My Wife is a Dead Villainess, and I'm Her Living Weapon-Chapter 182: Soon
Seeing the message the system displayed, Elian licked his lips in excitement. This prompt was Earth-wide; thus, anyone above clearance level 0 would get it.
Originally, the vast majority of humanity was at level 0. But a single stream from Elian changed all that. Due to Elian revealing that monsters were not mindless beasts but were, in reality, aliens invading for conquest, the world order shifted.
Yes.
Elian didn’t mind the other candidates trying to assassinate him. He couldn’t care less about them abandoning Crestfall and all its people. Even the fact that his pitiful life as a Defect was a lie didn’t matter.
Only one thing did. They ganged up on and killed the woman Elian loved.
That was the only thing he could never forgive. And for that sin, he would take everything they had. Their riches, their clout, their lives. Elian’s body trembled in excitement at what he had in store for the bastards who ruled the world.
"By the time I am done with you all..." he murmured, "you will regret not having died earlier."
Prior to the Weapons of Valestra coming to life, the Big Three stood uncontested. They owned Earth in simple terms. From politics, industry, and education to even history, the three factions reign supreme.
Everyone else had no choice but to agree to their demands in the interest of self-preservation. Despite all the shady crap they did, hardly anyone complained.
After all, the big three were the saviors who guarded their cities from the monsters.
This single truth is the cornerstone of current society.
Whether it was by design by the Big Three or just coincidence, they failed to disclose that Earth had joined a brutal intergalactic competition. One whose results ended in only two outcomes. Survival or annihilation.
Like a drug addict who cared about nothing beyond the next hit, the earth stumbled on. Despite the coming danger, it remained weak and stupid. Heaven’s Fist, the Crows, and the conspiracies, like any government, had skeletons in their closets.
And now, one of those skeletons came back to life. Ironically, while Elian would kill them all, he was also the only one working to prepare the Earth for what was to come.
While the Big Three ran around putting out fires like headless chickens, he would tighten the noose around their necks. After the invasion, the final death match between the candidates would ensue.
"Soon," Elian whispered in satisfaction. Barely a year ago, he was a no-name Defect studying in school. Now he was a Tyrant Candidate preparing for intergalactic conquest.
But then a cold hand grabbed his fist, along with a gentle voice whispering, "Elian? Please come back to me." The unease in Bianca’s voice was obvious; she probably grew concerned about his mental state.
"Oh? I’m sorry. Did I ripple again?"
"Uhm. No, you did not. I just felt a dark and oppressive feeling looming over you." Bianca paused and added with a frown, "I don’t like it. It’s scary."
Seeing her concern, Elian took her hand to his mouth and kissed the back of her hand. "I am sorry, Bianca. I am all right now. See? No more dark clouds and stuff," he grinned.
Bianca cautiously studied Elian’s face for a few seconds, her face tense. Still grinning, Elian waited in silence.
"Sigh. I guess it’s fine now. Please be mindful, Elian. I worry."
"Yes, darling. I will."
The two exchanged a short kiss before turning to see the severed heads in front of them. Elian raised his hand and ordered in an emotionless voice, "Devour."
Shark-like beings launched from the door and tore the heads to pieces within seconds. As Golem Lake followed with Elian as the center, there were no other corpses left. Everything was already broken down and turned into materials.
Elian quickly glanced at his own status window and grimaced. Unlike the other dungeons, he didn’t even level up once despite killing everything in this place.
"Sigh, how boring; this feels like a waste of time," he turned to Bianca, only for her to frown unhappily.
"How could you say that? Take that back! We gained the Slinky corps and the fifth mark! It wasn’t a waste! I won’t let you call my children a waste!"
"The what?"
At her rebuttal, Elian drew a blank. She adorably puffed up her cheeks and crossed her arms. It was unthinkable to see Bianca so animated when they first met; now the once-cold villainess was both silly and full of expression.
"Slinky Corps! It’s what I named the Naga! They should also have a ’y’! It’s a sign that they are part of our family," the witch defended.
"A y?"
She then began counting with her fingers, "Fluffy, Burny, Woody, and now Slinky! I mistakenly asked you to name them, but I still fixed that by giving the entire group a name." 𝙛𝓻𝒆𝒆𝒘𝙚𝓫𝙣𝙤𝒗𝙚𝓵.𝙘𝙤𝙢
Elian couldn’t help but gawk at Bianca. While she was normally elegant and had an air of sophistication, there were times she was just an oddball. Such as when giving her minions childish names.
But as Elian was overly doting on her, he relented.
"I see. Then I apologize, Bianca; I am sorry for saying that doing this dungeon was a waste of time. I am glad we have the Slinky Corps by our side."
"Really?"
"Really."
A dazzling smile bloomed on Bianca’s face as she clung to him. Unconsciously, the witch cradled her body, and Elian caught her in a bridal carry. "Mhm! I forgive you. Let’s hurry home. I miss Mom, Dad, Fluffy, and Aunt Sunny. and everyone else."
"Okay, let’s go."
Elian and Bianca were about to leave, but Epsilon came forward and smashed her forehead on the ground.
"My Tyrant, my Anchor, please forgive me for overstepping. I am but a servant. But can you please revive the rest of the Naga who fell here today?"
Even without meaning to, a wave of bloodlust surged from Elian; he glared at Epsilon, who trembled on the ground. Like a leaf, Epsilon shook as she waited in terror.
The named Naga knew full well whose wrath she would incur for her bold request. But as the one who instigated the massacre today, she felt responsible.
"..."
Elian said nothing. It was not his decision to make. The seconds felt like days as everyone waited. The fate of tens of thousands hung on the words of but one woman. The Psychomancer in Elian’s arms.
"Okay," the goddess replied cheerfully. "I will bring them back. However, I have a command—no, a request."
Epsilon raised her head and cried tears of molten ore, "Thank you! Thank you so much, Anchor! Please state your command! The Slinky Corps will fulfill it!"
"Please, protect Fralhame. Once we conquer your world, I want whomever will be your sub-Tyrant to use Ysh-Natul as an axis world for my homeworld."
"I UNDERSTAND! I! EPSILON OF THE SLINKY CORPS VOWS TO MAKE IT SO!"
Smiling, Bianca nodded. She then peeked at Elian before whispering, "Uhm, Elian, my beloved penguin, the sweetest, most remarkable man in this universe. Can you please help me?"
Laying on her adoration thick like syrup, Bianca sang endless praises for her partner. Elian had to stop himself from rolling his eyes. He wanted to saw Epsilon in two, but decided to follow the will of his woman.
"Enslave."
With one command, thousands rose from Golem Lake. Clustered together, it looked like an army borne from the shadows that suddenly appeared.
"Hehe, love you!" Bianca giggled.
Completely contrasting with the dark, a galaxy of golden lights appeared above the golem army. At the center of it all was Bianca, whose eyes shone gold as her body channeled terrifying amounts of mana.
"Soul Bind."
And just like that, the ceremony of steel and soul once again commenced. For the next ten minutes, golden lights raced to find the appropriate black vessel. With each pair, a new Weapon opened its eyes.
Of course, there were lights that chose not to look and simply passed on, but those were in the minority. Eighty percent of the lights came forward and joined the Slinky corps. Elian couldn’t help but marvel at his lover.
She shone like a sun, guiding stars towards the constructs he made. Her smile only grew wider with each Naga warrior who chose to be reborn as a Weapon. When the ceremony finally ended, Bianca collapsed in the Tyrant’s arms.
"Tsk. I told you it was too much," Elian couldn’t help but rebuke.
The witch smiled wryly as she placed her hand on her lover’s cheek. "I am sorry, Elian. Please indulge my selfishness for a bit. Please guard me while I rest?"
Elian nodded silently; he would not have allowed anyone else to guard her anyway. Bianca’s soul form was still intact, so it wasn’t truly an emergency, but knowing that her health faltered placed Elian in a foul mood.
"I will be returning to Crestfall. Keep up."
"As you command, Tyrant," the named Naga answered respectfully.
Elian led the large procession of Golems outside the dungeon. The gate through which they entered vanished, marking the dungeon’s operation officially ended. Before running, Elian turned to the army behind him and gave one instruction.
"Kill anything that tries to stop you."
"Yes, Tyrant!" the army roared in unison.
It was only then that Elian began to run back home. Bianca was securely glued to his back and once again was resting. Behind the pair was the Slinky Corps, a tide of metal and death that would soon make the entire world cower.
