Myriad Devils-Chapter 256: This is an achievement, a great success story
Taking him nine or so years to enlighten ten percent, he averaged that it would take him seven times longer to enlighten twenty percent.
That was sixty-three years.
Such a time was nearing.
He estimated that it would take close to four hundred years to enlighten thirty percent.
Those with Transcendent physiques, and only those with Transcendent physiques, could bear the blessing of a principle that leads to thirty percent enlightenment.
One must understand, enlightening ten percent of a principle was a prerequisite to completing the inner cosmos and birthing an inner realm.
Enlightening thirty percent of a principle was a prerequisite to transforming the inner realm into a genuine dimensional space.
This dimensional space contained inconceivable mysteries that made it infinite in size.
He only needed three hundred and eighty or so years to enlighten thirty percent; however, he had a Boundless physique, and he was capable of absorbing much more of a principle’s blessing.
Forty percent...
In less than a thousand years, he would enlighten fifty percent of his four principles!
Even without the improvement of his realm, he would become a so-called ’strongest existence’ the moment he enlightened fifty percent of a principle.
There weren’t many individuals who could say that they enlightened fifty percent of a principle.
Oh, yeah...
The distance between Tenebris’ hollow eyes and Anon’s was less than a hair’s breadth away.
It did not understand why.
Why?
It did not say it aloud, because it was confused.
Why did he not want to touch now?
More importantly, why was it not pleased because he did not touch it?
It had not desired to be touched, and it was happy not to be touched, so why was it now displeased because Anon had left it untouched?
Maddening.
He was driving a paradisical soul mad with confusion.
He had made a paradisical soul feel as if it did not understand itself.
Inwardly, he shook his head mockingly.
The Ghost Autarch had two desires.
There was the desire to know, to see, to understand...
And there was its desire not to touch, not to be touched, and not to mingle.
What would happen if, to understand, it had to mingle and be touched?
He only wished to know which of these desires was more dominant in the Ghost Autarch’s mind, and once he did, it was much simpler to choose his next course of action.
Tenebris had not even realized which of its desires were more dominant.
There was no time before that it was forced to choose... and this was to the point of an extreme, where it did not even fathom the thought of choosing.
Because it was perfect, and it was an Overlord, and an Overlord did not choose between anything, because they could simply pick all things if they so wished.
Many coincidences had stumbled into each other, creating a scenario in which something such as an Overlord could not simply pick all options.
For the first time in its existence, it realized that it wanted to understand more than it wanted to remain untouched...
Or maybe this would not have been the case; however, Anon had made it want to understand him more than that latter desire.
Because he was too complex an abstract soul.
Now that it had come to understand, Tenebris asked, "Why don’t you touch me now? Do you wish to remain untouched, too?"
"Do you want me to touch you?" Anon smirked, and his divine nature burst forth from his radiant, sun-like eyes.
This question was complex.
It was only a handful of words, but it was too complex.
The moment it declined, saying no, it was effectively saying that it did not wish to understand, but its desire to understand was its most fundamental desire.
However, to say yes to Anon’s question was to erase a piece of its own existence, and to completely break away from the essence of a Ghost Autarch, almost akin to the Wandering.
It did not desire to alienate itself completely from its own inherent existence.
However, Anon was waiting for this.
It was almost as if he could read the mind of an Overlord...
"How?" He asked.
"How, by touching me, are you separating from your existential self?" He smiled, knowingly.
"After all, if I am the world..." He paused, only continuing after a moment of thoughtfulness, "If I am your world, touching me is akin to touching the cosmic space..."
He only planted a suggestion, because Tenebris actually wanted to touch...
Yes, it always wanted to touch...
For sure...
"If I am... no, I am..."
"I am your universe, so you graze only me."
"No one else exists, and so, you intermingle with only me."
"I am... I Am!"
He is divine.
He Is Divinity.
He, The Heaven...
Its Heaven...
Its Divine World.
The sense of contentment and fulfillment was incredibly soothing to the soul, and it caused him to moan, and his expressions grew strange...
His Wings of Light stretched out for thousands of miles.
The light that it radiated continuously intensified, and the Divine nature within him was nurtured indefinitely.
Divine patterns etched themselves on his Wings of Light, intensifying the mystic aura that surrounded them.
His entire celestial psyche evolved under the weight of an Overlord’s belief.
This was not yet the belief of a worshipper; however, this was a higher-dimensional creature’s belief in a lesser-dimensional creature...
Essentially, it was a nonsensical belief that did not follow logic.
Anon interlocked his fingers with the Ghost Autarch. The latter continued to stare at this single act for what appeared to be an eternity.
Present in the cosmic space was no paradisical gaze that could peer into the secrets within this Cosmic Vessel.
The vessel was yet to return to the Stellar Threading Pathway, which was within the Star Drifting Monk’s dominion, so there really was no one who could see this besides Him.
Its hollow gaze slowly rose along Anon’s arm, to his shoulder and neck, and then to his face, finally stopping at his eyes.
This gaze was no different than all of its other gazes, but Anon could feel the begging nature behind that seemingly hollow and emotionless pair of eyes.
Anon smirked, "Did you wish to know why I am happy?"
However, it did not reply, opting rather only to continue staring in the comfort of silence.
