My Wife, The Ice Queen President-Chapter 411 - : The Down-and-Out Protagonist (Second More)_1
Chapter 411: The Down-and-Out Protagonist (Second More)_1
“Auntie, can I see Xinyi?” Ye Xiong asked.
“Xinyi said she doesn’t want to see you, you can leave now.”
“Auntie…”
Ye Xiong’s voice trailed off, his expression pitiful.
“Don’t play the sympathy card with me, I’m telling you, it doesn’t work on me,” Yang Yueru glared at him with a look of indignation, angrily said, “Tell me, what did Xinyi do wrong to you?”
“She didn’t do anything wrong, it’s me who wronged her,” Ye Xiong weakly replied.
...
“I could accept you being fickle, but how could you divorce her? Do you have any idea how many men wanted to pursue her and couldn’t, and here you are, actually divorcing her.”
Yang Yueru grew angrier as she thought about it, her ample chest heaving violently with every breath.
So big, although he had seen them before, they were still imposing on a second glance.
Ye Xiong wished he could slap himself, what was he thinking at a time like this, his eyes still so uncontrolled.
He quickly moved his gaze away from her East African Great Rift Valley and onto her face, saying pitifully, “Auntie, things aren’t actually what you think, let me in and I’ll explain to Xinyi.”
“Xinyi has given a firm order, she doesn’t want to see you, just go!” Yang Yueru said this and was about to close the door.
Ye Xiong quickly propped the door open with his hand, anxiously saying, “Auntie, this matter is complicated, the divorce with Xinyi is actually…”
In that moment, he didn’t know how to explain.
Should he tell her that their previous marriage had been a sham and they had only started to truly like each other later on? That would only make things more confusing the more he tried to explain.
Suddenly, he had an idea and quickly said, “Auntie, if you help me, I will cure Uncle’s hidden condition and you can be happy again.”
When Ye Xiong had learned the Nine Acupoint Divine Needles, he had also been taught by Gongsun Yang a method of acupuncture for treating men’s issues. Even though he wasn’t sure if it would work, this was the only way to persuade his aunt.
Yang Yueru’s cheeks flew up a shade of red, her expression shy like a little girl’s.
She glared resentfully at Ye Xiong then looked down and said, “Whether it gets cured or not, I don’t care.”
“If you really don’t care, then forget it,” Ye Xiong said, pretending to leave helplessly.
He didn’t believe that auntie wouldn’t want to cure her husband’s illness.
Having taken just a few steps, Yang Yueru quickly called out to him, “Wait a second.”
“Auntie, do you agree?”
Yang Yueru looked around to make sure no one had overheard, then said, “Do you really have a way to cure Jianjun?”
“I can’t guarantee a cure, but there’s a seventy to eighty percent chance of success.”
“If it doesn’t work, you’ll see how I settle the score with you.”
Yang Yueru opened the security door and pointed inside to a room, indicating that Yang Xinyi was in there.
Ye Xiong walked to the doorway of the room, took a deep breath, and gently knocked on the door.
Yang Xinyi thought it was Yang Yueru, opened the door, and upon seeing Ye Xiong, she hurriedly tried to close it again.
Ye Xiong pushed against the door not letting her close it.
“Xinyi, let me in and give me a chance to explain,” he pleaded.
“Get out, I don’t want to see you,” Yang Xinyi pushed hard against the door.
Seeing she wasn’t as strong as Ye Xiong, she turned around, walked over to the bed, crawled on it, and covered her head tightly with the quilt.
Ye Xiong walked up to her, attempting to pull the quilt away, but Yang Xinyi clung to it fiercely, not letting him.
“Xinyi, what do I have to do for you to forgive me?” Ye Xiong asked softly.
“I don’t want to see you; just leave.”
“If you don’t forgive me, I’ll just stay here and not leave.”
“If my dad finds out, he won’t let you off lightly.”
“I’m not afraid.”
“I don’t want to see you; can’t you just leave me alone?”
Yang Xinyi suddenly pulled off the blanket, revealing an exhausted face.

Her eyes were swollen, her cheeks hollowed, and her face even had a trace of wrinkles, looking utterly haggard.
In just a few days, the woman as beautiful as a goddess had become so emaciated, creating a pitiful sight.
“Wife, I’m sorry,” Ye Xiong said softly.
Those simple five words made Yang Xinyi’s tears, which she had been holding back, stream down uncontrollably.
Ye Xiong reached out to wipe her tears, but Yang Xinyi slapped his hand away.
“Don’t touch me.”
Before Ye Xiong could say anything else, he suddenly felt a pain on his head.
Yang Dingguo had come in unnoticed, carrying a broom and smashing it viciously onto Ye Xiong’s head.
“You bastard, Xinyi doesn’t want to see you, and you still refuse to leave. I will beat you to death,” Yang Dingguo shouted.
The broom hit Ye Xiong incessantly on the head, forcing him to dodge repeatedly.
Since the other man was his father-in-law, Ye Xiong dared not fight back, only managing to grab the broom to stop him from continuing his assault.
Yang Dingguo pulled a few times but couldn’t break free, so he gave up on the broom and ran outside to find another weapon.
“Please spare me, pretend I’m dead, pretend I don’t exist, alright? Just stop bothering me,” Yang Xinyi cried bitterly, covering her face.
How could she utter such heart-wrenching words unless she was pushed to the utmost sorrow?
Ye Xiong felt as if something was stuck in his throat. His mouth opened for a long time, but not a single word came out.
His heart ached in waves, and his eyes began to moisten.
At that moment, he felt a chill envelop his body as cold water poured down on him.
Yang Dingguo had fetched a bucket of water and splashed it over his head.
“If you don’t leave now, I will dump an entire basin on you,” Yang Dingguo bellowed in anger.
Ye Xiong wiped the water off his face, and just then, a hand grabbed his.
“Why are you still standing there, get going!” Yang Yueru said, dragging him out without further ado.
Ye Xiong, like a puppet, was pulled to the door and pushed out by Yang Yueru.
“Xinyi is still fuming. Let her calm down for a while,” Yang Yueru said before closing the door.
The cold water slid down his hair to his neck and seeped into his clothes, as chilling as the feeling in his heart at that moment.
Ye Xiong stood at the door of the room for a long time before he slowly walked away.
Downstairs, Phoenix saw him coming out, his hair dripping wet, and his shirt halfway soaked, knowing he had hit a wall. For a moment, she didn’t know what to say.
She had never seen Reaper look so down and out.
“Did you find out who took Xinyi?” Ye Xiong asked.
“It’s someone named Duan Wu, a notorious figure of an underground power in Capital City known as San Xing Society. He’s been entrenched in Capital City for many years, mainly engaging in borderline illegal activities. Reportedly, because he has connections above and is very cunning, no one has been able to touch him,” Phoenix explained.
“No one has been able to touch him, huh!” Ye Xiong snorted and asked, “Where is he?”
“Duan Wu has opened a martial arts school in Capital City as a front. He usually stays there,” Phoenix said.
“Where is the martial arts school located?”
“You’re not really thinking of going after him, are you? This is the foot of the imperial city; don’t act rashly,” Phoenix urged anxiously.
“I asked you, where is the martial arts school?” Ye Xiong’s voice grew colder.
“Dongchun Road, number 24, Renyi Martial Arts School,” Phoenix replied.
Ye Xiong went to the roadside, snatched the keys from a Dragon Group member, got into the car, and sped away.
Watching the car disappear, Phoenix sighed.
The current Ye Xiong, looking completely irrational, didn’t worry her because of what might happen to him; she worried that in a fit of rage, there was no telling how many people might suffer.
She quickly got into another car and chased after him.
