My Wife is a Dead Villainess, and I'm Her Living Weapon-Chapter 238: Legend
"Pwe!" Ned spat out the molten ore pooling in his mouth as he turned to Elian, "So? You got a plan?"
"I do. Huff. We attack. Huff."
Hearing his friend's thoughtless words, Ned smacked his friend's shoulder.
"Are you crazy? There are trillions of them. We tried everything; they are all really powerful. And they are on their way here! Didn't you see the memories?"
Elian got up with a loud grunt and wiped the dirt off his pants. Then, within a single instant, his body grew more muscular and got encased in white armor. Ned similarly morphed his appearance and returned to the armored black knight he originally came as.
"I did. But that hardly matters. No matter how many there are, once he is gone, they will vanish. Unlike the Weapons of Valestra, his faction has no free will."
"You don't know that. What if they act on the final command they are given even after the big guy is dead? We cannot handle that many, Elian. Even with all the power we amassed while you were gone, it's not enough."
Elian gazed at Ned's worried face and smirked.
"Ned, this is why you are the shield. You are meant to defend. I had and always have been a sword, a blade, a Weapon. I will cut my way to the bastard and end this thing once and for all. For all our sakes."
The Sub Tyrant of Earth studied Elian's face for a moment. Then he let out a loud sigh of exasperation before rubbing the back of his head.
"Well, I had millennia with Char. I even have kids, although they were all adopted. Even if I did die soon, I don't mind. But you are still young, Elian. You haven't even graduated from being a virgin."
"W-What? Says who?" Elian snapped.
Ned made a mischievous face while tapping his temple. "Memories of metal, brother. Given how much fighting you have been doing all this time, there hasn't been any moment to rest. In that regard, I pity you."
Elian clenched his fist and swung it with full power toward Ned. However, his friend evaded the blow, causing a loud shockwave to pass through the area into the sky.
"Don't get testy because I'm right."
At that moment, two women walked forward. It was Bianca and Charlotte. Both of them had swollen eyes and leaned on each other. Elian quickly left Ned and reached for his wife. Bianca similarly stepped away from Charlotte and rushed to Elian.
"You cried again."
"Yeah."
"Are you all right now?"
"I am now that you are with me."
The pair said no more and just embraced each other tighter. Enjoying the other's warmth, they allowed a few moments to pass. Ned and Charlotte were similarly united by the side.
Apart from the four of them, two armies were kneeling to their left and to their right.
Elian took a moment to look at the humans; the Big Three were there, but he also saw a lot of familiar faces. Former friends and allies like Tessa Potts, Marcus Steel, and the Beacon Party, and enemies he once put down like Heaven's Fist and Arjun Sharma.
But he didn't reach out to them. After all, in this life, he never met any of them. At least not him specifically.
"Ned, about my life here…"
"It's the Tyrant of End's story. Trevor didn't bully you, so you didn't end up in the Red Ant dungeon. But after you graduated, you became a breaker and went MIA on a mission."
Bianca, who heard Ned's explanation, shuddered. She grabbed Elian's body tighter as if she were his only lifeline.
"The Bianca of this world is named Beatrice Sanders. We only found out because she was the one with ice powers who turned you into a golem."
"I see, and my parents?"
"They were supposed to die in a large avalanche that struck your hometown. We saved them, but allowed everyone else to think they were dead. The Psychomancers have kept them in suspended animation."
"Thank you. Who is keeping tabs on the Tyrant of the End?"
At that point, Silent raised her head and replied, "That would be Stiletto, son-in-law. We use her unit of Beowolves to keep an eye on him. He has already revolted against this universe's Bianca. I have received word from Bastion that the rogue weapons have all come back to life."
Hearing Silent's report, Elian, Bianca, Charlotte, and Ned all grimaced. Those who saw the carnage the Weapons could unleash would find it hard to remain stoic. They marched with zero regard for life and killed anything that drew breath.
"Where are they concentrating now, Mother-in-law?"
"It is as the Tyrant of the End commanded; they have begun killing everything around them and are on a direct path toward Earth. Our forces, which are nearby, have intercepted, but we cannot hold them back for long. They outnumber us a thousand to one."
"Then it's time to go. Bianca, will you come with me?" Elian whispered to the woman in his embrace.
"Of course, my love. It's time to fight for our happy ending."
Elian kissed Bianca's head affectionately before turning to address everyone present.
"Ned, Charlotte. You have been commanding the forces of Earth and the Weapons far longer than I have. We have two objectives: protect Earth and fight our way to Ereval."
Ned lost all the playfulness he had and knelt in reverence. "I understand. Then I will hold the defense line on Earth. Woody and his Legion will escort you there. Can you also bring the human Breakers?"
At his question, Elian tilted his head in confusion, "Why? Why would they even want to join this battle? The humans have nothing to gain from it…"
Before Elian could finish his words, Seraphi Cavour, the former pope of the Truthsong church, cried out in defiance.
"That is not true, Lord Tyrant! As a follower of Valestra, I cannot in good conscience remain idle. We have been raised by the Tyrant and Anchor of Earth to serve as a force for good. And we shall abide by it!"
Elian gawked at her response. Seraphi might have been a pope, but he knew she was no saint; she was manipulative, selfish, and cruel. Yet the one before him had a completely different outlook. There was no malice or inkling of deceit from her.
Another slammed his weapon to the ground and roared, "Lord Tyrant! I am Gerald R. Nobel, leader of the Noble Ascendancy. Please let us join this fight! It is our honor and privilege to fight and die for such a worthy cause. This is our Noblesse oblige! Please let us fight with you!"
The Tyrant of Will blanked out for a single moment. His own prejudices tried to see if these people were trying to trick him. The Big three he knew were not good people.
Just how in the world are they so different? Did Ned and Charlotte do something to them? Are they trying to find a weakness and stab us all in the back?
But then Bianca's voice echoed in his mind.
Be still, my love. I trust them. I believe people can change, just as we have. Something must have helped shape their mentality, and I believe it's you.
Me?
Bianca nodded her head with a happy expression.
People respond to kindness, Elian. In a world that had none, the people would grow callous and cruel. But think about it. This world had the Weapons of Valestra, our children in it. They saved and nurtured. I believe this is the result. A world that has nobility, kindness, and strength.
Even with her explanation, Elian felt conflicted. While he did plan to save people, he hadn't even done it yet. His entire legacy in universe #150 was butchering people left and right. If the world learned kindness, it couldn't have been from him.
But then yet another voice spoke up, the final Big Tree that led the third faction of Earth.
Shang Jian placed his fists together in a martial arts salute and spoke curtly.
"Lord Tyrant, my faction and I, the Bloodright of Conquest, have always fought for the highest bidder. However, seeing the heroes from legend, it is impossible for us not to want to fight with you. Much like Seraphi and Gerard, please let us join you."
"Heroes of legend?"
Confused, Elian turned to Charlotte and Ned, who smiled mischievously. They both pointed to the sun and said at the same time.
"It was Katri's idea." x2
Fluffy suddenly approached Bianca and Elian and handed them a large tablet-like device.
"Here, they mean this," she added. A video was shown on screen, and it had an image of Elian and Bianca. Their original appearances in Universe #150. Fluffy flicked her finger to change the display, and it showed a book title.
"My wife is a dead villainess and I'm her living weapon? What is this?"
Fluffy then made a triumphant smile as she explained, "Congratulations, lunatic, you are now an earth legend comparable to King Arthur, Thor, and Sun Wu Kong."
"W-Whaat?"
