Mythology Rebooted-Chapter 460 - 207: Acheron, Hexahedron, Slaying
Chapter 460: Chapter 207: Acheron, Hexahedron, Slaying
"You’ve seen through me..."
"My name is Marius, I am a Familiar of the Blood Monarch, commanded to arrive in the human world."
Marius’s eyes were blood-red; he didn’t intend to hide anything, raising his hands and conjuring two heavy weapons made of blood crystal.
One was a broadsword wide as a door, the other a massive axe that required two hands to wield.
He provocatively looked at Wayne, "Death Knight, no, the reborn Death Knight, you stole the Sealing Book of the Blood Monarch, twice in succession, handing over the Shadow Nightmare and the Sealing Book. I will plead with my master to spare your head to forge the Holy Grail."
So there’s nothing to discuss!
Wayne laughed out loud; the bald man opposite him didn’t seem too bright, having traded intelligence for a body of brawn. He hadn’t even asked, yet everything had been confessed.
The Headless Knight had been exposed;
Devils have the ability to summon their Familiars to the human world;
The Familiars come from Frank...
In a split second, Wayne analyzed the multitude of information, muttering to himself about the troublesome situation. Controlling the Headless Knight were not just one, but a group of Devils.
The Blood Tyrant had the power to summon his Familiars; what about the other Devils?
If the Blood Tyrant could summon his Familiars, why didn’t he do so on Dragonheart Island? Are there restrictions on summoning?
What about the promised Heaven Seal? The Devils are getting too brazen, what are the Angels doing?
Wayne rattled off three questions, sentencing Marius to death in his mind. Devils were too dangerous; even as Familiars, they couldn’t be allowed to linger in the human world for long.
He resolved to annihilate them regardless of the consequences!
On the skull face, a sudden burst of white light flickered.
With a screech, Yuliya burst through the space ahead into the portal, carrying Wayne to Marius’s side. The Divine Artifact Shadow Nightmare bloomed with a dazzling white light, aiming straight for Marius’s neck.
Marius roared angrily, blocking the Shadow Nightmare with his broadsword, but the powerful charge from the Undead Warhorse forced his robust body to stagger back repeatedly.
Then there was a crisp cracking sound, as the crystalline broadsword couldn’t withstand the Divine Artifact Shadow Nightmare and began to fracture as if it would snap the next second. freёnovelkiss.com
Marius relied on Faith Magic again, stabilizing the shape of the broadsword with his will. His muscles tensed as he planted his feet deep into the ground to counteract the charge of the Undead Warhorse.
He growled from his throat, powering up with one arm, his thick arm swelled in size, lifting the fallen heavy axe high above and swinging it round towards Wayne’s head.
Boom!
The blade of the axe made contact with the white skull, setting off a shower of sparks. The surging Death Essence spread, corrupting the heavy axe into tainted blood, which then turned to ashes and dispersed.
Meanwhile, Yuliya opened a portal beneath her hooves, using the downward force to rapidly fall into it.
Marius held his sword, remaining vigilant.
A dark figure descended from above, a portal opening right above his head.
Yuliya’s hooves trampled down, spewing purple flames that scorched Marius’s body, while Wayne flourished his blade, and the Knight’s Sword came crashing down on him.
In the blink of an eye, Marius raised his long sword to block, while his eyes emitted a flash of blood-red light, shooting out energy beams.
The red light met the stillness of Death, slowing to a crawl, nearly being engulfed by Death in the blink of an eye.
The Shadow Nightmare descended from above, severing the crystalline broadsword...
Splash!
A scream rang out, and blood gushed everywhere.
Marius, clutching his severed arm, quickly leaped to the side.
"That’s all, you dare to run rampant in the human world with such little strength, and disturb my beautiful dream needlessly."
Wayne stood with his sword at his side, while Yuliya crushed the severed arm under her hooves, the Death Essence sweeping in to rot the limb into a dry bone.
The white bone turned dark yellow, trampled into pieces by the hooves, and finally, mixed into the mud and merged with the earth.
Marius’s wound where his arm had been torn off spurted blood at a staggering rate, heedlessly like a floodgate opened.
On the ground, blood pooled into a river, where figures of monstrous beings thrashed within the Acheron, empowered by Blood Magic, the blood river rumbled, threatening to transform into a blood lake.
Wayne remained calm, his cloak fluttering behind him. The grey Death Essence turned into tendrils that spread out, seeping into the omnipresent fog and devouring the Acheron from all sides.
A small scene, not scary at all!
In the west side of the Grand Cemetery, Ah Bin steered the dense fog, aiding his master in swallowing the scarlet of the Acheron, while Ah Bo stood by, his Super Vision scanning the surroundings.
Soon, he spotted a figure hiding behind a tree.
The Holy See’s white combat attire, with a golden Crucifix pattern on the back.
Mona!
Ah Bo frowned, feeling he had seen that face somewhere before. He asked Ah Bin, puzzled, and received an answer from a secretary.
Why would a skeleton need a secretary?
And this secretary...
She resembled an employee from the Wayne Detective Agency.
Ah Bo fell silent. He didn’t dare say, he didn’t dare ask, delighted that his master had a clergy member as a secretary.
No doubt about it, his master was just not tactfully righteous, fond of spouting villainous rhetoric but at heart, a good person.
Elsewhere.
Guyin hid in the shadows, intently observing the one-sided battle.
The Death Knight was stronger than he had imagined, and Marius weaker. The former was a troublesome adversary; the latter carried other intentions, having never shown his full strength.
"Rough on the outside, but with a delicate heart inside, you almost had me..."
Guyin shook his head. Marius’s actions were nothing more than an attempt to lure him and Juliet to strike proactively.
He had a bit of cunning but not much because he and Juliet genuinely didn’t care whether Marius lived or died.
It was best if he died!
Lundan wasn’t large by any means, barely a few million people, not enough for three Devils to share. It was time for the Blood Tyrant’s Familiar to exit the stage early.
With that in mind, Guyin slowly retreated, leaving the Grand Cemetery.
