Chapter 96- Master

"Hm, hm, hm..." Melissa lay on the bed, swinging her legs around as she watched Elio train silently. She enjoyed seeing her favorite human doing his own thing while she was just with him.

This was one of her favorite ways of spending time, no need for too much thought or fear, just pure peace with someone she can fully relax around. Her smile was wide as she hummed and bobbed her head.

’Now that I think about it. Elio’s appearance is really changing. He is becoming more and more handsome every day... Not that he wasn’t handsome already.’ She thought to herself as she looked at the boy.

’However.’ She licked her lips as a weird glint appeared in her eyes. ’He might become a bit too delicious to resist very soon. I wonder what he will look like once he reaches his full potential.’

Melissa can imagine he will become godly. Someone so handsome that every heart will be swayed with a simple look at him. If that happened, she was curious how she would have to handle it.

’Hmmm... Should I alter his face a bit for the masses so he doesn’t get too much attention? Yeah, that will be for the better. Nobody should be allowed to see my Elio’s full beauty.’ She nodded to herself. It was something exclusive to her and only her.

As she was imagining all those kinds of things, Melissa suddenly froze as she opened her eyes, all the playfulness vanished from her eyes, and she looked at the window.

"Hm?" Elio was seemingly disturbed as he also sensed something affecting his aura. "What was that?"

"..." Melissa didn’t reply as she stood up and walked to the window. It took her a second before a glint of understanding flashed before her eyes.

"Hm, it seems it’s almost done."

"Huh?"

"Sit here and continue training. I will be out for a bit. Should be back in a few minutes at most." She said with a soft smile.

"Ok... Be careful."

"Of course. See you in a bit, cutie~" Winking at him, Melissa vanished out of sight in a split second.

"... I wonder what she felt that made her leave. Did something happen?" He raised an eyebrow. "Could it be..."

***

Far, far away from where Elio was, deep into the thick forest, far beyond anyone’s reach... Two silhouettes were moving faster than sound.

*BOOOOOOOOOOM*

Each time they clashed, the sound took a few seconds to occur, and it was so strong that trees were flying everywhere and large craters were forming in the ground. It was like two missiles directly hitting each other and creating a brutal explosion.

"T-This is..."

The vampire hunters watched from afar, their jaws just dropped to the floor. Most of them had never seen Geralt fight before, and so this was a first experience for them. What they were witnessing was simply ridiculous.

The man was moving so fast that he wasn’t even creating afterimages. His speed and power were so ridiculous that a mere punch in the air sent everything within one hundred feet radius of him flying everywhere as if a storm had hit the place.

However, the most shocking part of it all wasn’t the effect of each punch... It was the fact that he was using Zero Blood Energy to do all of that.

All that destruction, speed, and brutal force of nature... was all his basic physical strength. That man was so powerful, he didn’t need to use Blood Energy, easily what would be considered 90% of every Vampire Hunter’s strength.

He was a monster. A true demon that sent fear through the hearts of all vampires. Meanwhile, the opponent facing this utter freak of nature was not falling back in the slightest.

They could trace him more easily since he was a black liquid that kept moving around. It melted and shaped, created holes within itself to let punches pass through, and did everything to dodge each attack while countering brutally.

Their clashes were the highlight of each interaction, and that happened dozens or even hundreds of times within minutes.

"Evacuate farther away! They’re approaching our area! If you don’t want to die, get out of the way!" One Hunter yelled at the top of his lungs.

*SWISH*

"AGH!"

The wind reached them faster than they could move and sent them flying everywhere, falling to the ground with a loud thud. Quickly, they recovered and tried to escape. But, before they could... The storm came.

"Hahahahaha! You are really strong, Geralt! This is what I’m talking about!"

The two clashed within the same area as these hunters. Those close enough to the area... Disintegrated out of existence within a second, leaving a blood puddle behind, while the luckier ones were slammed with a wind so strong that it broke their bones and sent them flying far away.

Geralt clenched his teeth as he noticed the scene. ’Get out of the way, you idiots!’

"HAHAHAHAHAHA! COME ON! SHOW ME MORE OF THE STRONGEST VAMPIRE HUNTER!"

Clashing again, they exchanged fast punches.

’This black energy he’s using has a high resistance to physical attacks. It is absorbing my punches better than I expected. His reaction speed is also not that inferior. He is still slower than me, but he is compensating for that with his ability to take punches.’

He had spent the past few minutes understanding his opponent and reading their pattern. This vampire was chaotic in his battle style; he relied on chaos to attack and defend.

He was extremely unpredictable and almost crazed. Even in his eyes, he could see that blood thirsty craze.

However, that was nothing. Geralt was no beginner. As the strongest, he had fought all kinds of vampires and monsters. This style of battle was something he knew how to counter.

As they clashed again, Geralt suddenly vanished. The vampire raised an eyebrow as he quickly created a wall of defense around him to stop any attack.

He expected Geralt to attack from a blind point. Except that the attack didn’t come from any angle, and it didn’t even come from the sky. Instead...

He felt the earth shake beneath his feet as, suddenly, a silhouette emerged from the dirt inside his walls. Before he could even react, a punch had dug into his guts, bending his entire body like a twig.

*BOOOOOOOOM*

Sent flying like a rocket, the vampire slammed into dozens of trees and bounced on the ground many times, creating a large cloud of dust.

Eventually, he came to a stop as he lay on his back.

"Cough, cough..." Twisting to the side, he coughed a big mouthful of black blood as he held his stomach. "You got me, you bastard... Hahahaha... UGH!"

Before he could recover, he felt a foot slam into his body, pinning him down roughly.

"One question," Geralt said coldly, his aura pressing on the vampire with full weight. He felt as if he was being physically crushed, and it made him squint in pain. "Who are these two individuals you’re talking about?"

"... Cough, cough..." The vampire coughed a few more times before he finally looked at Geralt and said. "You won’t escape that fate. Even if you knew who they are... Your time is coming."

Then, slowly, his body started liquifying. Geralt’s expression darkened. ’How is he escaping? I’m forcing him within my aura field; he shouldn’t be able to escape... Unless...’

That was when it struck him. Perhaps that wasn’t even the main body... And rather than a clone or a shadow, he sent him to fight.

The main body wasn’t there to be contained.
