My Young Husband, The Assasin-Chapter 83: Final
The night scenery of Tokyo was unchanged in Aira’s eyes, or maybe she just hadn’t noticed the changes.
She exhaled slowly, looking blankly across the sweeping landscape before her. She was sitting on the balcony of her room, drinking chamomile tea.
She was deep in thought, lost in her world, and didn’t see that a handsome young man wearing nothing except plain black satin pajamas was coming toward her.
Standing right behind Aira’s chair, the young man’s arms immediately wrapped affectionately around her shoulders. "What are you thinking about, honey?" he whispered, kissing her exposed shoulder.
"You," she replied without a moment’s pause, stroking her dear husband’s cheek.
"Really?" he was pretending not to believe her, teasing her.
"Are you going to ask me to think about another man?" That hit Aira, who frowned in her husband’s displeasure.
"Don’t you dare? Or I will punish you in that bedroom," he threatened.
Aira sighed lightly, turning her gaze to her husband. "Don’t you always punish me even when I haven’t done anything wrong?" she replied.
"Who told you to have such fair skin that turns red so easily? I only kissed you," he defended himself, refusing to be blamed for his uncontrollable lust when it came to his wife.
"Yes, but you also sucked on it," she retorted with an annoyed tone.
"Hehehe..." he chuckled shamelessly.
It had been several years since they got married, but it still felt like they were newlyweds. However, lately, their time together had diminished, and they rarely had the chance to be intimate due to her husband’s busy schedule as both a student and a company leader.
Now, Aira and her husband stood by the edge of the balcony railing to get a clearer view of the scenery outside. However, Aira accidentally caught a glimpse of her husband’s expression, which seemed different, as if he was deep in thought.
"What are you thinking about, Renji-kun?" Aira slipped her arms around Renji’s waist and rested her cheek against his back.
"A lot has happened to us over these past three years," Renji said, unintentionally making Aira reminisce about the events of a few years ago.
"You’re right. Even now, it’s hard to believe that we haven’t had Tetsuya with us like we used to for so long," Aira replied sadly.
"Well, at least he’s not in pain or suffering anymore," Renji whispered as his heart became heavy with sadness. Aira shut her mouth as she understood the sorrow in Renji’s heart, as she, too, felt the loss.
"I wish you would always stay next to me, Aira, and accompany me until the end of my life."
"Of course."
"Thank you for coming into my life and being the most beautiful gift in my life. I love you."
"I love you too, Renji-kun," she kissed his cheek lovingly.
Renji wasn’t a fully grown man; he was still a young man in his early twenties. But his personality was incredibly mature and responsible, just as he had promised when he proposed to her, vowing to make her happy. Renji had done everything to keep Aira happy and comfortable by his side. To this day, he has never broken his promise.
To Aira, the young man holding her now was both her husband and the father of Ryuzaki Ishikawa. In her heart, Aira always thought of Renji as the perfect husband, even though he was seven years younger.
"Renji-kun," Aira called out in the middle of their quiet moment admiring the cityscape.
"Yes," Renji replied, still content holding Aira in his arms.
"I want to tell you something," Aira said.
"Go ahead, I’m listening," Renji replied.
"You are..." Aira trailed off, hesitating.
"What?" Renji asked, curious. Aira hesitated to say anything else, in fear of how Renji might take it. Renji’s expression became ever more interested as he awaited her answer. After that short smile, Aira finally said to Renji what she had wanted to say for so long.
"You are my perfect young husband, a former assassin," she said, referring to Renji’s past occupation with a sly smile.
Renji was quiet for a moment, then smiled gently and kissed Aira on the forehead. "That makes you my old wife," he added teasingly.
A hard hook landed on Renji’s chest, causing Aira’s cheeks to puff up in annoyance. All the same, he merely laughed, pleased that he had riled her.
"Just kidding, honey."
"Hmph!"
Renji chuckled, finding it adorable when his wife got angry. They stood together on the balcony, gazing out at the beautiful night sky of Tokyo, until they heard a toddler whimpering in the room, having woken up and not finding his mother there.
"Mommy~" the child cried, eyes brimming with tears.
The couple looked right away toward where the sound was coming from, and there, in the doorway, was a handsome little boy, too frightened to walk up and intrude. Bouncing a little sulking boy who was a solar eclipse away from being just like Renji, though he was presently even more adorable in pink bunny-decorated pajamas, a gift from Hinami because he won a drawing contest.
"Ryu-kun!" Aira exclaimed in surprise.
She quickly rushed over and picked up their precious child, whose face looked sleepy but was crying because he had been left alone in the room.
"Did you have a bad dream, dear?" she said, stroking his back.
Ryuzaki was nodding in the embrace of his mother.
"Mommy~" he whined cutely.
"Renji-kun, let’s go to bed," Aira called to her husband, who remained at the balcony railing, frozen in place.
"Why so soon?" he sighed sadly.
"Don’t you have an early class tomorrow and a meeting with the professor?" she reminded him, urging him to rest and not stay up too late for the sake of his health.
"Alright," he replied listlessly, following Aira to the bedroom.
Renji’s life could be said to be happy and perfect, as he had the complete family he had always dreamed of. However, there was still a sense of something missing—the absence of someone he had deeply missed for years.
Memories of the events from three years ago resurfaced in Renji’s mind as if they had just happened yesterday.

Panic was unfolding at the hospital, specifically outside the emergency room. The doctors treating the patients inside looked extremely anxious, as the patients’ conditions were critical and difficult to save. But as doctors, they would do everything in their power.
Tetsuya’s eyes gazed weakly at the doctor who was still trying to save him, using all his skills and knowledge as a physician. But the doctor was only human, not a god who could give life or death.
Tetsuya’s eyes became blurry, and he could no longer keep them open. He decided to dot them with a smile.
Renji broke down outside the emergency room, screaming and crying and calling Tetsuya’s name. Renji had been a threat to him, and Haruto had no choice but to subdue him by knocking him out of consciousness.
While unconscious, many things happened that Renji was unaware of, including the actions of his uncle, which would later come as a shocking revelation in the future.
Dozens of fire trucks arrived an hour after the Ishikawa Mansion caught fire, leaving the grand, ancient Japanese-style building almost completely leveled to the ground. Not only that, but the incident also claimed the lives of more than a dozen people who were burned to death, including the owner of the mansion, Kaito Ishikawa, who was confirmed by the police to have died from suffocation, having inhaled too much smoke.
What happened at the Ishikawa Mansion had been cleaned up as neatly as possible by Fujita and Shiro to leave no trace, making the incident appear as nothing more than an accident. After all, Renji had to cover up the truth about the Ishikawa family, even though he hated his grandfather. He didn’t want to tarnish the honor of the Ishikawa family, which had been upheld for generations.
The fire at the Ishikawa Mansion, which claimed the lives of Kaito Ishikawa and his assistant, Ryoji Yakushi, became the main topic in various magazines and private television stations. Kaito Ishikawa was quite well-known in the business world, and many were shocked and found it hard to believe the news.
The family — particularly Haruto Ishikawa, Kaito’s youngest son, who survived the incident — chose not to look any further into the matter. He asked the police to stop all investigative operations. Takamaru also stepped in to help facilitate Haruto’s wishes.
Kaito’s death left Haruto, head of the Ishikawa family, a new fait accompli to fill the place of his father. Although Renji was supposed to take the position, he declined and chose to hand everything over to his uncle as a form of atonement. Under Haruto’s leadership, everything started anew. Even all of Kaito’s shady businesses from the past were abandoned. Now, Haruto focused on building a new business network that did not violate the law or harm others.
Renji’s Hayabusa group was also disbanded, although some of its members chose to continue working, dedicating themselves to Renji until the end of their lives—not as assassins, but as permanent employees in Renji’s company, working under Shiro’s guidance.
Two days after the fire at the Ishikawa Mansion, the family held a funeral ceremony. The news of Kaito’s and Tetsuya’s deaths shocked many, especially those close to Tetsuya, who deeply mourned his passing. Although they had known from the beginning that Tetsuya had been born with a congenital heart condition.
Despite the heaviness of it all, Renji managed to endure, and time passed quickly without him realizing it. Three years had already passed since Tetsuya’s death. Over those three years, many things had changed, and nothing was the same anymore.
Asahi Café still stood, now expanded to two floors, with Aira as the owner and boss, replacing her husband. Although the café was bustling and had become famous, Aira wasn’t entirely happy. Some of her old friends no longer worked there, making the atmosphere less enjoyable.
Shockingly, Issei immediately quit Asahi Café soon after the funeral, leaving Saki behind and calling off their wedding — disappearing completely from her life. There was already a wedding dress picked out and a reception venue selected. But fate had different plans for them , as if they were daft enough to be together in this lifetime, no matter how long they’d been together.
Eventually, Ryuji married Keiko several months later. Soon after the wedding, the couple settled in the countryside with their young family, content to lead a simple life. Thus Ryuji and Keiko became farmers living a simple and quiet life.
After Ryuji left, Saki didn’t want to be left behind and also quit her job at Asahi Café, citing the reason that she wanted to help manage her mother’s flower shop. She was accompanied by Arashi, who chose to follow Saki wherever she went.
Miraculously, Arashi had survived despite the severe gunshot wounds he had sustained. His heart couldn’t be donated to Tetsuya, as the hospital stated that it wasn’t a match.
The relationship between Arashi and Saki could be quite close. Arashi openly showed all kinds of affection toward Saki, but unfortunately, Saki remained indifferent and seemed cold. Perhaps she still couldn’t forget her feelings for Issei or her guilt toward Tetsuya.
In Saki’s consciousness, memories of Tetsuya and their shared moments of beauty and preciousness seemed more forward than the time spent with Issei, her former fiancé.

Fujin’s face looked tense in his black tuxedo, and cold sweat dripped down his forehead.
Arashi and Ryuji, who saw him, chuckled because even someone as fierce as Fujin could look nervous and sweat on what was supposed to be the happiest day of his life. After a long struggle to win the heart of the girl he loved, this sacred moment had finally arrived.
Fujin and Rika getting married had been something many people had been waiting for, causing a surprise to some who were not scientifically aware of how hard Fujin worked to win Rika over.
"Why do you look so glum on such a happy day?" Arashi asked.
"I envy Rika-san and Fujin a little," Saki muttered.
Arashi frowned, confused. "Envious?"
Saki only smiled without speaking, causing Arashi, sitting next to her, to think more and more inexplicable in his heart.
The wedding ceremony itself went well, although Fujin erupted loudly after the priest declared them husband and wife. Of course, his action drew laughter and surprise, and you could see that Fujin was so joyful that he cried.
Secretly, Saki felt envious. She wanted to wear a wedding dress, too, to stand beside someone she loved and exchange vows before God. But it seemed that wasn’t something Saki could experience. It wasn’t that no one loved her wholeheartedly. However, her heart still longed for someone, hoping they would reappear before her, even though she knew it was impossible.
The single girls gathered, waiting for Rika to throw her bouquet. The group included Saki, who stood at the back after Aira had pushed her to join. Saki wished she wouldn’t catch the bouquet.
When the bouquet was tossed, the girls extended their arms in hopes of catching it. But who would have imagined which would reach Saki, who was standing idly there? So shocked, Saki lost her footing and fell over, but luckily, the man standing behind her caught her. Everyone fell silent as they saw the young man in a black suit.
"Thank~..." Saki’s eyes widened in shock as she saw the handsome man beside her.
Saki fell silent, staring in disbelief. It was as if she was seeing a ghost, not a human. The reactions of the others were the same as Saki’s, but of course, Saki was the most shocked.
The man smiled warmly at Saki. "Hi. Long time no see," he greeted kindly after such a long time apart.
Without saying a word, Saki immediately hugged the man in the black suit tightly, tears streaming down her face. "Pale face..."
