down on the table after finishing her conversation with Mr. Hogan.
Her hands were trembling, and she clenched them into fists to steady herself. Currently, she sat in front of a table in her room, and on the far corner of that table was a thick white card.
It had the name "Wade" written in stylish script on it, with digits inscribed below that were too blurry to make out clearly from this distance.

[Flashback Scene]
Two years ago, at the funeral of Isaac Hargreeves...
Even the sky looked gloomy that day as Black-clad mourners gathered around the grave site.
Lucy stood beside her mother, both of them dressed in black. Her mother’s face was pale and hollow, with tears streaming down her cheeks as she clutched a handkerchief in one trembling hand.
Lucy’s own eyes were red and swollen from crying, but at that moment she stood there in silence, unable to process the reality that her father was truly gone.
The casket was lowered into the ground slowly, and several people stepped forward to toss flowers onto it as it descended.
After the burial ended, people began to gather in smaller groups. They spoke in hushed tones and offered condolences to Lucy’s mother, who nodded weakly at each person who approached her.
Lucy couldn’t bear to stand there any longer, and so walked away from the crowd and found a seat on a stone pavement bench beneath a large tree, sitting down alone.
That’s when Wade walked over toward her.
Louisa, of course, was behind him and both of them wore black suits that fit the somber occasion.
"Hey," Wade began gently.
Lucy looked up at him. Her eyes were filled with tears and grief as she said, "Good day, sir."
Wade had dark shades covering his eyes. "I’ll keep it short and simple. My name is Wade, and growing up, your father used to teach my class in an academy. He was the best tutor we ever had."
Then he pulled out a thick white card from his pocket with his number and name already written on it in elegant script. He passed it over to Lucy and continued speaking.
"I was going to give this to your mother," he said, glancing briefly toward where she stood surrounded by mourners, "but she looks swamped, and I have to go."
Lucy still looked at the paper with his number on it with a strange expression on her face, unsure of what to make of this gesture.
Wade then added with firm conviction in his voice, "If a day ever comes when this hitman is revealed, give me a call right away, and I will come from any part of the world to avenge your father. This is the only reason for which you’re to call this number."
Lucy continued staring at him with that same strange expression as Wade stood up from where he’d been crouched beside her bench. He bowed respectfully and said, "My condolences once again."
Then he turned and walked away with Louisa following close behind him.
Lucy watched them leave before looking down at the card in her hands once more, with her fingers trembling as she held it.
