My Wives Are Seven Beautiful Demonesses-Chapter 125 - No. WTF?! Who is she again?
[Location: Dungeon—Vampire King’s Castle]
The lid rose with a long, ancient groan.
Light spilt out—
Golden. Sacred. Powerful.
Astra gasped softly.
Paimon stiffened.
Draugr froze mid-stomp.
Vael’s tendrils curled in awe.
Bob vibrated reverently.
Even Erebus’s unreadable gaze sharpened.
Inside the chest...
Was...
A curled up... girl?!
"...Huh?"
Erebus stepped forward, voice low.
"My king... step back."
"...Huh?"
Erebus stepped forward, voice low.
"My king... step back."
For once, I didn’t argue.
I stepped back one entire step.
Astra stepped forward zero steps because she was already leaning over my shoulder like a nosy aunt.
"Oooh~ what kind of loot comes in girl form~?" she whispered.
"WHY ARE YOU ASKING THAT LIKE IT’S NORMAL?!" I hissed.
Inside the chest, the girl remained curled like someone tossed a sleeping angel into a treasure vault.
Small.
Delicate.
Glowing faintly.
Her hair, silver-white with faint golden tips —long, silky, too smooth for someone who had apparently been stuffed inside a century-old treasure chest.
Her eyelashes were pale gold.
Her skin glowed with a soft radiance like she was carved from holy marble.
And she wore—
"A... white... dress?" I muttered.
Pure white.
Pure-clean white.
Pure-innocent white.
"Why is she glowing," I whispered. "Why is she literally glowing?"
Astra tilted her head.
"My king~ she is adorable. Should I poke her?"
"ABSOLUTELY NOT—"
But Astra already poked her.
The girl twitched.
A soft ringing sound filled the chamber—like bells chiming underwater.
Paimon stiffened further.
Draugr took a step back, stomping once in unease.
Vael’s shadow tendrils curled in fear.
Even Bob vibrated quietly.
(Quiet vibrating = Very Bad.)
Erebus raised a hand.
"Do not touch her again," he said sharply.
Astra froze mid-poke.
"But she’s cute."
"She may also be lethal," Erebus said dryly.
Paimon nodded solemnly.
Draugr stomped a stomp that meant: "Looks fragile. Probably dangerous. Kill?"
"NO! NO KILLING!" I hissed at them.
I stepped closer and peered inside the chest.
"She looks like... an angel?"
Astra hummed thoughtfully.
"An angel wouldn’t be in a vampire chest."
"...Are you sure?"
"Yes," she said confidently.
"Why?"
"Because angels smell like sugar," she said.
"Just shut up." I groaned.
Astra leaned slightly closer again.
Sniff.
Pause.
"...She smells like sugar," Astra whispered.
Everybody froze.
Erebus narrowed his eyes.
"The Vampire King would never store an angel."
A long silence.
Then Bob vibrated once in a "logical countersuggestion" manner.
"...Unless he wanted to eat her later," I muttered.
Erebus nodded. "Plausible."
"THAT WAS A JOKE!"
A low hum came from the chest.
A soft, radiant pulse.
Then—
The girl’s fingers twitched.
Her wings—two small, fluffy, white feathery wings—unfolded slightly from her back like stretching kittens.
Yes.
She had wings.
She had tiny baby angel wings.
Astra gasped.
"KYAAAAA~ SHE’S SO CUTE—"
"Astra," I said sharply. "Step back, and stay there."
My commanding voice instantly got through to her, as she hung her masked head and stood behind me.
’Okay, system if she is part of the loot, then I expect a description.
Tti-ring!
[Name: ???]
— Rarity: ???
— Type: Ancient Angel
— ??? was created by ??? for ??? and ??? is bound to the host, making her the host’s Eternal Partner.
"..."
’...System...’ I whispered internally, teeth grinding. ’...I swear to Lucifer’s left toenail—IF YOU MADE ME ACCIDENTALLY MARRY AN UNKNOWN HOLY NUCLEAR BOMB I WILL—’
Tti-ring~
[Clarification: Host has not married ???]
[Host is bound to ???]
[Meaning: ??? is linked to host’s soul, existence, and destiny.]
[Equivalent Status: Eternal Partner.]
...
"...THAT’S WORSE!!"
If my soul had knees, they would have collapsed.
Bound?
Soul-linked??
DESTINY-LOCKED???
I didn’t even know her NAME.
Astra whispered, "My king... why is there a baby angel girl in Dracula’s basement?"
"HOW AM I SUPPOSED TO KNOW?!"
I stared inside the chest.
And that’s when the girl’s eyes flickered open.
Slowly.
Dazzling.
Golden.
Radiant.
Filled with absolute innocence—like someone who has never said a bad word in her entire pure little life.
"Mm...?"
Her voice was the tiniest squeak.
Her eyes met mine.
Immediately, the entire dungeon brightened with a holy glow.
Everyone—
EVERYONE—
instinctively recoiled.
Even Erebus took one small step back.
Astra shielded her mask.
Paimon covered the slit in his helm.
Bob vibrated in a losing battle against holiness.
And the little girl blinked up at me. And slightly tilted her head—
"...Papa?"
My soul left my body.
Astra choked.
Paimon froze mid-bow.
Draugr stomped a confused stomp.
Bob vibrated a "WHAT?!" frequency.
Erebus... blinked.
Very slowly.
"...Papa?" I repeated, horrified.
The little girl sat up, rubbed her eyes with tiny hands, and smiled—smiled the smile of a creature who had never seen violence, evil, or my internet search history.
"Papa," she said again.
And she raised her arms toward me.
For a hug.
A holy hug.
"A-A-A-Astra—" I whispered.
"Yes, my king?" she whispered back.
"WHY DOES SHE THINK I’M HER FATHER?!"
Astra tilted her head innocently.
"Well~ my king..."
"Yes?"
She smiled sweetly.
"To be fair... You do have a fatherly aura around you."
"The fuck!" I sputtered. "What do you MEAN fatherly aura— I don’t even have children! I’ve never even— I didn’t— WHAT?!"
Astra gently patted my back, as if comforting a man who had just learned that gravity is optional.
"My king," she said soothingly, "you are strong, dependable, commanding, responsible—"
"I am NONE OF THOSE THINGS CONSISTENTLY!"
"—and emotionally repressed in an adorable way."
"That is NOT—"
"Papa?" the angel girl repeated, in a soft voice that could probably cure depression by accident.
Her golden eyes were wide, shimmering with starlike innocence.
Her tiny hands still stretched up to me.
She wanted me to pick her up.
She wanted ME to pick her up.
Me.
Dominic "accidental father of unknown holy entities" Morningstar.
I backed up until I hit Astra.
Astra pushed me forward.
I hit the chest again.
"STOP PUSHING ME AT THE HOLY TODDLER!"
"But she thinks you’re her papa," Astra said, shrugging. "It is only polite to greet your... child?"
"ASTRA, I SWEAR—"
Erebus stepped forward, voice low, unsettling, and far too calm.
"My king," he said. "This is uncharted territory. I recommend approaching with caution."
"Caution," I repeated. "Caution. Caution... Caution like... with a holy nuclear bomb."
"Correct," Erebus said.
"Useful. Thank you."
"Yes."
Then he shoved me toward the child.
He SHOVED me.
"ET TU, EREBUS?!"
Erebus bowed deeply."My king, perhaps... granting her a small acknowledgement might stabilize her energy. That holy aura is beginning to irritate us, shadows."
Indeed. The air shimmered like sunlight in a cathedral.
Shadows recoiled like offended cats.
Bob was vibrating in a frequency that screamed: PURE PANIC.
Even Vael’s tendrils had curled up like dying flowers.
Draugr stomped a stomp that meant: "HOLY LIGHT BAD. MAKE IT STOP."
The angel girl blinked.
Then her little wings fluttered.
And the glow intensified.
"Oh no," Astra whispered cheerfully. "She’s powering up out of sadness because Papa isn’t hugging her."
"I— I AM NOT— WHY DOES SHE HAVE FEELINGS TIED TO ME?!"
The system pinged.
Tti-ring~
[Because Host and ??? share a Soul-bound Link.]
[Emotional resonance is normalized.]
[If ??? feels rejected by the Host → Emotional instability will increase.]
[If emotional instability increases → Divine Resonance will surge.]
[If Divine Resonance surges → Dungeon integrity may collapse.]
[If Dungeon integrity collapses → All entities inside will perish.]
...
Everyone stared at me.
Draugr stomped a stomp that meant:
HUG THE CHILD OR WE ALL DIE.
Bob vibrated a "HUG HER YOU DUMBASS" pattern.
Astra whispered: "My king~ consequences~"
I swallowed hard.
I crouched down.
Very slowly.
And I said the words that officially ended my sanity:
"H...Hey. Uh... kiddo?"
The little angel girl instantly brightened.
Her wings fluttered like excited butterflies.
She lifted her hands higher.
"Papa!" she squeaked.
"I AM NOT— okay, okay, okay— FINE! FINE, COME HERE, JUST— DON’T EXPLODE."
I reached out.
Very carefully.
As if picking up a bomb disguised as a kitten.
She latched onto me with surprising strength.
Warm.
Soft.
Glowing.
She buried her face in my chest and let out a tiny, relieved sigh.
The holy glow softened instantly, settling into a warm, gentle radiance instead of dungeon-ending annihilation.
My entire shadow squad exhaled in relief.
Astra wiped a dramatic fake tear. "So heartwarming~"
Paimon placed a hand over his chest. (Translation: "Her power no longer harms the environment.")
Vael curled around himself like a melting noodle. (Translation: "Blessed silence...")
Bob vibrated happily.
Erebus nodded. "Crisis avoided."
I was still frozen.
Still holding a glowing celestial toddler.
"I... I am... holding... an angel," I whispered, stunned. Though I was hugged by Gabriel before, but this... this is different.
The girl rubbed her cheek against me like a sleepy kitten.
"Papa warm..."
ASTRA MADE A SOUND.
A SOUND LIKE A DEMON HAVING A CUTENESS OVERDOSE.
"MY KING, I REQUEST PERMISSION TO TAKE PICTURES—"
"No," I said automatically.
"Please?"
"No."
"Just one."
"No!"
The girl peeked up at me, blinking.
"Papa?" she asked softly.
"Yes— I MEAN NO— I MEAN WHAT?!"
She giggled.
GIGGLED.
And—
BOOOOM!
—a soft burst of pure holy light puffed out from her tiny wings like a happy sneeze.
Everyone flinched.
Except me.
Because apparently the holy blast didn’t affect me at all.
It passed through me like warm sunlight.
Astra stared, stunned.
"...My king. Why did that not incinerate you?"
"HOW AM I SUPPOSED TO KNOW?!"
Erebus narrowed his eyes.
"...Only beings with divine authority can bypass the sanctity of an Angel’s resonance."
"...What?"
"Your grandfather was Helel, my king," Astra said sweetly. "You are technically half-angel, hybrid royalty with diluted celestial blood of the most perfect Angel. Perhaps that helped~?"
"DO NOT SAY THAT SO CASUALLY."
The girl tugged my shirt.
I looked down.
She smiled at me—pure, innocent, radiant.
"Papa... name... me?"
My brain blue-screened.
Name her?
NAME HER?
NAME A SOUL-BOUND ANCIENT HOLY ENTITY THAT THE SYSTEM DROPPED IN MY LAP LIKE A BABY DLC PACK?
Astra gasped in delight.
"You get to name her~!"
"No, no— nonono— NO."
Paimon bowed deeply. (Translation: "It would be an honour, my king.")
Vael gargled something (Translation: "S-so cute...")
Even Draugr stomped a stomp that meant: YES. NAME. SMALL. HOLY. THING.
Bob vibrated the angelic version of "Do it."
The girl beamed.
"Papa... name..."
My eye twitched.
I stared at her—
...And something pulled at me.
A feeling.
Deep.
Instinctual.
Unexplainable.
A whisper in my soul:
She belongs with you.
She always has.
She always will.
My breath hitched.
The system pinged again.
Tti-ring~
[Because ??? is soul-bound to Host, her name must be assigned by Host.]
[Host’s chosen name will imprint upon her essence.]
[Warning: Chosen name cannot be changed.]
The girl looked at me expectantly.
Astra leaned over my shoulder again."Pick a cute one~"
"PICK A SAFE ONE," Paimon corrected.
"P-pick one that won’t cause divine calamity..." Vael whimpered.
"Papa name..." she whispered again, reaching up and touching my cheek with tiny glowing fingers.
My heart skipped.
My mouth opened.
And I said—
"...Your name... will be—"
