My Whole Class Isekai'd to a Xianxia? Good Thing I Can Do Mind-reading-Chapter 335: Peaceful Cultivation
After Feng Fan's overwhelming victory against Green Mountain, his name spread like wildfire across the universe. Red Pole had already gained notoriety after defeating the Obsidian Court, but now the truth behind their triumph was unveiled—Red Pole's secret weapon was a tier 9 Array Master.
Within a week, the news reached every corner of the Intergalactic Council's territory. Civilizations that had once looked down on Red Pole now withdrew their challenges in silence, their bravado dissolved the moment they confirmed the truth. No one thought they had a chance against the man who had single-handedly crushed an army of a hundred thousand.
The corners of Feng Fan's lips curled into a smile. 'Finally, some peace and quiet. I might actually get to cultivate properly for once.'
Or so he thought.
"Senior Feng…"
A chorus of respectful voices echoed in front of his abode in the White Crow Sect. A group of elderly cultivators, each with one foot already in the grave, stood before him, bowing with cupped fists. Feng Fan sat beside Huang Xue with an annoyed look on his face, already regretting not sealing off the formation that let them in.
"My name is Xue Feng, of Seven Swords," said the leading old man, his tone reverent yet urgent. "We come seeking your aid. The minions of the Four Demon Venerables have begun to move…"
Feng Fan rolled his eyes. "What do the minions of the Four Demon Venerables have to do with me? Can't you people handle them yourselves?"
"This…" Xue Feng suddenly felt like a fishbone had lodged in his throat. Feng Fan's tone was far from enthusiastic, clearly annoyed, and completely disinterested in helping. But the Intergalactic Council couldn't afford to waste this opportunity. A tier 9 Array Master? That was a once-in-an-eternity asset.
In the countless millions of years since the Council's founding, Feng Fan was the first to reach such a level.
Fortunately, Fan Ying stepped in on their behalf, betraying their earlier agreement to let Feng Fan cultivate in peace. Her voice was soft, but persuasive.
"Why not just help fortify a few defensive locations?" she said. "It shouldn't take too long. If they manage to break through the Intergalactic Council's defenses, won't your peace and quiet be disturbed anyway?"
Xue Feng immediately nodded like a chicken pecking rice. "Yes, yes, exactly, Senior Feng! Just a few key locations, nothing too taxing. We've been handling the Demon Venerables' spawn for millions of years. With just a little help from you, we can guarantee your seclusion remains untouched!"
Feng Fan shot him a sideways glance, his brow twitching. "If you've managed for millions of years already, why do you suddenly need me? Just keep doing whatever it is you've been doing."
Xue Feng nearly choked. 'Why couldn't I just shut up?!'
Just then, Huang Xue, who had been silently sitting beside Feng Fan, gently squeezed his hand. Her voice was quiet, almost hesitant.
"Why don't we go…?" she said, cheeks reddening. "It probably won't take long. We could help a lot of people… and maybe see some new places along the way."
As she spoke, her face turned a deeper shade of red. Holding Feng Fan's hand so openly, with so many people watching, made her heart race. But even so, she didn't let go.
Feng Fan sighed in resignation. There were just too many reasons to help. Of course, the main one definitely wasn't because Huang Xue had asked him. No, that would be ridiculous. He was a man of steel—firm in resolve, unmoved by sweet voices or pretty faces. Obviously. At least… in his mind.
Suppressing the urge to grumble, he turned to Xue Feng with a cold expression and finally gave his answer.
"Fine. Send me the locations where you need support and what exactly you want me to do. As long as I don't have to face the Demon Venerables' minions head-on, I'll lend a hand."
Xue Feng's eyes lit up with joy. A tier 9 Array Master personally fortifying their defenses? That was more than a blessing; it was a miracle. With Feng Fan's help, they might even have a chance to reclaim some lost territory.
"Thank you, Senior Feng," Xue Feng said, bowing respectfully with cupped hands. Though there was a vast gap in both age and cultivation realm, he didn't dare show the slightest trace of arrogance or disrespect. In the world of cultivators, only strength and skill determine one's worth, and Feng Fan's value far exceeds his own.
"We can depart right away if you wish. Our ship is waiting just outside, Senior Feng," Xue Feng offered eagerly.
Feng Fan nodded, but didn't make a move to leave. "I'll need a few hours to prepare. I'll come after that. You can go now."
With Feng Fan's word, Xue Feng and the other elders excused themselves, leaving Fan Ying, Feng Fan, and Huang Xue alone.
Feng Fan turned to Fan Ying with a fake hurt expression. "Didn't you promise not to disturb me? Elder Ying, how could you break our sacred trust so easily?"
Fan Ying simply smiled, unbothered. "I'll be taking my leave now. I wish you a peaceful journey." And with that, she turned and gracefully exited, leaving the two behind.
He let out a sigh and stood. His gaze landed gently on Huang Xue. "Xue, I need to handle a few things. I'll meet you outside the White Crow Sect when it's time to leave, alright?"
Huang Xue nodded, stood up, and gave him a soft kiss on the lips before quickly turning around and scurrying off like a rabbit chased by a lion. Her bashful retreat made a smile bloom on Feng Fan's face.
'Ah… such a cute girl.'
Feng Fan left his abode and made his way toward the White Crow Sect's defensive array core. Before departing, he intended to reinforce the sect's defensive formations one last time. How could he leave his home unprotected?
And thus, peace slipped through Feng Fan's fingers once again.
